OVERALL: 3 stars -- All in all, the series was only okay for me. I felt like I didn't learn a whole lot about the dragons until the later books, and I only truly liked a few of the characters. And the lack of closure/wrap up to the conflict in Beau's book just really aggravated me. I'm sure there are better dragon books out there.

HOLDEN'S MATE:
https://celebrityreaders.com/2019/01/...

3 stars — For a shifter book, there wasn’t a whole lot of shifting going on…so that was a bit of a bummer. As far as paranormal elements, Leah being a psychic played into it more than Holden being a dragon. I really wish we’d gotten to know more about what it was like to be a dragon, what it was like on their old world, just basic world building type things…we really only got glimpses.

On the whole, the story was short. Entertaining, but short. There just wasn’t enough time to build up chemistry and connection between Leah and Holden. Or perhaps I just wasn’t satisfied with what was there. It felt very much like insta-love…and if it had been explained away as a by-product of being fated mates, then I would have been more satisfied…but I really didn’t get that impression.

I enjoyed both characters in general though. Leah was dealing with changes in her life, but it was fun seeing her use her psychic powers to make a living…and she seemed like a genuine person. I liked her. And Holden seemed like a good guy. It was funny to see him struggling with being “human”, and I could appreciate how disorienting that might be. I also appreciated that he tried very hard not to pressure Leah in his pursuit of her affections…even when he got rejected. I do wish we’d seen him interact with Finn more. As the series is “Daddy Dragon Guardians”, I expected more interplay with the kid, you know?

And I probably would have rated this a 3.5 (still rounded down, but…), but the author enjoyed using odd euphemisms that just didn’t work for me… She actually used sword and sheath…for realz. I don’t need that kind of variety personally, it takes me out of the story since it’s so…bizarre.

So yeah. I was entertained, but in general there was a lot of depth missing — from the characters, from the romance, from the world building.

XANDER'S MATE:
https://celebrityreaders.com/2019/01/...

3.5 stars — Welp, I enjoyed this one more than Holden’s Mate! It’s funny because a few of my complaints about the previous book was the lack of dragon time and the lack of kid time, and we got both of those in this one!! I loved seeing Xander interacting with Nora, they had such a fantastic daddy/daughter relationship. And I loved that we got a bit more of a feel of what it was like for Xander as a dragon…and what shifting is like, and all that stuff. Though I still don’t know what happens to the clothes, or any of those details, but at least this was better.

And in general I really liked Xander! He tried SO HARD. I loved that he made missteps, but that after time and thought, he understood where he went wrong and tried to make up for it. He was so earnest, and I loved his genuine curiosity about Earth and humans. I just felt drawn to him.

Summer, on the other hand, was not my favourite. She confused me. I mean, I think she’s supposed to. And the author tried really hard to explain why Summer was reacting so bizarrely, but in the end I still didn’t buy into it. It was an extreme reaction, and I still don’t understand what was bothering her so much. If there had been some mystical explanation, I probably would have accepted it more. But she was really just afraid of a relationship. Now don’t get me wrong, Xander comes on strong, and she should be all “whoa buddy!” But she flipped her lid a few times and it just seemed TOO out of character for her.

Also, is it weird to say that I wasn’t all that interested in her communing with the spirits and all that? Which is weird, since that’s more authentically Wiccan I think, and I don’t actually have a problem with the religion, but it felt the same as if I were reading about a book with heavy Christian overtones…religious stuff is religious stuff, and it’s not what I’m there for. Her more otherworldly magical powers were much more exciting! Though I did love seeing her help out patrons in her shop.

As for their chemistry…well, because of Summer’s reactions, I had a hard time getting sucked into their connection. So I wasn’t as invested as I wanted to be in their romance.

So definite improvements in some areas, but still not a complete hit for me. Ah well.

BEAU'S MATE:
https://celebrityreaders.com/2019/01/...

2.5 stars — You know, I wasn’t really a fan of Autumn in the previous two books, and this book did not change my opinion of her. I’m definitely seeing a trend in the heroines in this series, and I will admit that they’re not very relatable and likeable. It’s almost like they’re reactions are over the top, and so I can’t empathize with what they’re feeling, because their reactions are so strong. Autumn just might have been the worst of the bunch. Not only was she a witch, but she was a witch with a b. You could especially see it in the way she spoke with and saw her sister.

Beau was a mixed bag. He was definitely more likeable than Autumn, but he could be a bit stubborn and pigheaded as well. I did love his relationship with his son, and I appreciated his caretaker role in their dragon family unit. I also appreciated that he and Autumn could relate on some of their own personality traits, and it did make Autumn’s look a bit more reasonable.

The two of them together had potential, and I appreciated that she wasn’t the same kind of resistant as Leah and Summer. But when they clashed, they really clashed.

The reason this lost an extra half star is because of the action/suspense elements. Not that they were bad, but they were completely unresolved at the end of the story. COMPLETELY UNRESOLVED. Like no resolution. Can you tell I’m hung up on it? 😛 Some crazy shit went down, and besides not feeling as though the danger had passed (and been RESOLVED), there also should have been some consequences!! At the very least some community reaction! It’s like we’re in a bubble in the book. The last chapter is some happy epilogue, and meanwhile I’m over here like WTF?

So yeah. Maybe I should round down now that I’ve spent my review ranting somewhat, but honestly it’s just that the things that bugged me REALLY bugged me, you know? I’m almost afraid to read Julian’s book…if it’s another unrelatable heroine, I’m going to be super bummed.

JULIAN'S MATE:
https://celebrityreaders.com/2019/02/...

3 stars — I appreciated that this one was different from the previous 3 in that Naomi is also a dragon. I really enjoyed the prologue and learning why she left Charok. My heart broke for her having to make such an impossible choice, and for Julian not knowing what was going on but wanting the best for Naomi.

But…then we got to the present. And I didn’t quite understand what Julian’s aim was in studying the books. And then when I was hoping to learn more about Naomi now, we instead got Autumn’s POV for a bit. And since Autumn is my least favourite heroine in the series, I was less impressed. I guess I sort of got it, but still… Also of note — we still didn’t get any kind of wrap up from the previous book, though I only held out a little hope for that. And she was still as witchy with a b to her sister Summer.

As for the rest of the book…I feel like we got a lot of action, what with the conflict with Naomi…but I never felt like I got to know Julian OR Naomi, so I couldn’t even tell you what I liked or disliked about them.

I probably could have DNFd this one, but I just really wanted to find out how it was going to wrap up. And I got that…it wasn’t necessarily unsatisfying, but I wouldn’t call it satisfying either. But it’s a short book, so there’s that. 😛

I loved reading this box-set so much! The first time of reading the Daddy Dragon Guardians Series was with Julian's story with Naomi and I was so happy that he got his HEA ♡

But at the same time, I was intrigued by the other guys' stories too and reading this box-set gave the opportunity to do it in order until reaching Julian's story :)

Each story had a bit of everything in it, especially the hot, ALPHA MALE, protective, possessive shifter wiling to do anything for his mate and family and friends. Can't get any better than that!! ;)

I don't regret a single moment of reading this and I'm super happy that everyone got their well-deserved happily ever after ♡ :) ♡

I am delighted to see all four of the "Daddy Dragon Guardians" in a collection! I loved this collection of dragon shifter stories! These four stories are wonderfully written with some great characters. They are all fairly quick fast paced reads with some romance and action. I read these but also listened to them. The narrator did a great job!

Holden, Xander, Beau, and Julian are such awesome men and dragons. Their hearts are pure and in the right place., even If the women in their lives don't see it at first. They are so sweet and brave to escape their world and come to Earth to raise the queen's eggs as their own. Than to actually all find their fated mates is absolutely stunning. I completely enjoyed this series!!

i read this box set as part of an arc program.
Holden's Mate- I enjoyed this book about a dragon shifter who had to flee his home planet with three friend and four eggs laid by their Queen. Each man took one of the eggs and were raising the baby as their child. Holden wants to find a mate to help raise his son and think somewhere out there is his mate. He doesn't want to be with someone just to have them there, he wants love. Leah is a psychic who is recently divorced. She is feeling like she failed because her marriage is over and she doesn't want to start dating again. When her two friends insist she go out with them to a bar, Holden is there with his friends and he feels her presence as soon as he enters the bar, although he doesn't understand it. When Leah is approached by a man who won't take no for an answer, Holden comes to her rescue. A few days later, they see each other in the grocery store. Holden is attracted to Leah and wants to know why, so he arranges a psychic reading. Much to his surprise, Leah is the psychic. They have an instant attraction and when Leah sees strange things in Holden's reading, she thinks he is hiding something. Holden knows she is his mate, but he is unsure of how to tell her everything.
Xander's Mate- In this book Xander is looking for his mate and a mother for his daughter Nora. Xander sees how his daughter needs a motherly touch and he wants to feel loved after seeing how humans interact. When he meets Summer, a witch and a friend of his fellow dragon's mate, he knows right away she is meant to be his. Xander feels the urge to shift into his dragon when she is near and he can barely control himself. Summer is independent and doesn't feel she needs a man. When Xander first meets her, he comes to her defense against a woman who badmouths Summer for being a witch and Summer thinks he overstepped and she could have handled it herself. Summer doesn't believe Xander when he tells her she is his mate, but she feels something different for him and wants to get to know him and be friends. Xander agrees to go slow. but he has a harder time with that then he thought.
Beau's Mate- In this book, Beau is starting to think it is time to find his mate and a mother for his son Elliot. When the dragon holiday Zimryr approaches, the other dragons want to celebrate it with their friends. When Beau offers to stay behind and babysit all of the children, Holden tells him no and Julian babysits them. Beau goes to the party where he meets Autumn, the twin sister of Summer, Xander's mate. Autumn is a witch and she and her sister run a store in town. When Autumn is invited to the party, she doesn't want to go because she is so busy with the store, but she decides to go. When she meets Beau and he asks her to dinner, she agrees. Autumn and Beau are extremely attracted to one another, but when Autumn wants to go home instead of staying with Beau, he gets dominate and wants her to stay so he can protect her. Autumn is independent and says she can protect herself. Beau lets her go, but thinks he has to apologize for being overprotective. Autumn and Summer have been harassed by a local group trying to force the witches out of town. When Autumn is kidnapped, Beau knows she is in trouble and vows to get her back and protect her.
Julian's Mate- In this book, we learn Julian had found his mate before he was forced to flee Charok for Earth. Julian was in love with Naomi and she had to leave because she was sick. Naomi was sent to Earth and met Summer, Autumn and Leah. Naomi was killed in a car accident and her spirit was still in contact with the girls. Naomi was in a place of limbo until the girls could find a way to bring her back. Julian was also trying to find her, but he thought she was dead and he would never see her again. Holden urged Julian to try and find a mate on Earth, but he was not interested. When The girls managed to bring Naomi back, Julian felt drawn to Autumn's house, where he found her. They had a wonderful and loving reunion, until Naomi realized the girls also brought back a demon from limbo with her. Naomi knew the demon would harm everyone if she allowed him close to them, so she wanted to stay away to fight him alone. Julian knows something is wrong with Naomi and enlists everyone for help finding her and bringing her home. When they find her, they realize the danger with the demon and have to fight for their lives.
This was a great series and i really enjoyed read about each single father's search for their loves.

Holden’s Mate---Wonderful story! Leah is a psychic and her two friends are witches. Leah has just finally gotten her divorce and her friends are taking her out to celebrate although she's not sure this is a cause for celebration. While out she's accosted by a drunk male and rescued by a hunk male,Holden. Since he'd walked into the bar his senses had been overwhelmed and he felt his dragon surging forward. Holden and his friends are on Earth from another planet. They've brought the last of the dragon eggs and have each become responsible for the little ones. Now they are hoping to find mates to help care for the infants/toddlers.
Leah and Holden have another encounter and then Holden decides to call a psychic, something he's familiar with from his home world. To his surprise he discovers that the psychic he's called and who arrives is Leah. Life just got better and more interesting for each of them.
Fantastic story and read!

Xander’s Mate---Life on Earth surely isn;t easy. Human women and emotions are even more daunting. Xander is the caretaker/dad of little Nora. He sees how his friend Holden has found his mate and hopes for one of his own. Online dating really isn;t all it;s cracked up to be at least for him. Then he;s invited by Holden and Leah to go to the summer business picnic. There he;s introduced to Summer, a local witch who owns a shop with her twin sister. Just seeing her then touching her hand assures Xander she;s the one for him. Unfortunately for him, things don;t go as planned and Summer sets more blocks in their path to happiness.
Fantastic story and read! Can;t wait to see how each of the other dragons adjust to Earth and Earth women.

Beau’s Mate---And another dragon from Charok bites the dust!
Autumn is Summer;s twin and co owner in the store they own. She;s focused on business and upset that her sister doesn;t seem to be concerned about the business. In the meantime Holden and Lean are discussing holding a party celebrating the holiday of Zimryr on Charok. Summer drags her sister to the party where as she is munching on a hors d’oeuvre where she finds a small ring that symbolizes finding true love. Meanwhile in the burning paper portion of the evening, Beau, during the dare part of truth or dare, tells all he sent his request for a mate into the universe. As Autumn is leaving she comes across a little boy looking for his dad. She takes him to Beau who asks her out. They enjoy they evening together until Beau;s attitude of control and protecting come into conflict with Autumn;s attitude that she can take care of herself. She leaves and when she gets home she;s so distracted she doesn't realize she isn;t alone. Then life gets dangerous.
Fantastic story!

Julian’s Mate--Leah, Summer and Autumn are doing their monthly ritual in calling to Naomi, a friend and dragon who had died years before in an auto accident. They manage to pull her to them but only for moments. A day or so later, a young man enters the store and asks Autumn for some help in doing a soul retrieval. Upon hearing this, Autumn starts to think about the idea of soul retrieval with bringing Naomi back. So she starts to investigate the idea. The following month they are ready to perform the soul retrieval and to supply her a body they use items like dirt, stones and plants and do a spell. It succeeds. They leave to let her rest and Julian shows up. Julian and Naomi had been true mates on their planet and are giddy they are together again. Then she sends him off when her instinct tells her something is wrong.
Fantastic story and characters.

Daddy Dragon Guardians: The Complete Series Collection Box Set

Dragons of Charok
By: Meg Ripley
Narrated by: Elle Sonali

This is an amazing series, each book features one of the four dragon shifters who fled their planet, Charok, to help save their species, each one took with them an egg carrying their late Queens offspring. They made a new home for themselves on Earth. They brought plenty of gold to live off of and are adapting to their new planet, studied human behavior so they could find in. The only thing they desire is finding a mate to share their life with and help bring up their children. The first book is Holden and Leah’s story, Leah is a physic and has friends who are witches and have magical powers, she is also aware of the existence of dragon shifters living on her, one of their friends was one. I loved the chemistry between Holden and Leah, she was not interested in getting involved but Holden was persistent. Dragon’s can feel it when they meet their true mate. The second book is Xander and Summer’s story and it is simply magical. Summer is a witch and owns a shop in town with her sister Autumn who was away and left Summer running the business. There is great chemistry between Xander and Summer but do two people from different worlds really belong together. The third book is Beau and Autumn’s story, she is the more serious minded of the twins, her sister Summer is free spirited and Autumn is more of the go-getter, no nonsense type. Beau caught her eye right from the start, he knew there was something between them but she fought it, wanting her independence. Trouble has been brewing in town, people are on a witch hunt for her and her sister. That trouble catches up to her in this book and it is Beau who comes to her rescue. The fourth book is Julian and Naomi’s story, the other shifters are telling him to find his mate but he reminds them he already had his mate, who is gone. Naomi had to leave Charok, with the help of Varhan, a wizard, she went to Earth, she lived a good life until she was killed in a car accident, her good friends Leah, Naomi and Summer missed her and tried to keep in touch with her in the afterworld. When Autumn and Summer come up with a way to bring her back problem is she does not come back alone, an evil being comes back with her, the same evil that wants to eliminate the dragon shifters. This book is the perfect wrap up for the series, I loved who Julian was to Naomi. I also loved all the children, Flynn, Nora, Elliott and Kaylee, they were adorable and their new Mommies were perfect for them. I highly recommend this book, it is entertaining and enjoyable. Meg Ripley, thank you for these fabulous story, they captivated me from start to end. I am looking forward to what comes next for the next generation.

I listened to the Audible edition, Elle Sonali is a talented narrator and voice artist. She brings these characters to life, gives each their own voice and personality, as well as heart and attitude. Her portrayal of the characters is perfection each sounding as I picture them to sound. Great job with the children’s voice too. She sets the perfect tone for the story, captures the characters emotions and projects them into her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen🎧

This is a collection of four dragon books including: Holden's Mate, Xander's Mate, Beau's Mate, and Julian's Mate. The common thread in each book is that when the War of Storms devastated the planet Charok, four dragon shifters fled with the last of their slain queen's eggs. Each of them was tasked with creating a family on Earth for themselves and the young dragons that they were able to save. Below is a review of two books to give you an idea of what you’ll find within! Reviews of the other two can be found under each individual book title. (I owned all of the books individually before the box set came out.)

>>> Reviewing “HOLDEN’S MATE” <<<
This is a great story about a dragon who has come to Earth to raise his “son”, Finn, one of only a few survivors of his kind. He comes to the aid of a young woman, Leah, and is strongly attracted to her. But Leah has just gotten over a drawn out divorce and is not ready to meet someone new. In embarrassment, she runs away.

They cross paths again and Leah is confused, not only about her psychic gift that seems to be “malfunctioning” but about the feelings she has for Holden. Will she be able to give him a chance? Can she be the mate he needs to raise his son?

This love story is handled so well by the author. The characters were wonderful and caring; the reader could not help but hope that they could make a future together. The story line is perfectly paced and draws the reader in.

>>> Reviewing “JULIAN’S MATE” <<<
Julian and Naomi sat together in Charok, talking about the strange illness she had which sapped all of her strength and kept her in constant pain all night. The mages and witches, who normally could heal anything, had no idea what this was or how to fight it. The only other thing left was to go to Earth, to permanently leave Charok. Even harder, she told Julian he could not follow her, he had to promise.

The wizard Varhan met her at the little hut and could see how much just this walk took out of her. It would have been easier to fly as dragons, but she didn’t have the strength now. Her wings were dragging on the ground. He prepared her with an application he painted on her scales and told her on Earth she would meet her true love – which alarmed her since she had met Julian here on Charok – and said her presence would allow three others to meet their true loves. The ground trembled as she chanted, then the ground opened and she fell through.

On Earth, Naomi had met Summer, Autumn, and Leah. When Naomi is killed in an accident, her spirit remained and her witch friends were able to bring her back. Unfortunately, a demon was also brought back! Naomi tries to handle the problem herself – but can she? What will happen now? What is their connection with this demon? She can’t put her friends and her mate, Julian, in danger! How will she send the demon back? Will she, Julian, and Kaylee ever become a family and find their HEA?

“Julian’s Mate” is the final book in this series and is a wonderful way to end the story. Now you can have all of their stories together in one collection to enjoy from beginning to end!

Holden's Mate:
I don't blame Holden for his view of humans - I am human & they're not my favourite species - but he is a good man and knows what he needs to do for the young ones that he and his fellow evacuees are raising. None of them know much about human customs apart from what has been researched by one of them but Holden knows immediately that Leah is different as she affects him as no other has done. Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it) for him Leah is a psychic so she knows beyond doubt that he is holding something back from her. Holden is most surprised to learn that maybe his secret isn't that much of a shock to Leah because of someone she knew in her younger years. I enjoyed the story, Leah's hesitancy at getting involved with someone she knew to be keeping secrets was totally understandable considering her ex-husband's actions. I loved how protective Holden was of her & yet how strong he was with enough self-restrain to keep his beast at bay. Their connection was strong and was so much more than mere physical chemistry, it was special and other worldly.

Xander's Mate:
I enjoyed Summer, she was so well-balanced and had such a calm demeanor, that is until she reacted with uncharacteristic anger towards Xander trying to step in and protect her from a bully. When Xander tells her that she is his destined mate she is less than enthused, this is not what she wants right now. I loved Xander, how patient he was with Summer and what a brilliant father he was. Will his patience pay off? Will Summer get the answers from her spirit guides that she is seeking? It’s a quick read but packed full of emotion and sweetness.

Beau's Mate:
This series just goes from strength to strength and Beau's Mate is a fabulous book. This one feature's Summer's sister, Autumn, who is, to put it politely, just a tad A-type and incredibly stubborn to boot. The town is still very much anti-witch (or maybe it is a case of the narrow minded few spoiling it for the many) but people want Summer, Autumn and their shop gone. Beau is as protective of his woman as his brother's were but he has his work cut out for him even more than they did due to Autumn's no-nonsense personality. Crazy times ensue which just makes for an entertaining read.

Julian's Mate:
This was so different from the previous books in that Julian didn’t find a human mate, his mate was from his own world - that was a big surprise as I was under the impression everyone from Charok was dead. The characters are so likeable, it is impossible not to become emotionally invested in their story. Julian & Naomi’s story is filled with excitement and emotion and their journey will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Holden’s Mate

Holden and his friends are dragon shifters on Earth and each are taking care of a child. Leah is a psychic who is recently divorced. On a night out to try and find mates Holden senses her at the bar. What happens next is a great story. I love that Meg gave us a great story to follow on why they are on earth and also gives me my love of mates and hot chemistry. I loved little Finn...so adorable. And I loved when Holden just knew he had to protect Leah. I cannot wait for more of this new story line.

Xander’s Mate

I really love this series from Meg Ripley. This is the second story of dragons who had to leave their planet who are hiding out on earth. They each have taken a hatchling now little dragon to raise and are trying to find their destined mates. Xander loves to study everything about humans. Summer is a witch and a friend of Leah's who is Holden's mate. Xander really wants to find his mate now that Holden is so happy. He wants nothing more than to have Nora his little dragon have a Momma. Nora is an adorable little girl. At first Summer really wants to just be friends with Xander and even though he KNOWS they are mates she is confused why she hasn't "felt" it yet. Meg does a great job of right a story that just leaps from the page and gives you little things to laugh about (like when Nora is out to dinner with Xander and Summer) and drama (when Xander feels trouble) and hot sex. Even though Summer was fighting this I felt the chemistry and connection between the two and really loved the story. It's a standalone but Holden's Mate was so good you should read the series!

Beau’s Mate

This is Beau and Autumn's story. (Autumn is Summer's twin sister). This wasn't my favorite in the series. I felt this one was rushed and didn't really feel any chemistry between Beau and Autumn or even a motherly connection between Autumn and Elliot. I did enjoy the drama with the evil antagonists in this story. I see a continuation in the next book. I did enjoy my HEA and I love Meg's books but this one felt rushed to me. I received an ARC for an honest, voluntary review

Julian’s Mate

Hand clapping for Meg Ripley's final book in the series! Julian and Naomi were mates back on their home planet. Julian assumed she was dead and was not going to look for anyone else on Earth. She is friends with Leah, Summer and Autumn and they help her get back to Earth from the "Otherworld". It's an adventure and the HEA that Meg gives you is the best surprise ever!!! I'm so glad I was able to read all the books in the series. Maybe Meg will give us books as the "kids" grow up????

Holden's Mate – Holden is a dragon shifter from another world. He and his friends flee to Earth to escape and evil wizard who has destroyed the dragons in their world with a deadly virus. He does not understand human mating rituals but knows he must find a mate to help him raise Finn.
Leah’s, a strong psychic, divorce is final, and her friends take her out to celebrate. Holden rescue’s her from a drunk thug but she runs from him. They seem to keep meeting and eventually spend the night together, but, she feels he is keeping secrets which he will not share so she leaves.
Can he tell her he is a dragon shifter or will she run for the hills?
Xander's Mate -Summer is a free spirit and wants no ties to any man, also she is a witch and proud of it!
Xander doesn’t want a mate, he thinks he can bring up his daughter just fine on his own!
Then they meet and although thinks start off a bit badly they soon are thinking about each other more than they realise.
This is an enjoyable read about how two people, that are obviously meant to be together, who fight it all the way.
Beau's Mate -Autumn is a witch and does not hide the fact but, some of the towns people have reached for their pitchforks and are determined to get rid of her by fair means or a good witch burning. Beau is a dragon shifter who has set his sights on Autumn and is determined to protect her, even if she doesn’t want him too.
Beau knows his son needs a mother and Autumn is the perfect woman for the job: she knows about his dragon and she is great with Elliot, his cute son.
Autumn can’t help but be drawn in by Elliot but getting Beau to understand that she is not a weak human takes longer.
A great story which I enjoyed tremendously.
Julian's Mate – Julian and Naomi were mates in Charok before she became ill and was helped by a rogue wizard to leave her world and Julian and flee to Earth. Unfortunately, she later died and found herself in a shadowland.
Julian, after a few years also fled to Earth with and egg that hatched to be Kaylee who he now claimed as his daughter.
Naomi’s friends manage to bring her back and she reunites with Julian, but a past evil clings to her and comes to our world too.
Can they defeat the evil from their past or will it succeed in killing all the dragons and set it’s sights on the human race?
This is a fantastic box set which completes the whole story with a satisfying conclusion. I would easily, highly recommend this wonderful set of books.

I loved this series when I read them individually and love having them in one book.

"Holden's Mate":
Holden and his fellow dragons escaped from Charok. They also found themselves as the "adopted" guardians of four dragon younglings. These dragons are in desperate need of mates. Will they find them on Earth? Leah's divorce has just become final and she has no intentions of jumping into another relationship. When fate keeps throwing her and Holden together, Leah decides it's time to figure out why.

"Xander's Mate":
Seeing Holden and Leah happy together causes Xander to start wishing to find his mate. Summer is a witch and a free-spirit. The last thing she wants or needs is a man/mate. Will Xander be able to convince Summer that they belong together and to be a mother for Nora(the little dragon/girl he's raising)?

"Beau's Mate":
Stubborn and independent....that is the best way to describe Autumn. Protector and provider...those words describe Beau. Needless to say they will need to learn to communicate and compromise if they plan on being a couple. When you add in a fanatical group out to rid the town of witches, Autumn and Beau will have more on their hands besides relationship issues. Will they find a way to make things work or will things go up in smoke?

"Julian's Mate":
This is the final story in the "Daddy Dragon Guardians" series. If you have read the other three stories, you already had an idea as to who was going to be Julian's mate. How this was going to be possible was a mystery. What we didn't know was that Julian had already met his mate before coming to Earth and had lost her to illness. Hmm... I see a "twist" coming on. Actually, this installment throws several several curve balls before the final showdown. Would love for Ms. Ripley to revisit this series somewhere in the future and tell the children's stories.

Awesome stories about Alien dragon shifters

Holden's Mate-- Holden couldn't understand why he felt drawn to Leah. She is genuine psychic and she saw his race being destroyed on his planet. Is she truly his mate?

Xander's Mate-- Xander is a dragon-shifter who knows that Summer is his destined mate. Summer is a witch and one of a twin. How can Xander convinced Summer if needed by him and his daughter, Nora?

Beau's Mate-- Beau is the dragon shifter who found the love of his life in Summer's twin-Autumn, who is also a witch. She is bound and determined to remain independent and her own boss. But the town has an element that stinks they are witch Hunters. Is Autumn safe from the witch Hunters?

Julian's Mate-- Julian is a dragon-shifter from another planet. His mate was ill and unknowingly sent to Earth where she could be healed. However, she died in an an accident before Julian and for others along with four Queen's eggs came to Earth. An evil wizard created the virus that killed everyone on their planets except for these four Dragon shifters. One day the witches and the psychic retrieve Naomi from the void which was purgatory. Unknowingly, the evil wizards came with her. We all day along with the dragons send the wizard back in the void?

The characters including the hatch eggs are unique. How they cope on Earth and try to find their mates is part of the plot. Each dragon and counters a task when protecting their mates. This is a terrific book but I feel that it isn't Cliffhanger because it doesn't tell about what happened to the children. I found out there's another book out there that tells about this. Hurray I can hardly wait to buy it. Highly recommended.

I have voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Having previously read each story, and having enjoyed each, I can recommend reading this boxset. Each story is well-written following a different couples love story. They are all standalone with a running storyline.

Holden's mate
This is a good story, well-written and definitely entertaining. Hot sexy dragon shifter is looking for his mate. Loved the characters. Can't wait for more...

Xander's mate
This is the second book in the Daddy Dragon Guardians series, can be read as a standalone story. No cliffhangers and has a wonderful HEA.
Xander is dragon and he's on the look out for a mate, to help him look after his daughter. He meets Summer, a witch, she's a free spirit and totally all for nature. Can Xander get Summer to realize that they are perfect for each other?
Well-written story, really enjoyable storyline with wonderful likable characters. Thoroughly enjoyable story.

Beau's mate
This is a wonderful addition to Daddy Dragon Guardians series, we follow dragon shifter Beau as he realizes the one local witch twin is his mate, this stubborn couple are similar and wonderful together. This story is a wonderfully well-written with a fast paced action filled storyline.

Julian's mate
I was absolutely delighted to finally get to read Julian's story, there is so much heartache for this strong alpha dragon shifter. He finally gets his mate with the help of our favorite dragons and their spunky mates. Especially when they realise she is their college friend. Unfortunately a huge blast from the blast returns and it takes all of them to defeat the enemy.

Holden's Mate: This paranormal romance is fantastic - a short story that moves along at a brisk pace. A solid read that is quick, entertaining and pretty hot. It is well-written, with bits of humor thrown in. The story flows so well that I was at the last page craving more.

Xander's Mate: Beautifully written, another amazing book in the “Daddy Dragon Guardians” series. It is a solid read, fast pace, consistent and engaging; easily read in one sitting. There is little drama and is the perfect read for anyone looking for something interesting and enjoyable to read.

Beau's Mate: I really enjoyed this 3rd book in the ‘Daddy Dragon Guardians’ series. It is a solid read – fast pace, entertaining and pretty hot. It is well written, funny, and exciting. The characters Beau and Autumn are strong and very stubborn – I love them. Quite a bit happened in this book including kidnapping, and very aggressive behaviour from the anti-witch protesters. The story flows really well, not one boring page to be found, and before I know it I was at the end with a silly grin on my face.

Julian's Mate: An absolutely amazing quick read and what I assume is the final book in the ‘Daddy Dragons Guardian’ series. It is a beautifully written, fast pace, consistent and engaging page-turner. Finally Holden, Zander, Beau, and Julian, with the help of their mates are able to face and defeat the Creature responsible for the demise of their planet Charok. It is a very exciting read, and I recommend this series strongly.

Meg Ripley knows how to captivate the reader from the very first letter and throughout the book with her steamy stories and intriguing plots. And this dragon shifter romance boxset is no exception.

Holden's Mate
Holden's Mate is the first installment of the Daddy Dragon Guardians Series. Even though this is a standalone, I think reading all 4 books tells the whole story.
When Holden and his friend arrive at Earth with 4 dragon eggs, they know they have to start living as humans. And one of their tasks is to find a mate.
This is a sweet, quick and steamy read.

Xander's Mate
This is a sweet and intriguing story filled with thrilling moments and enjoyable characters, well executed plot and a storyline that makes you root for a beautiful HEA all the way through.

Beau's Mate
I love how the author has portayed the protagonists. They're both stongheaded, got strong personalities and the chemistry between them is scorching hot.

Julian's Mate
Julian lost his first love a long time ago, years before he and his friends escaped to Earth. All of his fellow dragons is happy and has found their mate on Earth, but when Julian finally finds love again, she brings more to the table than anyone could have foreseen.
If you enjoy your read within the shifter romance genre, you will love this one. It is swert, engrossing and suspensful.

FUN, romantic, STEAMY and sometimes gritty and intense, this Shifter Romance Collection has it all!
I absolutely loved this shifter romance collection, “DADDY DRAGON GUARDIANS,” by author Meg Ripley. Each of the included titles follows the lives and loves of four surviving dragon shifters and the hatchlings with which they escaped to Earth. Four novellas, one for each dragon shifter and his efforts to find a human mate. Each story is engaging, unique, and phenomenally well written. Ripley’s prose is smooth and easy to read, descriptive, and full of delightfully well-developed characters that this reader totally loved. Oh, and the little ones do have a tendency to steal some scenes, just warning you! I volunteered to read “DADDY DRAGON GUARDIANS” to prepare this honest 5-star review. If you are in the market for some entertaining reads that will take you out of whatever real life may be handing you, then “DADDY DRAGON GUARDIANS” is the collection to purchase this week! Happy pages! 😉

4 books about true dads

Daddy Dragon Guardians: Dragons Of Charok
By Meg Ripley
Kindle unlimited purchase
This is a great series about four dragons that left a world of devastation, knowing they were the last chance for 4 of their queen's eggs. Now on earth thinking their planet and all their friends and family or dead they find their true mate and raise the hatchlings as their own.
Book 1 is about Holden and his son Finn
Book 2 is about Zander and his daughter Nora
Book 3 is about Beau and his son Elliot
Book 4 is about Julian and his daughter Kaylee
Each book was a look into the unknown. I enjoyed this collection of books. I liked how all the females knew each other already. but I think how they ALL met was a little off. I mean the woman KNEw each other so was the twins not talking about the four MEN and the babies. So I had a little bit of trouble with how Autumn and Beau got to know each other. The men were great daddies and loved the dragonets like their own.
I do recommend that 18 and older due to adult content.

Great!!!
I'm not going to give any spoilers & I'll keep this short. I actually got quite emotional during parts of this book, but loved it all the same. I ask anyone who likes those type of stories where the Hero is sometimes rather unsure of themselves yet still manages to save the day and Ladies who can kick butt just as well as their men that also ends is a HEA - give this book a read. There are a good amount of twists and turns in the stories to keep your (MY) attention as well as wishing for more. It made a place on my "Read Again" list & could be on yours too. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is due to the fact that I believe there is always room for improvement (granted I cannot point out what could be improved other the simply more story.)!!

Daddy Dragons has four complete stories included. I’ve only had a chance to read two so far and they were both excellent.
Xander’s Mate
Xander and three other dragon shifters escaped to Earth when their race was exterminated on their home planet. He is searching for a human mate while still learning about humans. Summer is a free-spirited witch who enjoys her independence. When they meet Xander immediately knows Summer is his mate. Now he just has to convince her.
Beau’s Mate
Beau is the third entry in the Daddy Dragon Guardians series and is just as much fun as the others, with a bit more drama. All of the characters from the previous books make appearances and the main characters are wonderful additions.

I must say when you read these four beautiful stories of four strong and honorable Dragon Shifters it will melt you down and make you wish for your very own. Each Dragon Shifter has a tale of wanting the best for the last offsprings of their demised Queen. In order for that to happen they need women with hearts of gold and a great mother instinct. In each journey they meet beautiful and strong intelligent women that stormed their bodies and heart. As you read you will see the love, the honor, and loyalty of each. A great boxset that leaves you wide open with it's sexiness and the strong characters. A great read and A MUST READ! Trust me it will sweep you away.

This collection of Meg Ripley stories about dragons is wonderful and one that you won't want to miss. Through magic they have come from their planet that was being taken over and they have each brought with them a dragon egg delivered by their Queen that they each have 'adopted' as their own. But each youngster needs a mum and these hunky heroes are looking for their fated mates to be the children's mums! As you read each story, you will enjoy how each of the 'men' discovered his mate - from feeling unworldly and dizzy to sizzling to warmth. The children are so cute and their mums are so perfect for them. A really wonderful collection that is well worth reading. 4.5 stars
I have read a few books from this author and each story is entertaining in its own right. Here the reader meets Holden, Xander, Beau and Julian. Each dragon is forced from their planet due to war and have decided to go to Earth. They are not traveling alone as they each come carrying an egg that was saved from the conflict. While they are living life and raising their children, they manage to stumble upon love. These are well written stories that can be read as standalones but there are elements that join them. There is drama and steamy scenes that will keep you turning the pages until the end. This is one collection that you do not want to miss.

A nice 4 ½ star lazy day read

The Daddy Dragon Guardians series is the story of Beau, Xander, Holden, Julian and how they find their mates. Their story actually began on Charok, their home planet and ended in heartache when tragedy struck. A twist of fate and quite a bit of help is needed to bring these dragons to earth. They each must overcome some difficulties if they hope to have a happily ever after. This was a nice, relaxing lazy day read with plenty of surprises, steam, and plot twist to keep the reader engaged.

The series was entertaining and a quick read. The oppressors were each brought out in vivid scared detail that kept your attention, especially the ones threatening the children.
Empathy towards the dragons comes naturally and, in real life, you would want to give them all a huge hug every day to keep their spirits up and cheer with them when they found their mates.
Dragon shifter fans will enjoy this series. The reason I gave it a 4 star rating was because the author spent too much thought time with the characters that I had to simply briefly skim over very quickly. Too much repetition that got very boring.

When their world is under attack by an evil wizard, for dragon shifters escape to earth each with an egg from their slain queen. They raise these children as their own while trying to find their mates. Dragons, psychic, witches, evil wizard, closed minded neighbors, adorable toddlers. Yep all in here. Great series of dragon shifters finding their mates in a new land far away from their home while raising the children they saved with them. Holden, Zander, Beau and Julian all deal with the struggle of raising a child while trying to acclimate to their new home and find a mate all at the same time. Needless to say the women they find, that turn out to be their true mates, are special in their own unique ways.
