Omega looking for alpha for... unusual request. Must be physically impressive. Please inquire for further details.
Christian Kelley is down on his luck--big time. After moving to Las Vegas in the hopes of becoming an entertainer, he's been met with nothing but rejection, so when a friend suggests he sign up with Rent-a-Dom as a service provider, he's eager to give it a shot. While more naturally submissive than dominant, Christian is sure he can pull off the act well enough... at least, until the founder of Rent-a-Dom himself contacts him with an unusual proposal, and his world turns upside down.
Monty Mills, the mysterious founder of Rent-a-Dom, has a problem he can't fix. With Rent-a-Dom's fifth year anniversary on the horizon, he sees potential for exposure like never before. The problem? He'll risk Rent-a-Dom's credibility if he shows his face in public. What he needs is a beard--someone who can make the world think he's someone he's not.
Someone like Christian Kelley.
Sparks fly when Monty and Christian meet, but with Monty's business riding on their success, and Christian's future hinged on this performance, love isn't on the agenda. Is it?
This final installment in the Rent-a-Dom series contains mpreg, D/s elements, and is intended for 18+ readers. Warning: Don't read unless you like fun books with mysterious and powerful omega Doms, bubble bath disasters, rugged alphas with secret piercings who long to submit, and scenes that'll make Vegas temperatures cool in comparison. But then again, this is a Susi Hawke and Piper Scott collaboration--you already knew to expect that, didn't you?
I'm a total fan of M/PREG Paranormal Romances, first and foremost as a reader. I'm excited to share my own omegaverse(s) with you. What's not to love about adorable Omegas and the Alpha men who love them? If I'm not writing about men sporting baby bumps, I'm definitely reading about them!
I'm a native of Las Vegas, NV, so I'm pre-wired to love everything weird ~ although I don't find any kind of love to be weird. I'm a cis woman who's been happily married to the same lovable lug for 18 years. We have a 16yr old son, well, at least I think we do? Either that, or we have a ghost that eats all our food and uses up all wifi playing xbox while screaming into a headset.
As a new author, it's been amazing to find the amount of support that I've been given from readers and my fellow authors. Feel free to message me, I love to chat with fellow readers. Am I a reader? Heck yeah! In fact, I'm never certain that I can completely trust an author who isn't a fellow bibliophile.
I will try to update here when I'm doing promotional parties & chats. I usually do those on Facebook. If you haven't already signed up for my newsletter, you should totally do it! I only send out NL's to announce new releases or important announcements. I also like to note in my NL what I'm currently reading along with a cover shot and the link for anyone who is interested.
The fourth in Susi Hawke’s Rent-a-Dom books, Beard Wanted is a wonderful end to this series. Monty gets his man and what a perfect combination these two make! As with the other books in this series, Nick J. Russo finds what makes each character unique and delivers a smooth, sexy, and charming performance.
I think my favorite part of a Susi Hawke romance is the unique relationships she creates. In Beard Wanted we get Christian, a submissive Alpha (who just needs a little encouragement to switch it up), and the dommy omega Monty. Monty’s charisma has been present throughout the series and I was wondering how Ms. Hawke was going to give him his perfect mate… well let’s just say I’m very happy right now *wink*.
This has been a fantastic series made even better with Nick J. Russo’s wonderful performance. Definitely enjoy this one in audio!
an audiobook copy of Beard Wanted was provided to me for the purpose of my review
I think they might have just saved the best characters for last. I loved this book. Same as the characters for each of these books, Monty and Christian don’t have a “regular” relationship. They meet through Monty’s Rent-A-Dom business when Monty needs someone to act as him for the company party. That’s where Christian gets roped into the scheme and it’s all down (or up) hill from there. I loved the connection and relationship the two men formed. It was a little odd at times with Christian “playing” Monty and their roles Dominant/Submissive Alpha/Omega being reversed at times. But it all played out well and the two had some hot and totally sweet chemistry together. Christian had me Smitten from the first page we met him, I completely adored his character. I thought it was a great ending to a fun and interesting series.
This was the fourth and final book in the " Rent-a-Dom " series. Monty Mills started rent a Dom along with his twin brother Robin when Robin left to take care of their mother he ran the business by himself with the fifth anniversary coming up he doesn't think anyone will take him serious because he is an omega so he hires a beard. Christian Kelley is a down on is luck out of work actor with no money and no job his friend Kayla tells him about rent a Dom. When Monty sees his picture he knows that he is the one that he is looking for so he hires him to be him. I really liked this book and this series both Monty and Christian are attracted to each other and Monty tries to fight it. When these two have sex it is hot and at first Monty doesn't tell him that he is a Dom and Monty can see that Christian has sub tendencies. When Monty finds out that he is pregnant he freaks out and tells Christian to leave with the help of his brother Robin he calms down. This was a good read that I wanted more of. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling.
This is the last book of the series, and we got Monty, the brain of Rent A Dom company. I was curious about Monty for a long time, and glad that this one was actually the sweetest of the series. I liked Christian from the beginning, and Monty...is Monty :) I think it's about time the series ended here, with Monty finally got his HEA and someone who really care for him and never be afraid of 'dominating' him. That was sweet. Monty and Christian are entertaining, especially at the ending. We're also 'see' the glimpse of Toby and his 'Daddy' also Robin, Monty's twin brother. Nice ending for this series. I liked this one more that the previous books :) I hope that tells something.
This is the fourth and final book of the series. While it could stand alone, I’d recommend reading book 2 first.
It’s a little different than the others, but I don’t want to say too much without spoiling it.
Monty, the reclusive owner of Rent a Dom, who we met in book 2, finds love unexpectedly with an employee he’s training to be his public face at a party he’s planning.
This was fun, like the rest of the series. Though short, there’s a good balance between sexy times and relationship building time.
Though only mentioned briefly, it was nice to see the previous couples/triad are still going strong.
My only criticism is that Christian’s friend Kayla, who pushed him towards Rent A Dom was sort of a throwaway character. She served no real purpose and seemed more annoying then friendly.
Perception and reality are rarely ever the same. In the case of Monty, he's convinced that there's nothing that will ruin his company's image than for his to be seen. As a twink-like 24 year old it's unlikely that anyone will think him the powerful Dom and CEO of his own company. For an anniversary party he's determined to hire a beard to project the image everyone is expecting except it very quickly becomes more than just a contract. Christian is wedging his way under Monty's prickly and controlled disposition and they quickly surrender to one another's magnetism. But a lapse on Monty's part twice over produces some unintended consequences. If he doesn't decide quickly what's truly important he might lose out on love.
The beginning was a good introduction to who Monty and Christian are at the current moment but very quickly we get into a confusing mess of emotion with no known foundation, mainly from Monty. After that the interactions become awkward in a confusing way, as if we're missing something. It feels like we should know something about why Monty acts the way he does but we don't actually ever get a concrete reason. There's no event or betrayal that justifies Monty's reactions enough to believe all the angst he imposes on his life and relationships.
Christian's positivity, lightness, and desire are excellent counterpoints to Monty's pessimism, workaholic tendencies, and emotional restraint. His natural submission seems at odds with what Monty is requesting of him so we get to see him fluctuate between the two. I never feel a sense of him settling on one or the other and it kind of rubs off on Monty as well. It's like their innate desires and natural states become less important as the story progresses and I'm not sure if that's intentional or even a good thing.
I did feel that Monty's anniversary party speech was a bit too sappy, like it was trying too hard to be profound, but shortly after the start of the book Monty's manner of speaking seemed to change rather quickly to reflect that same thing, too poetic, too aloof, just trying too hard. Overall the story had a great premise and some serious steam as well as a lot of tender feels. The anniversary party took a much better, healthier turn for Monty and I was glad for that. When their "oops" moment became something to bond over rather than a wedge to drive them apart it was the time they had before that to get to know one another and to give in to their feelings instead of just their lust that made for a much more believable and lasting connection.
“Omegaverse Boss/ Employee and impersonation theme MM MPREG Romance”
*I received an ARC of this book and reviewed it voluntarily*
This is the fourth book in the Rent-a-Dom series but this is the first book I’ve read in this series as it isn’t my typical read but I was wooed by the pretty cover. In a nutshell, this story is about the MC hiring someone to assume their identity for the sake of the right look for their company. It was an interesting story and one I haven’t really encountered before- so points for originality. That being said, I felt like the buildup, while important to the story line, was slow going and needed a bit more pizzazz.
This book follows Monty and Christian through a mix of “Boss/Employee” / “Impersonation” type situations as they work toward mutual goals that may include a bunch of mutual gratification for the sake of practice. Keep telling yourself that Monty. The creative piercings were fun and it is always fun to learn new and kinky ways to incorporate them into the sexy times.
What bothered me the most were small petty things. The book has light D/s themes and I couldn’t get past the guy being named Christian – I’m having 50 shades of Grey flashbacks- I told you it was petty. I also wanted their relationship to evolve in a smoother way from boss/employee to romantic but that might just be the nature of a D/s relationship which I am inexperienced in. I also thought the friend Kayla was super annoying. Like a bug that just wouldn’t go away.
Overall, It was a quick read and it was well written with little to no typos or spelling errors. It wasn’t my personal style but someone who enjoys a read with a kinky side will likely enjoy this one.
I'm sad that this is the last of the series (although, maybe we'll get some 'follow-up' books or scenes sometime... one can hope). As with the others in the series, this book was well written and very enjoyable to read. Low angst, and plenty of sexy times.

*** KU read MC... Monty (Omega owner of RaD) Christian... (Alpha actor hired as beard for Monty)
I was initially excited to meet Monty, the face behind the Rent-a-Dom business, but to be honest, I was a bit disappointed.
Not for the reasons that Monty made up himself - the reason he doesn't want to show his face at all, to the point of hiring someone else to pretend to be him for the upcoming Rent-a-Dom anniversary party. He doesn't want anyone to know he's an omega, believing that to undermine his and his businesses success, nevermind how ridiculous that sounds even in the scope of the (spare) worldbuilding that the other books established. There really wasn't much if any "omega oppression" or whatver you want to call it, certainly not in the other books where all omega characters are in pretty strong positions that often even top the ones their alpha partners have.
I was more disappointed with how little of Rent-a-Dom we actually got to see - this was already a compaint I had with the rest of the series. I liked the concept of it, but it wasn't ever treated as more than a setup for the characters to meet, and then almost immediately forgotten about. And unfortunately, here it was the exact same. As soon as the first spark of attraction appeared, the plot was pretty much forgotten, until it appeared again at the end. I realize this is a romance, but I still wish the surrounding plot circumstances had not been so quickly forgotten. Even details about the characters, like Christian wanting to be an entertainer, where mentioned once and then never ever acknowledged.
I also got a bit tired of the surprise pregnancy plotline in each and every book of the series. In this case, it didn't even fit the characters.
Not a bad book or bad romance, and the ending was quite satisfyining, but it didn't feel earned.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I started reading Beard Wanted—which can totally be read as a standalone, although I think the series might be best if read in order—Monty was a bit enigmatic and I wasn't certain what to make of him. It actually took me a few chapters to warm up to him and start liking him, but once I did it wasn't long until I fell in love with him. He was a rare type of Omega, a dominant one and yet, it was nice to see that he was willing to give into Christian every once in a while. Christian, on the other hand, was the perfect book boyfriend. Protective, supportive and willing to do anything and everything for the man he loved. Do you think we could clone him? LOL
The sexy times were passionate and intense, and while there were some D/s elements, it wasn't excessive or offputting, au contraire, I was left fanning myself after some of the scenes. Monty and Christian were scorching hot together!
All in all, this was a fantastic read! Hot, sexy, angsty and did I mention, hot? Ms. Hawke and Ms. Scott are an amazing writing team and I can't get enough of their books, and Beard Wanted is not the exception. Highly recommendable!
*** Copy provided to the reviewer by LesCourt Services for my reading pleasure, a review wasn't a requirement. ***
To my ratings (thanks to amazon I had to change it again and 'upgrade' it a little bit)
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow- Away-book like 'Liberty' from Seth King, 'Save the kids' series from EM Leya or 'Jesse's Smile' from Angelique Jurd), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it's more then a one-time-reader, but not really an often (3-4 times a year) reread book
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok) It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolute NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
Beard Wanted is the fourth and final book in the Rent-A-Dom series by Susi Hawke and Piper Scott. It is just as tantalizing and amazing as the previous books.
Omega and founder of Rent-A-Dom. Monty is in need of a strong and able Alpha to pose as him at an upcoming public event celebrating his company's fifth anniversary. Everyone expects a powerful Alpha to be at the head of such success and Monty plans to keep that farse up. When he sees an application filled out by aspiring actor Christian, he believes he has the perfect plan. And that is the beginning of his world tilting off its axis.
Christian and Monty are so flipping sexy together. The heat in this book may melt your kindle. It also has humor, sweet times between two beautiful men, a surprise pregnancy that flips the world for the characters and is the perfect closing to the wonderful series. I hate to say goodbye but can truly say this was a fantastic ride.
I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.
Beard Wanted is the fourth book in the Rent A Dom series by Susi Hawke and Piper Scott.
This time we get to read about Monty, the owner of Rent A Dom, as he himself needs to hire a Dom. When Monty hires Christian, he never expects to mix business with pleasure, let alone fall for the man.
A major theme in this story is confidence. One can't really fake confidence. And sometimes it takes love to finally find your confidence.
Monty's spent his life keeping others at a distance. He struggles to drop his walls and let his heart feel anything again.
Monty and Christian's story involves a whole lot of sexual tension, seduction, and a irrepressible need. They have to deal with denial, submission, and restarting Monty's dead heart, which will require a whole lot of strength.
Don't miss out on Beard Wanted if you enjoy hot stories, as this one has sparks and passion in spades! The writers treat us to the couple's insatiable need for one another, as well as their strong emotional attachment. It also has a lot of hot piercings, and a large, tough bottom.
The last in the series and one I've really enjoyed by these authors. This was the turn of Monty who's been lurking in the side lines of previous books, the man who runs rent a Dom with his brother and the basis of what this series is all about. Monty is more behind the limelight but he's needs a public figurehead, a beard and this is where Christian comes into the picture. Being offered money to pose as the head of rent a Dom he accepts without any qualms but things soon turn heated. This was a nice ending to this series, and I loved Monty an omega being the Dom and Christian an alpha the submissive. Trying to train him to be more monty was such a good story and the ending was absolute brilliant. A sweet story and loved previous characters from the series coming back and a nice happy ending. I was really looking forward to the tale of monty and was surprised that I loved Christian just as much. A really good series that puts a smile on my face. I received this book by the authors and this is my honest opinion.
Steamy, fun, interesting and engaging story. I have been waiting for Monty's story and this one did not disappoint. I like the subtle and complex personality that Monty's character brings to this series. His drive, his loneliness, trust issues and dominate personality were all wonderful elements to his character. Christian was a delightful, kind and gentle character that had lots of depth and i loved his straightforward desire to make Monty happy.
Christian and Monty have lots to learn about each other and you will enjoy each encounter. I really loved the bubble bath scene and the party was awesome. So many feel good moments in this interesting read.
I would consider this a stand-alone read, however to increase your enjoyment i would recommend your reading Master Wanted, the second book of the series where you will meet Monty and his brother.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 Beard Wanted is the perfect grand finale, packed with intrigue, secrets, and a sizzling fake relationship trope that stole my heart. Christian, the struggling entertainer turned faux Dom, and Monty, the enigmatic founder of Rent-a-Dom, have a chemistry that simmers right from their first encounter. Monty’s need for a “beard” to protect his identity adds an intriguing layer of tension, while Christian’s desire to make something of himself adds emotional stakes that had me rooting for him. Their dynamic is laced with playful banter, hidden vulnerability, and undeniable attraction that had me flipping pages like crazy. Watching Monty learn to let someone in—and Christian realize he’s stronger than he thinks—was beyond rewarding. The surprise piercings and bubble bath scenes were just the icing on the cake.
I enjoyed this much more than I thought I would, I don’t know something about the blurb put me off the book originally but I figured I would give the audio a shot since I have read all the other books and I love Nick Russo’s narration.
Christian and Monty are very similar in relationship to that of Conquest Wanted and the situation they end up in but these two were prefect for each other it just took them a bit to figure it out and accept it.
Once again Mr. Russo’s narration was wonderful and greatly helped me connect and understand the characters.
I received a copy of this book and am giving an honest review.
3 stars for the story/4 stars for the audio version:
Review of the audiobook: This book was well written, with great sexy scenes as well as humor and some angst. I had a really difficult time with omega dom Monty, though, and I kept wondering why Christian was falling so hard for him. I eventually warmed up to Monty, but that didn't happen until he found out he was pregnant. At that point, his outlook changed, which made my opinion of him change as well. The narrator, who is one of my favorites, gave a fantastic performance. This series is not my favorite from these authors, but the books are entertaining. Anyone who has enjoyed this series will no doubt appreciate this addition.
I’m so sad to see this series end because every book has just got better and better. It was great to finally meet Monty, the owner of Rent a Dom. I really loved Christian, for an alpha he was such a sweet sensitive guy. I’m so glad that Monty came to his senses and gave in to his feelings for Christian. It was fab to see little snippets from our other favourite characters. If you love easy to read smoking hot Mpreg stories these are the books for you. I’m really going to miss these sexy Rent a Doms.
I really liked this book. I love how great Christian is and how much he wants to succeed for Monty. He is so loving and sweet. Monty doesn't think he can be a successful public figure for his company. He doesn't think the people want to see an Omega running his company. Christian will do nicely as his cover. Just business.
When feelings get entangled will Monty be able to sick with the plan? Will Christian be able to pull off the job that Monty asked for or will it blowup in their faces?
I received an ARC of this from LesCourt Author Services. This is my honest opinion and review.
Another fantastic book in the Rent-A-Dom series! I really enjoyed Monty’s story after seeing bits of him throughout the series. Monty, the owner of Rent-A-Dom, has been faceless in the running of his successful company. He’s kept his identity carefully hidden because he doesn’t think anyone would take a Dominant Omega seriously in this line of work. He decides to hire a Beard, Christian, to portray him. I loved the build up and chemistry between Monty and Christian - it was super hot.
This is a great book to round off a great series. Monty, the Rent a Dom founder is about to celebrate 5 years in business and wants to throw a party. Only problem is that he is afraid that if people find out that he is, in fact, an Omega, they will stop taking him and his company seriously. He deicdes that the perfect solution is to hire an Alpha to pretend to be him. What he is not counting on is falling in love. It turns out that Christian is his perfect match. Just as you would expect from these authors this book strikes a great balance between sweet and steamy.
This is the fourth book in The Rent-A-Dom Series. An enjoyable book the writing was good. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters likeable. The characters were developed and thought out. Christian Kelley and Monty Mills are the MC’s of this book. There was humor, golden chains, chocolate cake, a business, friends and family, piercings, a phone accident and more in this book. I can recommend this book as a good read. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.
Nick J. Russo did an outstanding job with the narration, as always. He captured Monte and Christian's essence and brought it forth in his narration. Of course, it doesn't hurt listening to the hotness that was Monte and Christian together in his sexy tenor. ;)
All in all, this was a fantastic audiobook! Hot, sexy, angsty and did I mention, hot? Ms. Hawke and Ms. Scott are an amazing writing team and I can't get enough of their books, and Beard Wanted is not the exception. Highly recommendable!
If you like books that are different, traditional role reversals, and Dommy, take charge Omegas, then this book is for you. Monty and Christian both are atypical of their Alpha and Omega statuses, and together they explore a relationship that was definitely unexpected. I just love Christian’s tender, soft heart, and eagerness to please. It’s a fun and interesting read, and the perfect way to end the series.
