Envy, Lies And Pastor's Wives
(STANDALONE NOVEL) Anton Bridges is the handsome pastor of San Diego’s famed Temple of the Harvest. His beloved wife Theresa dies suddenly and the grief-stricken church is now faced with an even bigger problem. They now have a successful and single pastor of a growing congregation. Several women in his membership compete to become the next first lady, including Brynn Pierson the spoiled daughter of J.T. Pierson one of the most famous spiritual leaders in America.
However, Anton falls in love with the humble yet enchanting Erin, a musician whom he hires to play for Sunday services. The two fall in love but Brynn will do anything in her power to keep them apart. Most of his peers believe that the title of “First Lady” should go to a veteran church girl who knows the ins and outs of the black church. But Anton thinks otherwise and wants to hopefully make the soft-spoken Erin his wife. Fights, unwanted pregnancy, lies, and sabotage will rock the church at its very foundation. However, only one lucky woman will have the honor of becoming the “Pastor’s Wife”.

BRYNN WAS BEYOND KRAZY AND GOT EVERYTHING THAT WAS COMING HER WAY ... GLAD ERIN HELD ON TO THE LOVE THAT WAS FOR HER AN ASTON LOVED THEM AS A COUPLE HIS CHURCH MEMBERS WAS TRULY SOME CHARACTERS...

Good Standalone
Started off a little slow but quickly picked up the pace as the newly widowed pastor had women coming after him from all angles. Some of them were as crazy, dangerous and provided as entertaining read. Will definitely look for more books by this author.

Good storyline
This story moved rather quickly - the first lady dies and almost immediately the pastor is looking for another wife. The ladies in the congregation, both young and old, compete for his attention and a seat of power in the church. Some shenanigans, but I especially appreciated that this book wasn't about a bunch of sexcapades. Not a whole lot of character development, indeed the pastor's character seemed conflicted. Editing is definitely needed - San Diego is NOT a state despite what the author wrote. Enjoyable read, but could be stronger.

What was meant for evil
There was a lot going on in the story after pastor Anton's wife died, but He knew what he wanted and was not going to be bullied into what he didn't want. I'm glad this wasn't a story of where the bad people got away With murder literally and figuratively

Great story
I really enjoyed this book. It had just enough drama to keep me reading, but not overly filled with sex and violence. I identified with Erin although she and Anton seemed a little "slow" at times, ignoring the obvious.

I loved this book!! From start to finish it was good. I hope there is going to be a part 2 because I am ready to see where this couple is going in the COGIC...

What the devil?
This book could have been a five, but I stopped reading midway. When the author gets the characters confused it's a no for me. Shame.

Good read
This story was an enjoyable read and glad Anton didn't get crazy Brynn pregnant. I knew she was crazy from the start.
