This book is very difficult for me to rate as I don’t read heavy erotic anymore. Yet this is more than “just that”.
My "personal preferences" would be around 3 stars.
Yet it would not be fair to the book and the way Nikki Sex chose to broach this topic, neither to what true fans of erotic would think. If you crave the genre you'd probably give it a 4,5 to 5 stars.
That's why I settle for 3,75 stars.
Here is the deal: I love Nikki Sex as a writer and as a person. She has a huge understanding of human nature and what makes abusers tick. She has an enormous respect and compassion for victims of abuse and is a fountain of wisdom for all things abuse related.
I kid you not as we’ve talked many times for years about these subjects!
I have read many of her books beginning with Abuse that I would recommend to everyone!
But if I have read some of her erotic books not one of those I’ve read so far is to be compared with this one.
My “problem” in this one was that it is so much more “heavy” than “light” erotic and the “role play” in the first sex scene is really raw and extreme.
Yet I think Nikki did a splendid job writing about what’s happening when a Dom who’s been repressed or ignored this side all his life gets to play with a sex slave. A real sex slave as in someone craving to please someone else and being really turned on by the other’s commanding side. In this particular scene what was hard for me to read is the absence of feelings (as in caring) and the Dom is let’s be honest behaving like a selfish man.
At the same time this is just perfect for Sofia, our sex slave as it’s what she’s been conditioned to crave!
I think my brain could simply not process how this could work so well.
I guess I am a rebel through and through LOL
Be warned: this is heavy erotic with lots and lots of triggers and very hard scenes and topics.
Because this is of course much more than heavy erotic or smut!
The purpose of the book is to be a thriller and highlight the depravity of sex traffickers! Nothing is untouchable for these sick people. They use all means to kidnap and force young women or even kids to be subjected to the abject needs of some rich and powerful of this world.
The whole plot is based on Sofia, former sex slave who could escape in a very dramatic fashion (opening scene worthy of James Bond if you had nudity in these movies LOL) a boat where she’s been imprisoned and abused for years alongside other victims. After years of therapy and thanks to the help of the infamous Andre Chevalier Sofia is now ready to infiltrate this ring in the hope of stopping everything and freeing the slaves. She wants the bad guys behind the bars!
What will you find in this book?
-Action (think about the escape scene with more to come);
-Romance (unexpectedly but still);
-Heavy very explicit and detailed sex scenes (keep the kids away from your screen and thank Amazon for the creation of Kindle if you are commuting, much more discreet than an explicit cover);
-Triggers, abuse, depravity of the riches;
-Torture and rape (you’ve been warned);
-Plot twists;
-André Chevalier (of course 😉).
If you are up to all the above then I would definitely recommend this one!

This book has triggers as it is about sex trafficking and the abuse that comes along with it. I almost fell out of my chair when I saw this book was based on true events. It made me love the characters even more. Sofia was amazing such a strong person. Andre well it's Andre love that guy!!! This book is full of sexy times, heartache, pissed of times, screaming times and happy times. As always Nikki wrote another great book!!

This was an engaging little book, part erotica and part thriller.
The erotica part is so-so. There are some good sex scenes, but they seem curiously... bland? There's little emotion behind the sex - except lust, of course, there's plenty of that. While Sofia and Nelson have a sweet romance, the sex seems like a contact sport that they're both really enthusiastic about. I could just as easily have been reading about two people falling in love over tennis.
The thriller is as good as any old paperback that you buy in the airport or the 2nd hand shop. It has dastardly villains, daring infiltration operations, time-running out... you know the drill.
But these two threads did not weave well together. I sincerely do not want to read about international sex crimes as a side plot in my erotica because thinking seriously about rape is a massive turn off (not to be confused with thinking fantastically about rape, which is a whole different thing). It was also disappointing that there was far more emphasis on the thriller than the sex in the second half of the book. Please don't market as erotica if there's hardly anything erotic for half the book. Maybe the author just lost interest? The sex scenes did seem to disappear along with the attention to detail: spelling errors, pronoun errors, waffling repetitions - all markedly more noticable in the final act.
And in the end, the whole book was ruined for me by the fate of Nelson's poor wife. She spends the entire book in captivity, trustingly waiting for him to rescue her, while he's out falling in love with Sophia. In order for Nelson and Sophia to get their HEA, she has to decide that she's too traumatised by the rape to ever endure the touch of a man. I can't really be happy for the two of them, when she's broken for ever. Sad, too sad.

Fantastic book! All of Nikki's Andre books are great, but Undercover is exceptional. My review is not a book report, you can read a synopsis elsewhere. These are my impressions. It is hot, smokin' hot. The sex scenes are many, detailed, and juicy. All of the characters are well developed, and realistic. You will love some and hate some. It's also a fast paced, action packed thriller. Undercover has it all, including many triggers for some people. But, if you love a hot, sexy, sexual, BDSM, D/s, hea love story-you will love this book as much as I did. One of the very best erotic romance novels of 2018.

What an amazing story. Learning that this story is based on truth is disturbing. The heroine was strong and determined to free the other girls and make their captors pay. Andre is quite a unique character and I love reading about him. This book makes me wonder why people always blame the victim and not the people who are actually the criminals. Nelson was a different kind of guy. He showed her love and understanding when she was telling her story.

Captivating
Andre does it again. Although the subject was difficult the triumph in the end was great. I love Andre this character can go on forever he has limitless possibilities for stories. His job as a sexual therapist is always interesting and thought provoking. I am looking forward to the next book with Andre in it! And the sexual descriptions are so hot! Loved it!

Andre.
It's wonderful reading about Andre, the psychologist and changer of lives. This book is very different from Nikki's other books starring the heartthrob. He plays a major part in this story, but more in the background.
What Nelson and Sofia went/go through is heartbreaking. But thank you, Nikki!! This is a masterpiece!!!

Captivating story based on reality
Could not put this book down. So much disturbing content but you could not help but love the main characters. HEA ending. I was drawn to this book because of Andre Chevalia Every book he’s in is amazing.

Suspenseful page turner

This book involves a very dark subject sex trafficking. This book is also full of triggers. If you can get past the first half of the book then you get to the main part of the story. The first half of the book was full of nothing but sex and not much of the story. Nikki Sex kept me on the edge of my seat turning the pages. In my opinion Nikki Sex knows how write about abused victims, but she is able to make them strong. Angel/Sofia has been through a lot and she has revenge on her mind. She puts a lot of things in motion and is not letting anything stop her. In my opinion Nelson is weak when it comes to his family, he refuses to stand up to them. Andre Undercover is based on real events, in my opinion Nikki Sex took the real events and made the story her own. As sad as this story is I found it a little empowering.

I was introduced to the writing of Nikki Sex through a friend. I miss him but have great memories.
Stunning as this story is, as romantic and sexy as it reads, one thing still rages in my brain. Human trafficking exists even today. Where are the real super powers who can rid the world of such a scrouge?
Anyone with a healthy interest in sex and or BDSM should enjoy these books!

Andre Undercover is a dark, dangerous and gripping read about a serious subject--sex trafficking, and it was utterly impossible to put down. It gets 5 stars from this reader.
This novel opens like gangbusters, with the heroine, Sofia, racing naked to jump overboard the luxury vessel she's been aboard, as a captive, and willing to die rather than spend one more minute as a sex slave on the plush ocean liner where she and many other girls and women who'd been abducted lived a nightmare of sexual abuse, degradation and even death, without hope of rescue, because this ocean liner never docked, it stayed in international waters, and the extremely wealthy men who were serviced aboard it arrived and left unseen, unnamed and unrepentant, but ready to indulge in their sickest and most depraved sexual desires and fantasies once aboard.
Sofia makes her escape and miraculously survives her ordeal, eventually finding her way to Nikki Sex's fascinating recurring character, the brilliant psychoanalyst, sex therapist, and Dom, Andre Chevalier, and after years of therapy, Sofia is ready and willing to fulfill a promise she made to another captive she befriended aboard the vessel, to come back, free her and the other women on board, expose and bring down this horrific enterprise, and make those responsible for this nightmare pay for their crimes. She certainly never expected to fall in love in the process of fulfilling that promise, but she does.

A book of two halves
Another of Nikki Sex's trademark erotica combined with a crime drama or some other series of events that require Monsieur Chevalier's efforts to resolve. But this one did seem to be two books turned into one. Possibly due to the horrific subject matter, the two halves off the story did not merge well.
Personally, not my favourite, but still a compelling read.

Oh Wow!
This book is a roller coaster ride of emotions; I was excited to hear Andre' was going to be in a new book. Nikki Sex really knows how to write accurate and detailed books that really have an emotional attachment to them. Unfortunately the sex trade is very much real and so many people lives are destroyed because of it. Looking for r to more future books and hopefully audio versions as well.

No words!
There are no words to fully describe how completely enthralled I was in Andre' Undercover. So many emotions, so many feelings involved to make not only a sexy story but one of intrigue, corruption, abuse of power and a horror that could easily be in today's headlines. Can't wait for the next installment into that special world of (ahh) Andre'.

Speechless
Based on real events......love Nikki’s character Andre Chavalier. A lot of this book is hard to read but it is a good story. Loved the characters and twists in this book. Will be looking forward to reading more.

Wow, this is such a great & intriguing story. It is well written and well told and captivates you from start to end. I’ve said this for her other stories and it applies here as well, no one does BDSM and kink like Nikki Sex. She is the master of scening and mindset. But this book is so much more then that, she takes you even further, into the depraved world of human trafficking where girls (and boys) are kept as sex slaves taught and conditioned to please. Andre as usual is a star here, I just love this character. And Sophia is a superstar, the strength to survive, heal and go back to that world to rescue others and for justice. This story offers a lot of drama, twists, suspense and hot kink. It is heart wrenching to know human trafficking is real and happens all over the world. It is disgraceful what money can by in the land of wealth and luxury. Nikki Sex, thank you for this great story and for shining a light in to that dark world.
I listened to the Audible edition, Guillaume Dubois is wonderful narrator and voice performer. He brings the characters to life, gives them their voice and personality. He put a lot of heart in this story and oh my, his Andre is swoon worthy! He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thanks for a great listen🎧

I enjoy Nikki Sex books. She writes hot, steamy and twisted stories. In most of her stories, Andre is a counselor helping others rekindle a flame, or find love. In this book, he is helping Sofia uncover a sex traffic ring. Knowing this was based on some facts made this book so real. I was happy Andre finally found his forever. He has helped so many others. But to get there was the fun. This story is filled with twists and turns. But as Nikki's books are, it is on fire.
Guillaume Dubois narrates this story. I swoon over his accent for Andre. But that same accent is not detectable when he narrates other characters. I enjoy his female voice. It is smooth and easy to listen too. He brings out the best of Sofia in this book. Mr. Dubois certainly can help turn up the suspense and heat. I loved this narration,

Love, Love, Love André Chevalier
On a personal note I would love to have André as my PTSD Therapist. No matter what I do it's the PTSD Symptoms that keep me messes up. I'm also a submissive so His line of treatment would work well for me.
Anyway, how freaking brave was Angel/Sofia? Unbelievable!!!Her treatment took a while but when she was ready, revenge was first on th plate. The scenes were great & the love story intense.

On a personal note I would love to have André as my PTSD Therapist. No matter what I do it's the PTSD Symptoms that keep me messes up. I'm also a submissive so His line of treatment would work well for me.
Anyway, how freaking brave was Angel/Sofia? Unbelievable!!!Her treatment took a while but when she was ready, revenge was first on th plate. The scenes were great & the love story intense.

So many crazy things happen
Wow! I'm always amazed at how these stories featuring André turn out. This one had so many things going on. I have to say that Angel is one bad@$$ chick!!!! There's hotness overload in this story and many other disturbing stories about women being violated in horrible ways. It's definitely not for the faint of heart. It's very well written, however. I really enjoyed Nelson as well. He and Angel matched up well together. I can't even begin to start on all that happened in this book. Just read it and find out for yourself.

A truly enraptured story so unbelievably true
Once you pick up the book its a deep dive into depravity, duplicity and unbelievably tragic examples of intense gaslighting. This book takes you on a journey that is totally gripping. Takes you and throws you around like the craziest of rollercoaster rides. The book is difficult to put down. It's a shame that such privileged rich folks find ways to use their wealth for evil. When it could easily heal the world and resolve suffering that is unimaginable. Extremely well written and a nail bitter for sure!
