Rate this book
Pumping, plesiosaurs, porridge and pants! Monsters, mayhem and muck!

Gorgeous George, Allison and Crayon Kenny are off to Loch Ness to take part in the World Porridge Championships but the locals are behaving rather strangely. Who wants to eat rabbit poo? And what will it taste like? Grandpa Jock has boil-washed his secret invention; whoopee cushion underpants, and he is hoping these no-nonsense knickers will protect his dainty little derriere on the long train journey up north. What’s inside the talking tent and who can toot thetastiest trouser trumpets? Why are all the lakes in England drying up? Why does the soil smell of wee? And can George write a poem so shocking that it makes a school teacher wet her pants?

George may come up with the rudest rhymes he can think of but a saboteur is lurking with pots of exploding porridge. Will celebrity chef Heston Bloomingheck lose his eyebrows in the blaze? And just what have the three American scientists, Professor Marmaduke, Commander Chuck Choppers and Peewee Peterson discovered beneath the surface of Loch Ness? There’s something out there and it wees in the water!

More pumps, dumps, humps, thumps and bumps in the third fantastic addition to the Gorgeous George series of books by Stuart Reid, with illustrations by Calvin Innes.

Stuart Reid is an award winning children’s writing talent who is rapidly growing in stature. Gorgeous George & The Giant Geriatric Generator (illustrated by Calvin Innes) was his first book and also the first in the Gorgeous George series. The book picked up the Forward National Literature Award 2012 for Middle Grade Fiction. The follow up, Gorgeous George & The ZigZag Zit-Faced Zombies was released in January 2013 and enjoyed a unique launch with dozens of schools across the UK taking part in Snot Zombie Fun Days, designed to promote reading and literacy.

Stuart is one of the busiest children’s authors around having embarked on a full time book reading tour in August 2011, appearing at between 5 and 10 schools a week. So far he has read to quarter of a million children, and presented at over 2,000 schools, book stores and venues. He has presented at the London Book Fair and is performing every day for a month during 2013 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Stuart is a member of the Society of Authors and is a member of The Scottish Book Trust.

The Wigtown Book Festival described him as : “Absolutely Brilliant!”

Stuart has been married for nearly twenty years. He has two children, a superman outfit and a spiky haircut.

Stuart is one of the busiest children’s authors around. His current book reading tour has seen him reading to over 250,000 children throughout the world, including book events in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, India, Hong Kong and Australia.

Stuart’s uniquely entertaining readings are wild, wacky, crude, rude and hilariously fun for everyone involved. There are plenty of bogies, farts and false teeth flying. And because he talks to little people a lot, he has developed the ‘Ninja Signing Stance’, in order to come down to their eye level.
