Cheralyn Darcey is a dedicated radio broadcaster with a strong passion for community, music, and gardening. She hosts regular talk-back radio programs on the 2SM Super Radio Network (www.2SMsupernetwork.com)

As a freelance journalist, Cheralyn contributes to various national and international publications on botanical and historical topics, and writes the weekly "Down in the Garden" column for Coast Newspapers.

Her fascination with the ethnobotany has lead her to vote and in many instances illustrate over 21 internationally published botanical history titles, many of them best sellers.

She is Patron of the Central Coast Edible Garden Trail and is currently pursuing a Post Graduate Diploma in Radio & Podcasting at the Australian Film, Television & Radio School (AFTRS).

Although I don't usually buy spell books as I like to make my own spells, this book was so beautiful I couldn't help but purchase it. From the gorgeous artwork on the cover, the gold inside covers to the green border on every page this book was too lovely to pass up. Not only that but I love trees. This was a great look at another's spell ideas involving my favorite being on the planet. If you love trees then I highly recommend

A must for any forest or green witch!
I’ve been a practicing witch for a couple of years now, but this is the first spell book that I’ve ever jived with as far as the spells themselves. I read this from cover to cover before trying any of them out, and they deeply resonate with me. Simple, earth based, intuitive. The author obviously has a deep connection to and intuitive understanding of plant spirits. I can’t wait to pick up her “The Book of Flower Spells” and “The Book of Herbs Spells” as well!
The suggested timings are listed for each spell, moon phase/day of the week/time of day.
I also appreciate the layout. Every page spread was a full spell, as in the left and right page were both one complete spell ritual. It created a very consistent feel with every page turn. I hope that makes sense, I’m not sure if there is an industry term for that.

This is a great book for anyone interested in spells or trees. It begins by explaining spells and how to use them. Then gets into specific tree spells: what the spell is to accomplish, ingredients needed and when best to perform spell.
The cover is esthetically pleasing and the pages are beautifully designed. Each spell page has interesting tidbits of information about the tree. This book is a nice resource to have on hand.
