Princess Pulverizer #6

The Dragon's Tale

Rate this book
Princess Pulverizer may not be a knight yet, but she won't let that stop her from saving the day!

Princess Pulverizer dreams of becoming a knight. Dribble the dragon, a companion on her Quest of Kindness, dreams of becoming a chef. So he's thrilled when he gets the chance to open a pop-up restaurant in the village they're visiting (though he has to stay hidden, since people are still pretty scared of dragons). But a jealous juggler isn't pleased with their arrival, and mysterious problems begin to arise. Villagers feel sick to their stomachs, then a barn burns to the ground--and Dribble is blamed! Can Princess Pulverizer help her friend before things go up in flames?

Princess Pulverizer, Dribble, and Lucas are trying to sell some cheese sandwiches in Beeten Wheeten but everyone refuses to buy from them because they are scared of Dribble. They come up with a new solution, but someone is intent on getting them out of town. They can't leave yet, though, because someone is making the town sick and Princess Pulverizer can't turn down a chance to do another good deed.

This adventure tackles the topics of judging someone based on their appearance and not character, as well as the very important global issue of access to clean water. This wasn't as funny as some of the other Princess Pulverizer books, but I do like the progress in Princess Pulverizer's character and Lucas' character. Recommended to upper lower grade readers or middle grade readers who love fantasy quests.

I love how realistically Princess Pulverizer, Lucas, and Dribble keep learning and growing!

To cheer up Dribble, Princess Pulverizer comes up with a way that he can sell his cheese sandwiches without scaring people away. But a misunderstanding turns the whole town against Dribble, and Princess Pulverizer and Lucas must find a way to clear his name.

4.5- this one has a unicorn! And some prejudice issues, but once again, Princess Pulverizer and the rest of the team are on the job to make life better, even if it gets a little messy along the way.

These are still cute, but I don't think this one was quite as engaging as the others. Although it did make the kids more excited to read the unicorn book (the next in the series).
