Tradition: Exploring the Roots of Church Traditions

Rate this book
A captivating and often startling exposé filled with historical intrigue. It will leave the reader stunned at what has been manifested in the dark halls of history since the first-century church. This book is fast-paced and shocking in its examination of various man-made church traditions which have, far too often, strayed from clear Scriptural mandates. Bob Cornuke will reveal hidden secrets of the past and point the way out of the malaise of manufactured traditions by setting compass, rudder, and sails aimed directly at God’s authoritative Word. The presentation of historical facts and characters in this book will amaze, inspire, and may even cause intellectual whiplash.

Excellent, thought provoking, challenging, revealing, and a warning to today's church. We all have traditions we love and strive to protect. Read the book and put away the sacred cows.

Excellent, thought provoking, chalenging, revealing, and a warning to today's church. We all must realize our thoughts and ideas are just that - ours. We have not cornered all the truth, so let's not think we have all the answers.

This book was not only informative, but it also kept me hooked and held my attention. I found it very interesting. The author presented the information in a calm and easy to understand way. The book is beautifully organized making my reading experience much more enjoyable. As far as the content, the author gives descriptive details from the torture tactics used in early Europe to the Reformation of the Catholic Church. The content is so well written you really get an idea of what times were like in the early points in religious history. Having read this book from start to finish, I would recommend it to anyone with the slightest bit of early European Christianity. Personally, I knew nothing about the roots of Christianity. After reading this piece I feel more enriched of knowledge about the Christian faith than I had before.
