Rhys has stayed in NY after “The Hand” was taken care of. There was nothing to go back to. Now that he and his other mates are not part of the Lost Breed they are taking it easy. That is until Quinn came to see him in NY.
Max was Quinn’s brother and Rhys best friend. He was a casualty of The Hand. Quinn misses him but life goes on. She works in a tattoo parlor with her best friend Nancy. They need help as Kyle, Nancy’s boyfriend is a mean man who needs to be dealt with.
Can Rhys help and then forget Quinn?
Another great read in this series. The characters are fun to read about and we learn about the baby for Dani and Ryder which the timing is still off a bit in the story. But again the series is fun.
The story of Rhys, a former prez of an MC in Chicago and now a member of the Lost Breed and the woman he left behind, Quinn, is my favorite and best one yet....hands down in my opinion. We knew that Rhys was running away from something and now we get his full story, the death of his best friend, Max, that still haunts and Quinn, Max’s younger sister who he is still in love with. When Quinn finds him in N.Y. she comes asking for help and even though months have gone by, the two still love each other and can’t help falling into each other’s arms, once again. But Rhys is still dealing with his demons from the past and after he helps Quinn with her problem, will he be able to move forward with Quinn beside him. An amazing read with steam, blood, some suspense, some action, heartbreaking stories and a love that never died. I LOVED these two especially Quinn, she was one kick a** woman who knew what she wanted and wasn’t a whiny little girl or a bi*** to Rhys, even after everything. She was mature and handled everything beautifully and didn’t hold a grudge...LOVED her. Rhys may have been stubborn but he didn’t turn his back on Quinn and was there for her when she needed him...LOVED him. I loved their story and could have kept reading about these two, their banter, their sparks, their love...perfect ! *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
This author always delivers gripping suspense, fantastic chemistry and well developed characters that are interesting and engaging. The characters are developed and easy to like. The plot was interesting and not one I have come across before. The book is really well written with great main and supporting characters. The book is packed with chemistry, suspense, hot-headed individuals and fantastic surprises! This Author did another fantastic job with this book and I would highly recommend this to all.
"I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book."
This is sort of a second chance romance but not like the others I've read. Rhys and Quinn aren't apart for years, just several months. I was happy that this book was safe, which is never a guarantee with these authors. I will probably never get over Ryder's book. It was basically as opposite of safe as can be. This book was a nice change from the unsafe books in this series. In this book, there's no cheating or sex with other people or lusting after other people. Neither main character was trying to get over someone else or anything else that detracted from the main relationship or made the book unromantic.
It was also cool to read the story of one of the new guys - the sort of transplants from Chicago who helped with the creepy evil Reed guy. The new guys feel more meshed together now, and I loooove makeshift families, which is what draws me to MC books. I love the closeness and the brotherhood and people choosing their family. The ending was really awesome, too.
I wasn't crazy about the drawn out relationship debate. I guess it's understandable that Quinn just wouldn't leave Chicago permanently right away, but it was near the end of the book before their relationship was solidified, and it still wasn't what I expected or hoped for. I got the sense they were a permanent couple, but I wanted marriage or a proposal or something. Not even being engaged makes the relationship seem not as serious as it should feel in a book with an HEA.
I might have teared up a little about the baby's name. Overall, it's a pretty good book. It's definitely not a standalone, though, so you would need to read all of previous books in the series first. And those books are not safe. I can't remember which are tolerable in that regard and which ones are not, but the first was probably the worst. I only kept on with the series because there were some good parts and I hoped the other books would be safer. I didn't always get that, but I did with this one. So, I do recommend this book but only if you think you can get through the books before it that have unsafe elements in there, sometimes pretty bad ones.
Each book in the Lost Breed MC series keeps getting better and better. Rhys, the leader of the Red Rogue, helped the Lost Breed take the Reed brothers, who had destroyed his Red Rogues MC. Rhys and his fellow MC brothers, Liam, Owen, and Aiden, decide to leave their life in Chicago and join the Lost Breed MC in New York. Rhys feels tremendous about of guilt over fellow MC brothers and his best friend, Max Connolly being killed. Quinn Connelly, Max's younger sister, is a tattoo artist in Chicago. Quinn gets a call from her best friend, Nancy, to come and pick her up at a club when her abusive and drunk boyfriend, Kyle, wants to drink and drive. Quinn and Nancy go to New York to enlist Rhys' help to get Kyle to back down after he shows up at Quinn's apartment drunk and roughs Quinn up. Rhys is angry when he learns Kyle put his hands on Quinn. Quinn and Rhys had a secret romance while he was President of the Red Rogues, and Rhys feels so much guilt over Max's death that he left Quinn and Chicago behind. Can Rhys protect Quinn and Nancy from Kyle and his friends? Will Rhys overcome his guilt and realize that his future is with Quinn? Can Quinn get Rhys to finally open up about what happened the night Max died? Rhys by Ali and Weston Parker is another fantastic book in the Lost Breed MC series. The chemistry between Quinn and Rhys is off the charts HOT! There is no doubt the love that Quinn and Rhys feel for each other, but they need to decide if they want to be together or not. This book is contains intrigue, violence, danger, and passion. I would highly recommend getting Rhys by Ali and Weston Parker. I received an ARC of this book, and I am leaving my honest review.
Ali Parker really knows how to compose a series that just gets better with each book! Eight months previously the Reed Brothers destroyed the Red Rogues MC and Rhys helped the Lost Breed MC to eliminate the Brothers. He subsequently, with Owen, Liam and Aiden have joined the Lost Breed and they now follow Ryder who is the President in NYC. But his best friend Max died back then and he blames himself for his death. prior to that he and Max's sister, Quinn, had been in love but he felt he wasn't worthy of her and he walked away much to her dismay. But she needs his help and he can't refuse her anything. I loved Quinn and Rhys as they were just meant for each other. It was understandable why Rhys blamed himself even though he wasn't to blame. When her best friend Nancy has major trouble with her drunken boyfriend, Kyle, and he attacks Quinn she calls for Rhys and he comers straight away. But can he get Kyle to stay away forever? Do Quinn and Rhys stand a chance of a HEA. Ali Parker just knows how to make me feel as if I almost 'know' her characters as they are so well developed and described. I love the fact that there are reoccurring characters and you get to see how they are continuing in their own HEAs too. So well written that this perfectly illustrates why she is one of the USA's best selling authors. Love this story!!!!! I received a reader's copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. MOST DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED. A great story and series!!!!
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the seventh book in the Lost Breed MC series. In this book, Rhys is confronted with the loss of his friend Max and members of his MC back in Chicago that led to the remaining members of his MC to leave for New York and join Ryder's MC the Lost Breed. Rhys and Max were best friends and Rhys was in love with Max's sister Quinn. After Max was killed, Rhys blamed himself and wanted revenge. Now it is eight months later and Rhys has not moved on. Quinn is still in love with Rhys and misses him. When her friend Nancy gets in trouble with a boyfriend, Both Nancy and Quinn are threatened. Quinn decides to ask Rhys for help. Rhys goes to Chicago and confronts Nancy's ex-boyfriend Kyle and tells him to stay away from the women. Rhys and Quinn still have a connection and Rhys knows he has to go back to New York or he will hurt Quinn even more. When Kyle continues to threaten the women, Rhys and some members of the MC go to the rescue and take Quinn and Nancy back to New York, but Kyle follows. Quinn and Rhys love each other and they have to find a away to either move on or be together. I love this series and thought Rhys's book was emotional. I think Rhys needed to reveal details about Max's murder and he needed to realize it wasn't his fault. I loved Rhys and Quinn together and thought they really were in love. Another great one from this series.
Rhys is the seventh book in The Lost Breed Series and is a part of The Lost Breed MC Box Set (Books #1 - 10). I binged this series back-to-back and found a dark MC romance series with all the ingredients needed to make for engrossing reading. Everything from action, violence, revenge, intrigue, drama, danger, tension, bad boys, high stakes, emotion, chemistry, steam, suspense, challenges, angst, family dynamic/drama, sweet and tender scenes, vulnerability, passion, band of brothers, sinister foes, agendas, secrets, and more. And with all the tropes that we know and love like opposites attract, second chances, protective Alpha-type males, damsels in distress, chosen family, ride-or-die, finding love unexpectedly, single parent, risking it all for love, redemption, eye for an eye, romantic suspense, and good girl/bad boy ---- just to name a few. This was such a great introduction to the author’s work, and even though this is my first time between her covers, it certainly won’t be the last. If you love MC romance and all the sexy, intriguing, suspenseful details that come with a band of bad boy finding their ‘one’- then this is definitely the books/series for you. Happy Reading…
I am so glad that Ali Parker and Weston Parker decided to expand their A Lost Breed MC Romance series, because I have loved reading every one of them, and this one is definitely not an exception. MC books are not usually one of my favorite types of romance books, but this changed with the first book in this series. In these books, you still have the grittiness of a MC, but you can also see the other, more romantic, sweeter side of the members too. Rhys, had left Chicago and Quinn behind, and came to New York, after almost his whole club, including his best friend, was killed by two very evil brothers. He has now joined The Lost Breeds. Then, Quinn shows up in New York, needing his help. Quinn might need his help, but she is one strong, bad, female. From there, the story is one that pulls you right into it, all the way to the end. I did not want it to end, so I am so glad there are still a few more to go in this series.
Wow this series is getting better and better. We finally get to see the need guys and truly appreciate and understand what they went through before monolith Ryder. This one is about Rhys and Quinn. Two people have one person in comments by gates he was killed. They both went through that hard and each handled in differently but in the end they found their way back and knew that it would and could work if they just have in. I can't wait to see what happens with rest of his old crew. Another amazing book. Keep them coming!!! I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy.
RHYS (A Lost Breed MC Romance) By Ali Parker and Weston Parker I love this series of MC books. Ali and Weston have a gift for creating a wonderful book world for us. Rhys is the latest in this series of books and this is a second chance romance book. He is the former president of the Red Rogues in Chicago. He has joined with Ryder and the Lost Breed in New York City. He has had his world imploded with the dead of his best friend Max 8 months ago. Quin, Max's baby sister and her best friend run into serious trouble and Quin has to call Rhys for help. He has never stopped loving her or her him. This was an excellent book, definitely 5 stars.
Another smoking hot, fast-paced read from the talented Ms. Parker. This book has it all, obviously action-packed and full of danger and suspense, there is angst and guilt aplenty to offset the sizzling desire and deep-seated love. Once again we are reminded of the close-knit "family" an MC can be. The characters are real and relatable and the storyline flows smoothly and effortlessly with deep feeling and sexy scenes to whet your appetite for the eventual happily-ever-after. I loved revisiting the rest of the club whilst becoming more intimately connected to the newest member. HIGHLY recommended!!
Fantastic addition to the Lost Breed MC. Guilt could either hold Rhys back from growing as a person, or it could show him what need to be changed in his life to move forward after the death of his best friend, Max. Its up to him to determine what path his going to continue on. Quinn may be his best friends little sister, and the woman he loves but he thinks she deserves so much better than him. There is a push and pull, back and forth between these two but their chemistry is amazing. There is a lot of angst, some danger, violence, and romance along this journey. This was an exciting, thrilling and passionate story.
One thing is for sure, Quinn can always count on Rhys to have her back. Rhys was her brother's best friend, and they were in the MC together. Rhys and Quinn have feelings for each other but because of her brother wanting better things in life for her, Rhys is torn between going after Quinn or staying out of her life. It tore him up when Max was killed so he left town leaving Quinn all alone. Now her best friend is having issues with her no-good boyfriend, and she calls on Rhys for help. Will he be able to solve the problem before they become victims of the permanent kind? I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
Rhys. I loved this book! This series is fantastic! I couldn't put the book down! The authors give you an exciting never ending suspenseful story. Rhys steps in to help Quinn, a past friend, from a dangerous guy named Kyle who was after her friend Nancy. Rhys and his boys handle the situation before Kyle can hurt Quinn or Nancy. Coming back together, Quinn wondered if her and Rhys could rekindle the love they once shared. This was a great read! *** I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else’s. ***
The reason why I chose this rating this was a pretty good book. I really enjoyed most of the characters. This was a book of compassion, keeping a promise at least trying, protecting the one you have fallen in love with, and also revenge. Rhys and Quinn they made a very, very interesting couple. But when it came to keeping her safe Rhys was right there. He traveled for 12 hours to get to work. I really enjoyed this book. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance readers and MC lovers.
Quinn knew Rhys when he used to live in Chicago and hanged around with her brother Max they used to hook up behind her brothers back, then Rhys moved to New York city. When Quinn's friend Nancy had a bit of bother from her ex she asked for help from Rhys. Quinn also rides a motorcycle and can drive just as good as Rhys and I love the fact that you have written a story that includes a lady motorcyclist and will be part of the MC. Totally loved this story thanks Ali can't wait for more Lost Bread MC romance stories 💛
I just loved Rhys and Quinn's story!! They were in love until the death of her brother and the guilt of it drove Rhys away from her until she needed help and she asked him and they realized they still loved each other and needed each other and couldn't live without each other. They had such a great story and were such a great couple!! I would recommend this book to anyone!!
This has been a great series to read and suggest you read all the books in order to get the full backstory on the club. Rhys and Quinn had been through so much together and had a past that had ended up separating them. Both are stubborn and strong willed but deep down knew they needed each other to heal. Their HEA was well deserved.
Hoping we will also get stories for Owen, Liam and Aidan!
Motorcycle club members who used to be bad guys, but not really, who are now the tough but good guys is a standard story line and this one is done well enough. There are a few minor errors, nothing distracting. The bad guys are despicable and it's satisfying to see what happens to them and the love story is a definite HEA. Good choice for adults as the are graphic parts.
Oh, yes. I love these types of books. Only this time the Hero is denying himself even though the best friend/brother has died. The chemistry between Rhys and Quinn was off the charts and you just knew that they had something worth fighting for. I'm so glad we got Rhys story and look forward to getting to know the rest of the new guys.
I really like the story I like getting to know the characters and the sequels they feel like people I would like to have in my life for me family is a big part of who I am and to read how it feels the same way it's my connection. Once again thank you for sharing your family with me.
So Weston siblings... thinking there has to be more to come. As a New Yorker ....please! So many characters/friends we love. The list is long. Dani having the baby. The wedding of Sabian, is Evelyn ok., Rhys friends, Nancy..... soooooo. More please.
A thumping good book, except for all the violence. Too many times the problem was solved by giving someone or someones a beat down, as if that would so!ve everything
The interplay of one President choosing to move to a new city, ruled by another MC club, headed by it's own President, would have been more interesting than the fighting spread over two cities.
Always gd solid characters and story but the oddness niggles me.
It is a strange MC. They have no clubhouse. No biker bunnies. They don’t really mention income. Oh and for such a ‘powerful’ MC there’s hardly any members. Where r the prospects and how come ppl r let in without prospecting? Odd.
Rhys and Quinn had a sad parting for quite a few months. Rhys feeling quilt because of his best friend (Quinn’s brother) being murdered and because he and Quinn had a secret affair. This book was so sweet and written so well. The events leading up to the end were very exciting. Recommend this book. Can’t wait for next in the series.
What a great read! This book #7 has it all. Action, suspense, love of friends and family and realizing the need to be open and honest with each other. Rhys and Quinn found their way back after many twists and turns. Hate to see this series end. Great job!
Another story in the lost breed series. Rys and Quinn. Both connected by the tragic loss of her brother. A lot of pain, but they eventually find their way back to each other. I love every book in this series and always look forward to the next one.
While this book was well written and good, it was not one of my favorite books in this series. I just wasn't crazy about the plot. There was plenty of romance and action and the characters were good. It just wasn't my attention getter.
