I found myself on the edge of my seat as this gripping read kept me guessing. This is a romance that has been cleverly crafted and offers plenty of mystery, drama, danger and intense emotions to keep you engaged. It was very easy to like and root for this couple. Cullen and Monica's characters are complex and share great chemistry. the emotional turmoil in this read runs heavy and deep as Monica struggles to decipher fact from fiction and Cullen struggles between duty and affection. Such a great read! This is my independent, Impartial review.

What Cullen Cade thought was going to be an easy case just turned into something bigger than he ever expected. The woman he is supposed to find and bring in has no memory and someone is trying to kill her. What has he stumbled into? Twists, turns and betrayal will keep the reader turning the pages. I love this series by Rhonda Lee Carver and am always waiting for the next one. Great story!

Sally Holloway is down on her luck. While living on the streets hiding from her ex, she accidentally bumps into a woman. Sally thinks it’s odd that the wealthy looking woman is in a bad neighborhood, but is more concerned that she spilled coffee all over her and caused her to drop her purse. In a hurry to get away from Sally, she leaves her wallet on the sidewalk. Feeling guilty, Sally finds an ID and goes in search of the address to return the wallet. Once there, she’s mistaken for someone else and is almost murdered.
Cullen Cade, a bounty hunter, has an amazing track record for capturing fugitives. When he’s offered $100,000 to bring in Monica Warren, he can’t refuse as the money will bring him closer to building his dream home. After arriving at Monica’s apartment, a fire breaks out and he rescues her battered body just before she’s burned to death, then shot at. Cullen stays with her at the hospital in hopes of turning her in after discharge, but finds she can’t remember anything. With everything up in the air and all the facts not adding up, Cullen offers to let “Monica” stay at the ranch where he and his family can protect her.
Although this novel can be read as a stand-alone, I want to go back and read about the other brothers. I also can’t wait to read Kierstin’s story! I’ve only read one other novel in this series and it was also really good. While I did think the middle was a little slow, I loved the suspense! I enjoyed “Monica’s” journey in finding herself. The not knowing and brief glimpses of your life has to be extremely frustrating. There were two different stories brilliantly woven together. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

Cullen 'Cull' Cade thinks this assignment from his friend Deke would be simple. Find the possible witness and turn her over to Deke for questioning. It wasn't too difficult to find the woman's apartment and stake it out. What he didn't expect was for it to go up in flames, right after he sees her go in.

This is a gripping, suspenseful and dramatic love story. Cull is honest, intense, protective and responsible. Sally is strong, shy, vulnerable, and sweet. Cull is hired to track down and bring in a woman named Monica, and after he gets an address he stakes it out. Meanwhile, Sally literally runs into someone and finds a purse on the ground after the woman stalks off and decides to bring it to the woman. Cull sees her go into the building and starts to follow when he realizes that the building is on fire. He searches the apartment, finds her unconscious in the bedroom. When she wakes up, she has no idea who she is, Cull only tells her that her name is Monica, but is not comfortable turning her in, so he brings her home. The attraction between them confuses Cull, he has to fight it, but doesn't really want to. Because he doesn't believe that she's a killer. The twists and the sexual tension are just two things that make this story brilliant. It's a thrilling addition to the series.

Mmmmm….nothing like getting to know another Cade!! In Sheltered by the Lawman we meet Cull Cade, on of those very handsome lawman from the Cade family. Cade is off on his new mission, this mission comes in by a friend and he is looking for this woman who is of course involved in some bad buisness. This should be a simple mission, and its no surprise when Cull finds the woman in a hot situation and saves her. When he saves her he finds there is a problem….she doesn’t remember anything. So like every good gentleman, he gives her a place to stay until she can remember what is going on.
Monica wakes up not knowing why she’s in the hospital and who that hottie is across the room. He seems nice and is willing to help her out. Monica goes out to the farm to stay wishing her memory would tell her what is happening and how she got there. While some things start coming to light, she finds herself falling for the lawman.
This is another wonderful addition to the family of Cades, and the story brings you suspense and you can’t put it down!!

Cowboys and lawmen are great reads in the romance world. But put the two together? Sign me up! Such is the premise for Rhonda Lee Carver's latest, Sheltered by the Lawman, part of her Lawmen of Wyoming series. The book is chock full of action partnered with sexual tension, forbidden romance, and a few big mysteries to solve.
The story flows well and kept my interest throughout. The characters are interesting with a revisit to the Cade family of lawmen, characters in the previous books. Sally's amnesia is a great plot device that adds to the story by keeping our hero guessing as to who she is and what her part in the whole murder plot is. I rooted for the romance and the mystery. Yea!
My only concern is that the book seems to end abruptly. Normally, I'm accustomed to seeing an epilogue or strong conclusion to wrap up the HEA. But in Sheltered by the Lawman I don't see that. There's a reveal of sorts, but then it just stops. Is there more? Perhaps a sequel? Yes, please!
It's a good story, enjoyable, and worth your time.

When Cull was hired to track down Monica because she was believed to have killed her lover he had no idea he would end up saving her instead. Monica has no idea who she is after being knocked out and left to die. But as Cull gets to know her he doesn't think she's capable of doing what she's accused of. As her memory starts to come back she isn't sure what's real and what's fabricated. I love Cull, it's always the big, tough, stubborn ones that fall the best. As much as he denied it, he can't help but get feelings for her but then someone from her past comes back and he has no choice but to let her go. Then a conversation with his brother leads him to realize you never let a woman walk away when you have feelings for her. When he goes to find her he stumbled upon the whole truth about the killer and things get pretty dicey. It's a good thing he's good at his job.

I absolutely love this series!!
I loved the chemistry between Cullen and Monica. I loved the protectiveness that Cull felt for Monica even before he was willing to admit it to himself. Another aspect of Cull that I really liked was he is definitely a man who takes control of a situation, but he was willing to sit back and just be a caregiver to Monica. He understood her need for some time to try and remember. He was patient and kind to her when she needed it.
I also loved the whole family in this book. I loved how they came together for this complete stranger and let her into their home. They didn't treat her as an outsider. They understood early on that there were feeling involved but let the two of them for the most part work it out on their own.
The suspense was amazing and kept me on the edge of my seat.

I think this is my favorite book in the Lawmen of Wyoming series. I have loved reading about the entire Cade family.
What starts out as an easy case, or so Cullen Cade thinks, ends up being an earth shattering moment in his life. Sally aka Monica turns out to be the ONE!! But it’s not as simple as that. She’s a major suspect in a murder investigation but has amnesia. As Cull protects her, she also falls in love with him.
This book is filled with action, romance, angst, betrayal, murder, and of course very sexy scenes. It leads to them getting their HEA. I honestly could not stop reading this book once I started, which was last night and I didn’t sleep until I was done. So amazing, I absolutely loved it.

I'm still not even quite sure HOW Rhonda Lee Carver does it, but every time, she manages to come up with an interesting and unique story line that totally grabs me, pulls me in, and doesn't let me up for air until the very end. And honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way.
Cullen and Monica's story is full of romance, heat, suspense, mystery, and twists that will immediately captivate you.
Sheltered by the Lawman was a fantastic addition to the series, one that you will not be disappointed to read. Even though it can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend picking up the 4 books before it to binge read as well. She definitely has a fan for life!

Once again Rhonda Lee Carver has outdone herself with Sheltered by the Lawman! Packed full of action, friendship, love, and forgiveness this book has a little something for everyone. Cull is always following the law and doing whats right. What happens when he falls in love. Sally is hiding and living on the streets, when she is in the wrong place at the wrong time her life changes. What will happen with Cull and Sally. Such a phenomenal book with amazing characters and a wonderfull plot.

This is a real nail biter romance. Cullen Cade is a all about his work until he takes a job to find Monica Warren. He ends up saving a girl Sally, whom he thinks is Monica. A case of amnesia, a growing need to protect her, and his overall good-natured heart lead them both on a path of discovering who each other are. You won't want to put it down, a beautifully written 5 star read with a little steam!

I have enjoyed this series about this family of lawmen. Cade a bounty hunter is looking for a woman name Monica Warren worth a $100.000 bounty reward. Sally Holloway is hiding from her abusive boyfriend but something happens Sally awake in the hospital with a handsome cowboy sleeping in a chair and she has amnesia thinking her name is Monica. There are several twist and turns, attempted murder,arson, murder, kidnapping, betrayal, and final HEA.

Didn't like it. Felt it was a recycled version of all the romance novels. There wasn't anything new. The hero and heroine's characters weren't fleshed out well. From the starting both are attracted to each other. Maybe its my fault that I started reading the book with different set of expectations and so I am feeling disappointed.

I loved this book. It is well written. Rhonda Lee Carver has become one of my go to authors. I know when I get a book with her name on it will be a great story. This one is book 5 in this series and I have loved them all. I encourage you to get this series and especially this book. I truly believe you will enjoy this book.

"Sheltered by the Lawman" (Lawmen of Wyoming Book 5) by Rhonda Lee Carver is a great read. I enjoyed Cull and Sally's story. This book is a great addition to this series, packed with action, suspense, romance, passion, lawmen, close family, and more. Highly recommend to all fan or romance, lawmen, family, and series.

Another great read in this series. Full of action and suspense at who was behind the killing but it keep my interest until the end. This was about how Cull helped Sally deal with her memory loss and find out who was behind the murders. A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start.

Rhonda Lee Carver has done it again...written a story that is sweet, hot, exciting, and suspenseful all in one! I have loved this entire series, and this book is no different.
Ms. Carver brings so much depth to her story lines and characters. She drew me right in, so I felt like I experienced life right along with Monica and Cullen. I highly recommend this book and the entire series.

A great thriller loaded with action, suspense and even romance. A woman in hiding happens to be in the wrong place and mistaken for a person he was hired to kill. She suffers from memory loss after being attacked and almost killed. An intense drama with many interesting surprises makes for a very interesting adventure.

Great book! A case of amnesia, mistaken identity and murder bring Cullen Cade and "Monica" together. Not knowing who to trust or what to believe, they must trust their instincts to survive! Loved "Monica" and Cull's story - great plot with the right amount of mystery and romance!

Romantic suspense. The suspense parts of this were really good, had me sitting on the edge of my seat at times. The romance parts were just okay for me. The storyline was good and the characters were well defined and mostly likeable. Overall I enjoyed it.

Falling for the one!
Sheltered by the Lawman: WOW! Another excellent story in the series. Cull was the brother they didn't realized he need a female in his life before Sally came in to his life. It was a very emotional story of trust and romance.
