Vivian I’m the last person who should have ever been abducted by aliens. For me, this new life is a death sentence. I’m no hero like the other women I was abducted with. No, I’m a coward. They’ll do whatever it takes to help each other and I’ll simply do whatever it takes to survive, no matter what the cost. But there’s one alien who refuses to accept my outlook on life. As a matter of fact, he’s determined to change my mind.
Dax I know I am the only male who will be able to pull Vivian from the darkness consuming her. Finding an opportunity, I decide to steal her away from the others, if only for a short while. What she needs is adventure, a little fun and excitement to remind her of all the beauty there is in life. I try to tell myself this is all just a game to lift the human’s spirits, but deep in my core I know my feelings for Vivian will change me forever.
Dax and Vivian begin their journey with an innocent enough adventure, but just as they start to find love in one another, an evil crime lord rips the pair apart. Without Dax to light her way, Vivian plunges back into darkness. Her alien mate’s life hangs in the balance and she is forced to fight for both his survival and her own. What lengths will Vivian go to to protect the male she loves? And will her actions prove her to be the true monster in this tale of ALIEN ASCENSION.

The following ratings are out of 5: Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙 Romance: 💚🖤💙❤️💜 Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥 Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘 World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏🌎 Character development: 🤓🙂😎😕😍
The heroine:Vivian - she is a self proclaimed coward and cry-baby. After being abducted by aliens, bought by gargoyle like aliens who save them from sex slavery, then crash landing the cargo ship onto an alien planet, she sees nothing but danger every where she looks. She is afraid for her future and the huge gargoyle guys make her afraid as well despite the fact that they have treated the women very well.
The Hero:Dax - he is one of the gargoyle-like aliens that rescues the human women from slavery. He has worked for the UPC (military for the United Planets) and most recently for his friend Rennek who’s family is very wealthy. They run a cargo ship gathering flora and fauna from different worlds to terraform new planets. They buy some of the cargo from a shady dealer and find that human women are among the cargo, so they buy as many as they can afford and inform the UPC of the dealer who is illegally capturing and selling the human women (who look like the goddesses that they worship).
The Story: After their ship crashes on an alien planet, the crew and the women are getting along well. Though Dax sees that Vivian isn’t doing well and seems to sink deeper into depression every day. He thinks that the others are not helping by catering to her. He thinks that he can bring her out of it if he sneaks her away and gives her an adventure where she will be forced to be brave and she will gain confidence and end up enjoying everything life has to offer.
The book is told in dual points of view via dual narration. The narration is done by Mason Lloyd and Noelle Bridges who do a great job. I like Noelle Bridges as she is able to portray emotion through her voice and she also has a very different and deeper voice that she uses for the males. Mason Lloyd is terrific at alien romance. He speaks in a stilted voice that works wonderfully for alien males who have a different language so are heard by the female through a translator.
Although Vivian was exceedingly annoying at the start of this book, I liked how Dax brings her out of her shell and forces her to ‘man up’ so to speak. His plan definitely works and they travel over the planet they crashed on to find the escape pod, they travel through space, landing first on another planet where they meet the natives and then to a space station and more.
I love the ‘odyssey’ like travels in a story like this. This is a longer book for an alien romance and though Vivian is still afraid at points throughout the story, she does eventually become the strong character Dax knew she could be and the way she does that is exciting.
About half way though, this book decided to separate the hero and heroine and send them on their own separate adventures. This already sucked but I figured that they would eventually get back together and they would fight their enemies together sooner rather than later. Did that happen? Of course not.
Instead, the author gave us a horror story of the heroine being used as a slave to do her master’s bidding. Going so far as to get her some really disgusting body modifications that made her no longer look human. She sits by and lets all this happen to her because she’s afraid her master will kill the hero if she doesn’t cooperate. She literally got full body tattoos and had her hair shaved, plus more.
I am absolutely disgusted by this author’s brand of “romance”. I read the previous two books in this series and nothing could have prepared me for this horror.
The heroine doesn’t even evolve into a better person. She’s still the same weak shit going with the flow of other people’s whims. Fuck her and fuck this author for writing this story. I’m out, and will never trust this author again.
I have no idea how this book has such a high rating.
The review that starts “fuck this book” is spot on. But I’ll add to it.
I liked the previous two books. They weren’t the usual alien books. A bit grittier with an overarching mythology that was different. So I could appreciate that the girl who was afraid of everything would be the next heroine. And that she’d be paired with the happy go lucky but a bit lacking in sense warrior.
There was a lack of logic in this story. Beyond the usual disbelief suspension. She’s a librarian who changes her name when abducted. Because that’s a super great time to try on a new persona, when everything in your reality suddenly changes. I’m sure that’s how all timid self loathing librarian types react. Sure. But despite the awareness that she can be someone different, she’s *still* scared of her own shadow. Those two things - a will to build something new and a paralysis preventing her from reeeaaally doing it - don’t go together. Yes, we are all contrarians - but the author doesn’t explore this. There’s no 3D here. These two opposites are presented as twins, not mirrors.
There was a point where this could have been a story of growth with a sort of romantic sweetness. She could even have kept and developed her independence and strength. But her one free choice of how to behave - pole dancing on a bar in a crowded room - becomes her death sentence. And it was here that I started to think the author hates this character.
Whether the goal was to illustrate how we become that which we fear the most (and I don’t think this book is that deep despite what the heroine says) or that the author simply despised her characters, it was a major fail.
As for the hero, why he stole her off the planet was a lost opportunity for a ROMANCE as soon as the author decided to separate the two for MONTHS. She came along with him so easily because he kidnapped her. The scene where the two come together after the heroine is permanently dyed orange, tattooed full body, shaved, and implanted with body altering prosthetics is where I knew the author hated her characters - both of them.
This book would have benefited from a covered cutting room floor and a new direction. Pro tip: it’s difficult to care about characters who don’t care about themselves. It’s difficult to care about characters who experience zero growth. Prudence/Vivian is a coward at the beginning, middle, and end. I pitied her, her inability to make a proactive decision, and how that impacted Dax.
Even the 4 and 5 star reviewers didn’t like the heroine. They too point out that the hero and heroine are separated. That it’s weird.
But I started laughing when after months chained to the wall, Dax finally times the weakening of his chains to snapping them off and breaking out of his cell. That’s when I started laughing. Because…sure. :::eyeroll::: Yeah, now Vivian needs him and he’s coming. Right. But that’s explained later by the villain “letting” them all go. Unhuh. After implanting Vivian with an expensive defensive system and training her to be an “elite guard”…laughing as I type that.
“There isn’t much time we have to save Vi!!”
Dude it’s been months. She’s orange now.
I laughed even harder when her big assassination attempt was poisoning a drink in a pantry. So the body dye and full tattoo and prosthetics and shaved head disguise were for POISONING FROM A PANTRY. When her target ignores the drinks, she - now looking like a well known race of WARRIORS - basically gives him a fucking scarf swinging lap dance in a brothel. As if.
ALL the torture and screaming and body disfigurement was completely unnecessary AND illogical.
I also laughed when normal human Allison puts Vivian the big bad modified cyborg’s ass on the ground.
I’m sorry. When you’ve been dyed orange, tattooed from bald skull to feet and implanted with bumpy prosthetics, you ARE your appearance. Let’s get real. Should have stopped with Dax braiding her hair. That’s when this book should have ended.
All her inside ugly ends up on the outside? Is that what we are supposed to conclude? But I didn’t think she was ugly inside. She was insecure. Frightened. Panic stricken. Focused on her own survival to the exclusion of others. How is any of that ugly?! Honestly I didn’t even find it that irritating - unlike the 4 and 5 star reviewers!
“I can’t help but consider all the ways we have grown together.”
Saying it doesn’t make it so, buddy.
They leave her altered and she is suddenly okay with it. The girl who’s still scared. And all the other human girls act like it’s completely normal their friend is a tattooed orange pop. That would never happen. Nobody suggested they help her regain a normal appearance after being barbarically altered.
Plus, the epilogue was retarded.
Bottom line: This isn’t a romance. It’s a horror story. If I could give it negative stars, I would. I gave it one because I’m pretty sure no stars doesn’t get added to the average. And that average deserves to come down. The only reason I didn’t DNF is because it was a Hoopla borrow. But fuck this book.
PS I think what I really hated about this story was there was no hope. All adventures should have hope. But no. They didn’t grow, sure. But there was no hope for them to save themselves. Even the epilogue makes sure you know they - all four at that point - were only released because the villain let them go. And that’s just illogical bullshit.
V is a heroine that people don't think about reading. The crybaby. The coward. The low self-esteem person.
She annoyed me too much.
Dax was a great hero. Outgoing, fun, caring, etc.
But I just couldn't BELIEVE some of the events in this book (yet here I am reading an alien romance).
Spoilers:
Flying and not getting them killed? Winning a race against someone who knows the track and has been flying for a long time (Anakin anyone?) Becoming a lousy spy? Not crying during the tattoo session. Also - the ending felt rushed. Here they reunite after months being apart and there is nothing covering her insecurities about how she looks and stuff (only a small touch).
Here she goes being a coward and crap the whole book, jealous of other pretty females and highly low self-esteem, yet there is no big deal about how she now looks when she reunites with Dax?
The first book in the series is still my favorite out of the three. The 2nd book - I couldn't like either the H/h and this one, Dax saved the story.
Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Plot/Storyline: 📖📖📖📖 Feels: 🦋🦋🦋 Emotional Depth: 💔💔💔 Sexual Tension: ⚡⚡⚡⚡ Romance: 💞💞💞 Sensuality: 💋💋💋💋 Sex Scene Length: 🍑🍑🍑🍑 Steam Scale (Number of Sex Scenes): 🔥🔥 Humor: Yes, though there are some dark parts in the book Perspective: First person alternating hero and heroine and a few short chapters of a side character (Naren) that works for the main villain.

Should I read in order? Maybe not totally necessary? But best in order. I don’t think the heroine is really mentioned at all and the hero has some minor page time in the prior books. But you’ll get to know the planet and storyline of what occurred prior to this story starting.
Basic plot: Heroine is a self admitted coward and isn’t handling being abducted by aliens the best. She has a darkness consuming her and Dax believes if he just takes her away on some adventures she will come out of it.
Give this a try if you want: - Sci-fi romance - Alien hero/human heroine - Road trip feel for some of the book - Mix of on the home planet, space travel, and another planet setting - one bed - hero braids the heroine’s hair - fated mates - you’re okay with quite a few content warnings (see below under spoiler warning) - Low to mid steam – This one felt like such a low steam read to me with 2 full scenes but the page count seemed to be longer
My thoughts: This book was a roller coaster ride for me. It does start rather questionable. We know that Vivienne has a bit of ‘darkness’ she can’t shake after being abducted for an alien slave trade and then rescued. And Dax is sure that he can’ fix her – but his strategy is to basically tell her they need to go and he takes her away from the planet. So this is kind of questionable for sure, but whatever I can go with it.
Honestly, I adored Dax. I loved how playful he was. I loved how much he cared for and watched Vivienne from the beginning. I loved how he braided her hair for her, and bought her clothes, and butted his head against her in that playful way to motivate her and bolster her confidence. The beginning part of this book was blossoming into such a feeling of strong friendship between them and I adored it. I loved it so much. If the second half had gone differently this may have been my favorite in the series.
But Vivienne...sigh. I actually loved her too in the first half of the book. Watching her get her confidence through things that Dax had her do (which again, is going to bother a lot of people – forcing someone to face their trauma by doing fairly traumatic things for her that made her scared probably isn’t the best way around that.) By the time they had left the ‘hamster planet’ I was loving their journey. Loving Dax and Vivienne.
Then we come to...whatever the planet’s name is where they spend the remainder of the book. And it all quickly went downhill for me. Vivienne became brash, jealous, and petty to me. Instead of having confidence she resorted to scenes of violence against others and constantly reflected on how she had no self identity. She struggled so hard against her Earth life she was doing everything she could to be opposite of that, whether it was what she wanted to be or was true to herself or not. By the end of the book I honestly thought she was in even worse shape than she started.
But I could not be sold on their HEA. For me, the fact that she blatantly refused to step up for her hero was so gross to me. I expect more of my fictional heroines that what Vivienne gave me here and I was left disliking her immensely. The whole ending was just something I skimmed through to get through. I thought Dax, while definitely made some bad choices, didn’t have a good match in Vivienne.
Spoiler-y thoughts
Cock/Hero Stats:
Quotes/thoughts: taken from audio, all mistakes are my own.
Vivian was a complex character and most of the book I strongly disliked her. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the weepy depressed beginning of the book Vivian, but I got where she was coming from and that she was experiencing a trauma response. Mid journey Vivian? Not a fan. The road of her transformation felt a little too perfect at times. Don’t get me wrong, there was plenty of adversity, but her “natural talent” was a bit much. I liked Dax, although he was definitely pretty short sighted. They fit together pretty well, though more spice would have been appreciated.
As noted by other reviews, and the author as well, this story has issues. Vivian's transformation from weak to strong lacks foundation. Her trials are ridiculous, and in the end she doesn't really save the day. The romantic aspects are limited and tepid.
However, the adventure aspects were quite thrilling.
I'll read some more in this series, as I like the universe.
I don’t have it in me right now to read a book where the hero is contemplating doing something which may further traumatize the heroine “for her own good”.
Plus, just read Inna’s review and sounds like this book just goes downhill from there. Ick. I don’t need that in my brain!
It's been so long since the last time I wrote a review. I'm giving ratings on all the books that I've listened to but I can't on this one. I will be giving spoilers, so if you don't want to know just skip my comment. I just really need to voice this out.
I started loving the alien series of another author and came across with TL. I've listened to the first 2 books and so far so good until this 3rd book.
I'm not even finish listening and I don't even know if I will continue this cause it pains me. First of all, I really wanted to love the Hero but his carelessness brought the heroine in the most awful situation that you can't even imagine. Hell! I didn't even see it coming, when Allison in the second book gave a hint about V, I knew that she will be an assassin, but I thought that she will be a human assassin. All the changes that they made on her guts me and its making me hate Dax more.
I'd rather her loss her memory of her being a human so she could start her life fresh than suffer like this since in my opinion, the Hero doesn't deserve her. Heck! I even want V to hate him. But I know in the end they will be together anyways.
I am on the last hour and a half of this book, I might as well fast forward it to just get it over with. LOL
Not as good as I thought it would be. There has to be a better way for Dax to bring out Vivian's true personality than putting her in dangerous situations. Dax knew The Oscillion so he should have predicted he would take Vivian away from him & be more careful but he easily accepted a drugged alcohol. Idiot
I am super torn on how I feel about this book. While I can appreciate the journey Vivian had to go through to shed the trappings of her old life (and, quite frankly, to come to terms with her new reality among the stars), I DID NOT like how she was forced into it. I'm not talking about Dax taking her on an adventure without telling her the whys or wheres. I'm talking about what was done to her by the Oscillion.
I get the feeling we're supposed to think of him as some sort of hidden hero because he's fighting the good fight (or something?), but I just can't. The body mods that were forced on her without her consent (or with consent only given because she was trying to keep Dax alive) felt akin to sexual assault. She didn't ask for it and she only accepted it because the alternative (Dax being killed if she refused) was something she couldn't stomach.
She was forced to kill and maim and the Oscillion didn't seem to care that she was unprepared for any of it and, in fact, seemed surprised that she'd pulled off her missions at all. (No lie, if he ever does get a book, both he and Narron are going to have to jump through hoops to get me on board with them as quasi-decent dudes. Hoops. Flaming hoops. So many flaming hoops.)
As for Vivian, I had no problem with her being so afraid she was willing to leave everybody behind in the beginning, but it sort of bothers me that she didn't really try to rescue Dax at any point after the bad stuff started happening. While I totally get that she wasn't a strategist and she'd been told he'd be killed if she attempted escape of any kind, she just kind of shrugged her shoulders and did the training thing and went along with what she was told to do instead of even trying to formulate a plan of action.
When I really think about it, I think the thing that bothers me is that SO MUCH could have gone wrong with the Oscillion's plan. Vivian barely survived several things that happened to her and... I don't know. Like, why invest so much into someone or thing when the chance of her ending up dead or permanently damaged is so high? (Clearly, the whole thing going on here bothers me since I keep coming back to it.)
Despite my grousing, I do like the Vendari and their quests to find their mates. Maybe because a chunk of this book didn't involve Dax and Vivian figuring out things as a team and a couple, I feel like their story isn't done. They had an adventure and then their time together turned into separate nightmares which they both had to individually escape from. There wasn't a whole lot of THEM at the end and I think that's what I wanted.
I too me awhile to get into the book but then Viv seemed to find herself and boy did she show everyone just who she was ! I wasn't expecting her to do a 180 lol . WOW she really became her own person. Seeing her grow and change kept me totally involved in the story . Keep writing I'm loving everyone of these books . Each gets better and better !!!
Not my favorite of the series. The author is correct in assuming that many people will not connect with Vivian as she is not very likable. Dax is sweet but not enough to pull of the story.
There seems to be a theme with the author to take despicable characters and try to redeem them through love story and hardships. Only this book is another failure to do so. If I disliked Vivian at the beginning of the book then I was completely disgusted by her by the end. There is nothing attractive in being pathetic, cowardly or selfish. Hell,if author could have managed to show her character growth, I may have felt differently about V at the end. Instead I got a complete 180° change in character at a snap of finger. It was so unbelievable, it bordered on being ridiculous. Another human heroine that I think would be better off getting sacrificed along the way to let Dax get someone likeable. Yes,I know, there are a lot of different human characters to choose from, but when I pick up alien romance novel,I expect to at least like main female lead a bit or at the least see her evolvement into one deserving love. Not this hysterical/psychotic mess without a single good quality.
Dax on other hand was a sweetheart, someone a girl might look for in her partner. But he gets cut off from huge part of the story and so can't really sway my opinion.
I also don't get what was the point of chapters from Allisons perspective unless it was to make her even more shareable. That woman deserves a strong kick to the face and professional therapy sessions. By this point I am upset there is a book wasted on her story.
Ending obviously is not authors strong points. As usual it is extremely rushed, too many loose ends ,too mutch skipping over . By now I expected it but it still annoyed a shit out of me.
I wanted to like this book but I just can't. There are parts that are good, like when you start to see their relationship develop. However, as a whole it didn't grab me. I couldn't relate much to either character. I wanted to slap Vivian 80 percent of the time.
This is my second review for this series. I chose not to review the previous book because it was not my cuppa. This one, however was fine. I really, really like Dax. Loved him. I really really hated Vivian up until the very end of the book. I didn’t like anything about her at all until she got over herself, which didn’t happen until the very last bit of the book. So, averaging the two MCs, I like the book overall.
Do I recommend? Well, sure, but I’d have to put a caveat. This book toes the line for me when it comes to triggers. Me, I can read just about anything, but that isn’t true for everyone, so I’d say if you’re sensitive about human trafficking, this book might hit you hard. It might not. Just a friendly warning it deals with some hard situations.
This being the third book of this series, I have to answer the question, will I continue reading the series? Maybe. What I want to read is about The Red King. He’s made two appearances in this series and I want to read about him. If not, I will probably pass. I am planning on taking Hunting Faith out for a spin, so I’m not done with this author yet.
I threw a bit of a tantrum whilst reading this book. I'm honestly disappointed and devastated for Vivian and Dax because their story went from unlikely to worse with a moment of reprieve at about the halfway point.
The author took risks not normally seen in the romance genre and I think her Psyc background influences her writing where there's a huge focus on overcoming obstacles to becoming a better person.
I can admire the author for her risktaking and in the other books I was able to enjoy the story regardless because I had that in mind but man, there were a lot of things that did not need to happen in this book. My heart genuinely began to sink at about the 60 percent mark because that would have been a great place to begin to wrap up Vivian and Dax's story as Vivian had started to become the woman she wanted to become. Growth could have continued in the other characters books with other challenges where she did not need to to go through another traumatic experience that was not just emotionally devastating but physically.
I am genuinely heartbroken and pissed and because of this I am DNF'ing; my heart really can't take much more of this.
Finally getting back to this series and now we are seeing what happened with Vivian and DAX. I have to say, Vivian was so annoying up to this point in the series and for most of the first half of the book as well. She was literally afraid of her own shadow. The adorable Dax has been keeping an eye on her and doing his best to try to cheer her up. Nothing had worked until he has an idea to take her on an adventure. I'm so glad that TL decides to do those with the characters, pulling Vivian away from the other human females forced her to trust one of the alien saviors and this allowed her to learn more about who she wanted to be. We get to learn so much about Vivian who is really just an introvert that was surrounded by a group of loud extroverts which made her shrink. I enjoyed watching the relationship between her and DAX Grow through a slow burn. TL also managed to break my heart in this book. I really enjoyed it for the most part. Though the last ten chapters I could've done without.
I like the universe Tracy Lauren created for this series. I enjoyed the first two books, and some books after this, but Alien Ascension is just not for me.
To start, I hate Dax. He’s all like: “I see a human in distress, extremely traumatized, to whom I am deeply attracted, what can I do to make her life better and help her overcome her fears? Let me think… Let me put her in danger and take her to live what I consider to be adventures but at honestly just unnecessary risk. Because I’m that stupid. Ha.”
I can’t be emphatic enough, I HATE the guy. I understand his appeal, the nice outgoing carefree hero, but he’s just such a jerk. Everything bad that happens to V is HIS fault and he should feel guilt for the rest of his life.
I don’t mind V’s personality so much, I suppose I’d feel the same terror if I ended up in space, I think it’s only a natural reaction. I just couldn’t stop the feeling of “why is she going through all of this? Geez, Dax, take her home already, that’s enough.”
Maybe some people will like the adventure going on in the book but this is not my case.
I loved this book, but I also desperately hated it. I did not expect to connect so deeply with Vivian from the other books, but her journey was just.....so......look, I don’t want to say anything that will ruin it for someone reading this for the first time but I found myself actively screaming and crying and verbally cheering in this book more than I ever have. And while this book has sent me on a whirlwind of emotions and love and pain so catastrophic that I fear *I* May be slightly messed up from this book.......I can say definitively that I loved it, that I am fiercely committed to this series, and that I hunger for more. (Also, shoot, wish the goddess myths were in the glossary.)
Initially Vivian reminded me a lot of Ariana from (Ruby Dixon's) Barbarian's Beloved with the intense anxiety she suffers from. However at some point the storyline takes a little bit of a darker turn. The transformation that she goes through physically and psychologically were like a rollercoaster ride but I actually loved it. It may even be my favorite book in the series so far. I really loved Dax and I like that each book in this series is unique from the others in that none of them follow a predicatable pattern. (Probably still good to read them in order tho.) You can never guess where the storyline will go in this series. I also appreciate great world building and I think Tracy Lauren has done a great job.
Oh God, I really didn't like V's character in the beginning. I just don't have the patience for true cowards. Everything she did would annoy me. I almost DNF'ed this book because of my disdain for this character, but I am glad I read on. I grew to like her. Her growth was something to see, even though I can admit it was rushed and a little far fetched. I even started to kind of root for her. I do see that it can be problematic, but its alien romance/fiction, so not putting a lot into that. Dax did save the story.
I never thought I would love another author like my beloved Ruby Dixon, but Tracy Lauren has such depth and her characters are so real, I will read anything that she writes!
Vivienne is tortured by her sad, scared, and selfish way of life. Dax is determined to show ‘V’ that there is so much more to her and the life she thinks she should have.
‘Alien Ascension,’ by Tracy Lauren, takes you on a journey of soul, where each character develops skills and awareness about themselves. We feel each time Dax’s heart beats louder, each second Vivienne questions her place in her old and new world, and even the evil that lurks in each setting they come upon.
The underlying theme? There are so many more layers to each of us: love, lust, power, fear, pride, and ultimately, self worth.
Vivian is didn't, she does not want to be where she is, stranded on a alien world, so she wallows in self pity and despair. Dax dies not like this and the coddling she receives from the fellow humans makes him more version he needs to get her away to rediscover the joy in life. Her journey is a hard one, and she grows in spurts and bonds while suffering some setbacks. Dax is torn from her at a critical moment and she may never recover from what her new reality will be. Great work from the author, a pleasure to read this story and i can hardly wait for the next one....
I have to admit V annoyed me to no end. I wanted to quit this book so many times the only reason I didn’t was because of Dax. I am glad that she finally wasn’t a waste of space and I understand she grew up with a hard life but people that do and actually had one person that did look out for them are not usually that pathetic or maybe they are idk. If they are like that I’m glad Dax saw something good in her. The ending surprised me and I loved it. Dax and the ending made me give it 4 stars V made me want to give it 2 then 3 cause in the end she came up in my opinion.
What a great journey!!! Our lead characters are Vivian and Dax. Dax sees that Vivian is not adapting to her new world and wants to help her. I love how Dax tries to get V to have her confidence and to get her to have fun in their adventures. In the end, V grew into a very strong character and was able to see herself worthy in her own eyes! I can not wait to read more!!!
I listened to the audio book version of this story and I enjoyed it more than the previous book. Vivian and Dax's story was funny, swery, romantic, steamy and suspenseful. Their story is unlike any paranormal story I have ever read. I was excited to see Vivian grow into a strong woman/killer. She came a long way from the weak and crying woman. This story left me excited to listen to the next book in this series. I enjoyed this one a lot.
I found this book more enjoyable then the first two books, V was a very scared and anxious human female that everyone else took care of but the fun loving alien rescuer saw she wasn’t doing well on the new planet they were starting over on. So he steals her away one night so show her an adventure and to find her inner self.
She ends up changing both physically & emotionally after they find themselves in a sticky situation.
This book is just as great as the previous ones and holds your attention from beginning? It has action, drama, evil villains, adventure, and steamy hot romance with awesome characters? This book will not disappoint in any way and so ready to read the next book in the series?
