Matters of the heart used to be so simple...There is one woman that I’ve been in love with for ten years. She doesn’t feel the same way, and I know that, but I refuse to give up on the woman I love. Things progress over the years, and I could only hope that they would eventually progress to the relationship I wanted with her. Things suddenly change, taking a turn in a favorable direction. She finally comes around, vowing to give me a chance to prove I could be the one for her, but something, or rather someone threatens that. Jaida Justine Lewis. Our connection is so unexpected, so raw, so spiritual. I can’t for the life of me resist her. As a high-profile, Grammy award winning rapper, I could have any woman I wanted, but I don’t operate like that. My heart should only be for one, but somewhere along the way, that changes. Being raised in the church afforded me to have high moral standards, but this... It’s one of the most difficult decisions I’ve made, but it was also the easiest, if that makes sense. After dealing with the demons in my past and overcoming life and career threatening obstacles, I know who my heart is for. Hearts get broken and souls get bruised. Time heals wounds, and love prevails when all seems lost. At least that’s what my mind says. Tell my heart that, though, because it can't seem to let go of what once was.

Starting with poetry, writing has always been a constant in Monica's life. The interest began in her teenage years, being in love for the first time. Her love for writing has only progressed. Song lyrics and poetry led to short stories, then one day in her down time, a short story became a 56k word novel. It has been non-stop since then. Being a wife and mother, has only added to the joys of Monica's life. Attaining a BS in Sociology, helping her better understand people and their behaviors, has only helped her become a better writer, understanding characters and their complex personalities. Romance of all types has been her passion, and she plans to continue honing her skills in that genre.

As it is written!

As I was reading this masterpiece I could not wait to type up this review...now that I've finished reading it, I'm speechless 😳 This story gave me EVERYTHING!!! I love this series!!!! I laughed, cried, sighed, and almost died with every word, page, situation, action, and reaction. EMOTIONAL beyond belief!!!!! Noah (sigh) is beyond words....his love and passion is what every woman craves from her king. Jah sometimes seemed unreal, but then turn around and have you rolling you neck and poppin yo lips. Poor Raqui still torn and confused, but finally...happy. The devil herself HAZEL had me wanting to see her in the streets for stuff she did 30 years ago....no matter her pathology she is an awful person and I need somebody to truly hold her accountable for the abuse she inflicted on innocent children while pretending to be a woman of God. Spoiler Alert: This cliff hanger ending is so not fair, but such as life. On to Ryan Jr's story for the conclusion.

Thank you Monica Walters & T Key....BRAVO!!!!!!!!

PS I HATE THE COVERS OF THESE BOOKS....THEY DO NOT DO THIS AWESONE BODY OF WORK JUSTICE.....PLEASE REDO THEM, YOU ARE SELLING YOUR GIFTED TALENT VERY SHORT. (all caps intentional)

Noah’s Story

A full length novel was a welcomed change. The author grabbed the readers interest and didn’t let go.
The characters were emotionally draining. Their actions ,reactions, and interactions causes the reader to experience evert emotion imaginable,
Definitely waiting to read Ryan’s story.
Great job!

Whew

This book was extremely long for no reason. It was good, but a lot could have been left out. Plus, it was just repeat dialogue throughout the whole book. Ok, on to the characters. I do not like Sonya at all. I hope she isn't in the next book. I'm so happy for Noah and Jah. Noah got on my nerves also. Forget about Sonya already. If you have such this spiritual pull to Jah, that is enough. I'm tired of Raqui also. All that darn crying. Gul, go get the pastah!! RJ is so silly. Good read.

How do I put this

I enjoyed this book. I’ve read some of Monica’s books about Sonya, idk why it took me a minute to realize it was the same Sonya but whatever lol. I like how it was realistic like it was hard for Noah to just leave her. I liked Noah reading “The flow of Jahs heart” but reading it from his perspective I truly believe Jah could do better than him. Idk maybe my take on cheating is different from others but Noah cheated plenty of times in this book. Idk why he viewed sex as the only form though.

I Just Couldn’t Finish…

I began reading this over 2 months ago and haven’t picked it back up since… I thought I’d give myself a break and come back to finish because I do not like to start a book without seeing it through. I have this book ⭐️⭐️ simply because I was excited to read Noah’s story but I’m only 35% through and I can’t muster up enough interest to finish. The Sweet series and Sonja’s storyline weaved in to each story has worn me out. This storyline is like beating a dead horse with a stick. It’s exhausting. And way too long!

Good Book

I'm glad that Ryan and Raquel finally have a chance to be together and still loved each other so many years later. I liked Noah with Jah rather than Sonya anyway because Noah's anointing needed carry on through his kids. I like RJ and Jazzy together because their personalities complement one another. I really dislike Hazel and wanted her to reap all them bad seeds that she's sown.

Good Read

Ok so this was a great story and a nice follow up to the previous book. This story tied up some loose ends, but this story seemed to drag on with the same scenarios repeating over and over again. I found myself skimming through most of the middle of the book and this was an extremely long story by the way, it did pick back up about 3 quarters through.

Complexities of Noah

Hmmm,😮‍💨 That was a lot‼️”The Book of Noah (Written Between the Pages #2) was an excellent read in the midst of several books/crossover books and standalone’s📚 I’ve read. Noah the grandson, son, brother, businessman, artist, friend (well, with one exception 🥴) and even as an acquaintance is an accommodating and a compassionate person; However, I’m conflicted and disappointed with Noah the man. ….or more accurately man-child 😤😏, he’s a hypocrite‼️ In his defense, I understand there are mitigating circumstances that contributed to his brokenness. (Yea, that’s my other issue with the series: John 🥴 & Hazel 🤬!) But I’m so frustrated with how he manipulates or maybe it’s how he justifies his expectations/interaction/relationship with Jaida. …and Noah’s hatred towards Kahmad is absolutely delusional 🥴‼️He owes both Jaida & Kahmad apologies! Thereafter, I want to adore Noah’s character but in this fictious HMR universe I don’t even appreciate him 🤷🏾‍♀️. Noah please seek extensive therapy and heal❗…because the complexities of Noah are exhausting ‼️

Lots to say...

I enjoyed Noah's story, but I really wanted to see how things ended up with his mom, the pastor and those grandparents. Whew chile...all that crying wore me out. I was glad that Raqui and Noah were able to feel and show emotion after being so scarred, but it was overkill as well as the story line w him and Sonya. I admired their friendship, but to me it crossed boundaries being they were bith in relationships. Hats off to Hah and Shawn bc they wouldn't have been doing the most around me. I loved the humor, the spirituality, and Noah's gift of discernment; his ability to forgive. Jah was truly a strong woman of God and her strength was exuded. RJ was one of my favs...loved his humor. I felt bad for Colin and felt like some of those doors opened, then left us hanging. Wasnt crazy about the endings in this series. Overall, I enjoyed the book...it was long, yet reading is my therapy. Excited to read about RJ next.

WOW

Noah's story was so in depth that you can't help but to feel every emotion when reading. After reading The Devil Goes To Church Too and getting Raqui story I knew I had to read how Noah grew up. Although it took 30 years for the truth to be revealed, I was happy that Noah found out who his father was. Grandma Hazel was definitely a piece of work when it came to raising Noah to where he was internally battling those scars. With all that he endured he still turned out to be a well rounded, successful young man who still loved his family despite all they've done. Jah was the perfect woman for him because she kept him grounded and they were spiritually in tune with each other's feelings. They were definitely a match made in heaven as a couple and in business. Overall great read.

Simply Amazing

I don't know where to begin! The emotions from this book were everywhere! This book made me gain so much more respect for Raquel, Ryan, and Noah! I lost more respect for Noah's grandparent's. The grandmother because of the way she treated Raquel and Noah and grandfather because he never put her in her place! Noah and Jaida's soul connection through God was so amazing although it made him hurt Sonya. Their love was extremely beautiful and everyone could tell they loved each other. They were both very selfless people and open with their emotions. Noah went through a lot, but he didn't let it cause him to destruct. Absolutely amazing book! Can't wait to read about Ryan Jr.

It's Hard To Overcome Childhood Trauma!

Monica. This read right here. As much as I love Noah and have empathy for him he still has some more to overcome. I get why he feels that he's not worthy his upbringing has so much to do with the man he has grown up to be. Jah is such a special soul and she loves Noah unconditionally.
I just think their love will be tested more than either one realizes. Quel, is finally able to have peace after so much turmoil. Im gonna need Jah to address this situation and give Noah the same respect he has learned to give her.

Made my head hurt.

Noah frustrated me to no ends. I was really in a love hate relationship with this character.

Wish I had read the T.key POV side by side rather than straight through.

However,

In the end I will say while he tended to come off as really selfish. He loved Jah but it often came across one sided because he obsessed over his ex the entire book.

And the crazy thing was that he pursued Sonya for 10 years. And it wasn't until he made a connection with Jaida, suddenly, Sonya is ready for love and can't let go FOH!

He didn't deserve Jaida. She However could and should have straightened or handle Kamahd better.

this book is a bit stressful

I see that people love it, but I had to push thru, by the end I was skimming pages.
Noah can be annoying at times and hard headed. He needs counseling, badly. As a writer I’m surprised he doesn’t journal and has strong inability to see himself and how he affects people. At some points I wanted to say, ethical nonmonogamy is a thing and at some point maybe that would fix his issues, idk.

I’m only reading this before I go back to reading the Hendersons series. I’m not sure if I want to read any more, but I need to know who Taz is so I guess I gotta keep reading to find out

I been on a Monica Walters BINGE since starting the Henderson series several weeks ago....And all I can say is that I have LOVED them ALL!!! I'm not one who usually give reviews that often but I can HONESTLY say that I have NOT read anything less than a 4 or 5 star read from this author, I had previously given this book 4 stars but decided to change it and write a review instead. Although this book was really LONG I welcomed the read non-the-less. I just didn't like Jah..... NOT AT ALL!! It wasn't that I wanted him with Sonya because I wanted him to have a chance at a family and I knew he couldn't have that with her but I LOVED her and Noah's friendship.... Jah was just NOT the one for Noah....I tried reading The Flow of Jah to see if I would like her since this would be from her point of view, still no dice....So if you haven't read this series PLEASE do yourself a favor and pick this up today....

This book was absolutely amazing. The character building was beyond Phenomenal!!!. Since I read the sweet series this was a good insight to see that Sonya and Shawn finally got to live out love. I enjoyed the other characters from the sweet series that are included. Noah and Jiada are the most amazing story of struggle unconditional love and soulmates. Great job y'all killed it!!!

What talented authors 🤩🤩

This book is so good. With all Noah's success he still haunted. And that's really sad because he is blessed in so many other areas of his life. Noah is with the love of his life Jaida. Devoted family and friends he has but, it's that one thing. This book is definitely a must-read if you enjoy a long good book this is it. What a great job by these two authors.

The book had my blood pressure going up and down!

I loved everything about Noah, RJ and Sonja, I just couldn’t stand Jaida. I am Team Sonja without a doubt. Noah had a lot to deal with mentally, emotionally and spiritually before he could deal with anyone but I will say he had the best of both worlds between Sonja and Jaida. I just loved how Sonja understood him the most. Now onto RJ’s book.

Grit meets Reality

Loved the boy turn into a man and overcome his life trials and tribulations. Watching Noah find his soulmate and learn the meaning of true love and rock wit ya love. This was a very good story about the love, forgiveness and mercy that God has for His children no matter who they are or the circumstances surrounding their existence. The familial ties versus drama ties to mold and design one's purpose in life is profound and evident also.

Emotional!!!!

Noah, Noah, Noah...I cried and laughed so much reading this book. Oh I just love Noah. To see a young black man go through so much and still keep pushing to live a positive life is so admirable. The love he had in his heart for his family and friends gave me life. I’m so glad he was able to gain everything he deserved.

Extraordinary read!

Multi themed book, that was hard to put down. Realistic, romance, sensual, loving, faith, betrayal, musical, poetry all wrapped into one book. This second in the series surpassed the first. Wonderful characters the matured and developed. Tear-jerker, moral builder, inspiring and steamy as loving. Cannot wait to read other books from Monica.

This has to be the most emotional male character (and family) I have ever read!!! I didn't like Noah at times because I don't think he established the right boundaries in his relationships/friendships. Glad it worked out for them in the end but I can see the lack of boundaries being a problem in their marriage later down the line ..with Sonya AND Kahmad.

Sensitive Noah

Very good book. I must admit though, I don’t as getting sick of this back and forth with Noah and Sonya. It really began to drain me. I guess I feel that way because I don’t believe you can love 2 people at the same time. I loved the connection with JJ. I’m excited for book 3. I believe RJ got some drama for us!

This book was a good look into who Noah is and everything he's holding on to. I loved that he was able to open up a little bit about his past. This is one family that cries alot lol but they have alot to deal with. I can't wait to see what happens with Rj and Jazzy I'm rooting for them. This was a good read!!

The Book of Noah

Glad to see Noah grow up and fall in love. Jah is the woman for him from the moment she saw him on stage. Their love faced some hard moments that often Noah crying and vulnerable but they made it through along with family and friends to become stronger and long lasting.

Noah's World

OMG!!! Noah and Jaida i love their story and the entire family. Noah still have issues and insecurities because of his Grandmother that all need to be worked out and addressed. I believe something happened to the Grandmother and that's why she acted like she did to Raqui and Noah.
