Rocker meets tattoo artist a match made in heaven

I love my rocker romances and adore tattoo tales. Having these two genres mashed together is a perfect symbiosis for me. I’ve never heard of this author before but I’m so glad I decided to take a punt on this book.

The book is exceptionally well written and well edited, which shouldn’t make a difference if the story is good, but it really does. The book starts with a drunken rocker, Zac, turning up just as a tattoo parlour is about to shut demanding that the artist, Indy, tattoo over the name of his fiancée because he just found out she is pregnant with another man’s child.

When the book first starts I assume that Zac is going to be usual alpha ego maniac you often see in these books, but as he sobers up and the rest of the band are introduced you get to see the real man. He is sweet, sensitive, emotional and impulsive. He is also patient and understanding. Indy has always loved Zac’s band and has had a crush on him for nearly a decade. She sometimes gets a little lost in her own head and feels a bit like an outsider, but she never treats Zac like he’s anyone other than just a guy to her.

I really like how their personalities are revealed and as they grown closer together it really captures the nature of a short term love affair, when the deadline of the end of the holidays forces things to speed up a little. I really like how all their friends have an important part to play in their relationship with Indy becoming really good friends with one of Zac’s band mates.

The book also delves into the realities of long term relationships and how distance can have an affect on their feelings for each other.

It really is a very sweet book, with enough sauce and scandalous behaviour spread amongst all of the band to keep it entertaining.

I really hope that the author follows this book up with more about the band, and more about the tattoo parlour - either is fine!

Very Enjoyable

This book was epic in its delivery. A chance encounter and everything that follows happens in a few months time, but you are along for the journey every step of the way. I loved all the characters in this story, Indy and Zac are amazing separately and together and being that I really love band inclusion books, this one delivered big time. Super excited to discover that Zac, Indy & the rest of the crew are not done just yet.

OMG this story was awesome! The brilliant Ash Hosking definitely penned a rock star romance that was totally original when all was said & done. Indy is an amazing tattoo artist, who just happens to be the one working late when her favorite rock star, Zac, walks in, or begs to come in. He's just going to die if she doesn't cover up this tattoo that he has, and with help from his band mates, Indy gives in, and that starts her on a crazy journey with Zac. Their chemistry is off the charts HOT, so when they hook up, they light the sheets on FIRE, but Indy slips out before he wakes up. And this doesn't sit well with Zac, so he hunts her down. And then this hilarious story just takes on a life of it's own, as Zac is almost a diva, rather than a broody, playboy rocker. Plus the cast of secondaries? OMG they add even more hysterically funny moments, that when I was done, my stomach & sides hurt for real. And please don't worry all you people who need that angst factor, because Indy provides some serious push & pull that had me frustrated like no other, so there's drama & angst for the feels. I absolutely LOVED every minute of this original story, and CANNOT WAIT for more of this new series! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
