Un breve racconto davvero dolce e ricco di magia natalizia. Il burbero intagliatore Jacob vende i suoi oggetti in legno al mercatino e tutto ciò che vuole è guadagnare abbastanza e rimanere per conto proprio. Ma deve fare i conti con l'entusiasmo dell'affascinante Celyn che con il suo sorriso e il suo modo di fare cerca di trasmettere la magia del Natale e sciogliere il cuore di Jacob. Poche pagine, ma deliziose e piene di glitter ❤️

The use of the 12 days of Christmas worked well with each interaction between the two guys allowing them and us to get to know each other. I still would hav liked a little more but still enjoyable

This is a sweet novella that I finished in probably 45 minutes. There’s no steam, but some sweet kisses!

Jacob is a shy 35 y/o wood carver looking to make some Christmas jingle at the Cardiff Christmas market. He’s been a regular in the stalls there for years, and has a pleasant routine. It’s all upset when his regular market neighbor is replaced by “Mr Sparkles”, AKA Celyn, a Welshman whose cheer and cheap tat keep the customers pouring in...

Jacob wants to hate Celyn’s easy way of chatting and bonding, but he’s bowled over by Celyn’s sheer joy and holiday spirit.

Expect dragons, glitter and a grump-turned-giver. Their brief rivalry is all one-sided and charmed into love.

Perfect Christmas short story that left me with a huge smile. There is an event for Jacob every day of the twelve days leading up to Christmas brought about by Celyn. I loved Celyn's unrelenting enthusiasm for Christmas, life, and Jacob. No matter how much of a grinch Jacob is Celyn keeps chipping away. There were a few laugh out loud moments and a super sweet ending.

4,5 STELLE - RECENSIONE DI SKYE

Sono una grande fan di questa autrice. Solitamente i suoi libri sono i miei comfort-book, mi portano sempre in un mondo pieno di amore e calore e anche questa novella dai risvolti natalizi non è da meno.

In queste pagine i protagonisti sono Jacob e Celyn, due uomini completamente diversi. Tanto burbero e scontroso il primo, quanto solare e scintillante il secondo.
I due sono vicini di bancarella durante il mercantino natalizio e mentre Jacob trova Celyn irritante, quest’ultimo trova il bel intagliatore davvero interessante.

Mr. Sparkles dei miei stivali, al contrario, doveva essere un estimatore del pacchiano e cercava di attirare quella fascia di clienti un po’ squattrinati, visto che aveva appeso un cartello enorme nel quale si diceva che tutto costava una sterlina.

Cosa succederà dopo 10 giorni di vicinanza? Riuscirà Mr Sparkles a sciogliere il cuore del burbero Jacob?

On the Grinch vs Elf scale, I like to think that I'd fall somewhere on the elf side of middle but even my love of everything holidays could tire of Ceyln's, well lets go with "energy"😉😉. However, sometimes one just needs that extra dose of giddyness that Ceyln possesses to truly find the holiday spirit and that's what Jacob seems to need. Mr. Sparkles is a deliciously delightfully fun short read jam packed with everything that makes the holiday magical.
