A little too easy

A strong female character is plus, but her ability to easily read people and see things others cannot, including experienced police officers, was just a tad too pat. I did like Nikki and Hawk, and the mysteries were pretty good, it was just the complexity behind the mysteries meant it should have taken a little more deductive effort. Especially when everything always had to be clearly laid out for Hawk. And honestly, the way she always wanted to adopt everyone was weird.

The stories were short and interesting, and the romance minimal, filled with a few really caring folks, so for anyone who likes clean, feel good, happy endings all around, you should enjoy this.

proof reading definitely needed

Ok, the first book was ok, extremely short, simplistic in telling, but with good humour and clean. Not proof read well. The 2nd book started out the same, but I read a totally opposite scenario, where the car park was full of vehicles then a page later had only one visitor car in it. That’s it for me.

I really enjoyed these stories, even though the last one was somewhat racist and I wish I hadn't read it because the other three were pretty great. Good characters, decent writing, and a lovely setting.

Nikki of Maple Hills

The crimes were very good, the criminals somewhat unique. Nikki’s intuition was a bit too much. Too many quick judgement calls. I certainly hope no investor or detective would be so quick to assume guilt.

Captivating Read

Each story kept you guessing who the killer was. Well written and very entertaining. Looking forward to more of these mysteries.

Love this series! Fast paced and keeps you hopping. Each book is a quick read but packed full of excitement, romance and intrigue. Try and see if you can keep up and figure it out before Nikki does!

Fun books

These books were fun, quick reads with just a touch of humor, and a little bit of roll romance. There was no inappropriate language or sex.

I would still live there!

The characters were funny and their actions were real. Sometimes things that just happen to people. It’s just hard to be that person.

If Amazon should make 3 mean okay instead of bad, would give this a 3 instead of a 4, it had interesting parts, but was only okay through the set of 4.
