Full of fun. Situational comedy was catching for kids.

Message for kids was "If you care for someone you need to show it and you may need to sacrifice something if you deeply care"

Read because it was the only 'Z' book on our bookshelves at home to complete a reading challenge. It wasn't fine literature but with lots of Minecraft references, boogers, vomit and a thread of how to develop a friendship with others running through the 'plotline', I can see the appeal to a young reader.

A combination of Parent Trap, Hunger Games and everything Minecraft - what more could you want? My 9-year-old loves to read these with me. If you can get past the occasional missing word or other editing mistake it's actually not too bad.

As a kid when I was a REALLY big Minecraft fan, I asked my mom one time to get me this series at Scholastic Book Fair. She ordered them and within a few day they came. I remember binge-reading this book all day because I couldn't get enough of it! As I look back at this book i remember how good I thought it was as a kid, and now looking back at it, I realize that its actually a very well put together book in itself. It puts you into the shoes of the zombie and gives a new perspective of how the zombie feels that you normally wouldn't even think of! Overall it's a very good book and I loved the series as a kid :)

I liked this book book because I liked the part when Zack switched bodies with Steve. Zack thought human life was easy and zombie life is hard, he was wrong! When he switched bodies with Steve, he realized it was the opposite.

Another in this diary styled series about young zombie, who has now swapped bodies with another geezer who is human, sort of, anyway - not knowing anything about Minecraft there may be hidden statements here about what it all means, anyway essentially it is all gross out gags and boy humour. One of these days I'' commit to just reading the rest of these in short order, but for now I'll meander along.

A cute book with a good lesson about friendship and the difficulties of trying to fit in in middle school. I know next to nothing about Minecraft, but that's not what the story was really about anyway in my opinion. It's kind of an unusual body-swap story (unusual to me anyway) where a zombie has to learn how to act like a human. Anyone who has tried to learn to fit in in a new environment knows something of what he goes through.

Oh man, this series is repetitive and annoying. Man, my son doesn’t even play Minecraft but enjoys thinking and talking about it. Man, I’ve said man a lot in this, and that’s because the writing style also does so.
I know I’m not the target audience for this series, but man (woops) I don’t think my son got much out of it other than listening to me read to him.
I gave it an extra star for the bonding session.

This was confusing to start with, since kiddo tends to borrow books out of order from the library and so obviously we didn't know there had been a cliffhanger in the previous book - the first time this has happened to us in this series, actually (I wonder if the author stopped doing it?). But kiddo thought the premise was fun and he enjoyed the book itself. A bit longer than the usual instalment, but worth the extra pages.

The spelling and grammatical errors in this book (and others in the series) are painful to read. However my 7 year old nephew absolutely loves this series of stories. Additionally, Zombie's actions in the books have led to some great conversations about choices, morals, etc.

I have enjoyed following the adventure of this goofy zombie with my son. He loves laughing at the references to so many Minecraft and other zombie references. We will be enjoying the continuing of this series.

I’m not a minecraft fan so I’m really not in a position to judge this book as a fan. As just a reader though, I found the story to be interesting, yet ludicrous. The writing style was good and enjoyable to read.

I read this book with a student, and I honestly expected to dislike it. But the book was charming and fun and inventive. I, a person who has not even looked into downloading the Minecraft game, considered reading the series for its fun humor and characters.

The storyline is okay. I’ve counted 10+ typographical errors and we are 60% through the book. I can understand one or two typos in a published book, but it’s like they stopped trying or they were just trying to meet a deadline and pushed it through.
