Maishia "Isha" Richardson is a young mother who has her whole life ahead of her. Growing up in the hood as a fatherless child of a crackhead wasn’t easy. She has plans to enroll into a community college soon to start her nursing degree, but those plans are soon halted when she's put in the middle of her boyfriend's careless situation.
She's deeply in love with her first love Ezzard "Ezzy" Robinson who is the father of her toddler son and is one strike away from spending the rest of his life surrounded by concrete walls in the penal system. Ezzy promises Isha time and time again that he will leave the street life alone, but he's too addicted to it.
His last selfish mistake might end up changing him for the better in the long run, but it causes the mother of his child to stop her life to prove to him just how deep her loyalty is. As the days on the calendar pass Maishia learns that the ones she gave her deepest loyalty to are the same ones to betray her. Her time away has matured her book wise and street wise. She’s not the little girl she once was before she got locked up.
During her time away, she has learned that everyone that started in her circle didn’t stay in her circle for long. Making moves in the free world is easy, but when you’re locked up you must do what you need to in order to survive. Her time behind those concrete walls has turned her into a person she never thought she would ever be.

Life dealt Maisha a terrible hands. Due to her upbringing, she absolutely fell for the wrong man as he didn’t exactly have the best upbringing himself. As a result of that she ultimately suffered the most consequences. And with “friends” like Chy she certainly didn’t need any enemies. This story flowed so smoothly I was done in a matter of hours and on to the next installment to see how Isha deals with the latest blow she’s been dealt and if she will ultimately prevail in this situation or will love ultimately cost her everything.

This is the second book I've read from this Author. Her pen game is pretty good, she will twist a exciting tale, that will have you wanting more.......I don't like to include spoilers in my reviews, so I'll just say that I thought Miaisha was quite dumb, for the things she put up with, and I'm wondering how she will, respond in part 2. Overall the book was a face paced entertaining read. I rate this book 4 stars. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Scandalous friends and family cost too much
I can’t wait to see who Miashia has become and what happened to her mother. I really hope Chyna lying behind, Ezzy& Lena catch the new Aisha because it is definitely what they all deserve. I dislike Chyna so I hope she get to feel the other side of how things can be ~ karma for being so scandalous and not a real friend, just a hater.

Yes baby. Listen we all have had a boyfriend or know an Ezzy and this guy is an entire trip. The storyline is so realistic and relatable and it didn’t get too far fetched. I could picture every event infold as I was reading and loved it. Now I can’t wait to dive into part2 because I need some answers. Lol

Great Read!!
Wow!! I can't believe he would let her take the fall for something he did, and leave town with the other woman. Now she has to deal with not only losing her child, but also finding out she has lost her mother. Waiting on part 2 to find out what happens next.

Loooved this book!~ From start to finish Fire!~ Chyna ain't no friend at all and E is a fraud. At first I felt bad for Maisha but then I was like she's a fool. I would have never rode for a man that cheated like that. I can't wait for part 2!~

This book had me hooked from page 1! Poor Isha didn't have anybody she could depend on. Chyna didn't care about anybody but herself! I knew part 2 now!

Great storyline
This book was real good. maiasha didn't deserve to be caught up in Ezzy bs. Ezzy is lowdown and dirty. Lena gonna get here and Chy is just a bad friend. I can't wait to see what this author is going to do in book 2.
