Book 3 in the series and the third Kensley brother! Despite the long wait for this one I was more than happy to delve back into the world of these handsome, powerful brothers.
Alistair is the oldest of the Kensley brothers and is quite comfortable with his place in the company. As Head of Acquisitions he’s never failed to secure a deal. But when his latest assignment in Texas takes an unexpected turn, he suddenly finds his whole world turned upside down and his perfect record at risk.
Chloè has absolutely no interest in selling her land to the world famous Kensley family. The land has been in Chloe’s family for years and as a proud Native American she refuses to give up the one thing that means the world to her. But when she comes face to face with Alistair, or should that be shotgun to face, she gets much more than she bargained for.
Great romance read with a good plot line and well developed characters. I enjoyed this book and thought it was a good edition to the series. Can’t wait to read about the last two brothers to find love 💗

She pointed a gun not only at him but at his brother as well!
I love this series. Each book stands alone and overlap each other a little. In this one the oldest of Mr. Kensley's adopted boys, Alistair, is trying to acquire land for the company. In his first attempt to talk to the land owner he is attacked by a cougar cub and shot at close range.
Chloe has spent her life feeling like she has to fight to keep what is hers due to her mixed heritage. She is half Apache and always having to prove she belongs. When Alistair shows up all she can think is he is huge compared to her but she won't let him have what is hers.
This is a must read to find out how much Chloe challanges everything that Alistair thinks he knows and what kind of fire is between them.

This is not the first book written by Ms Lane that I have read and it won’t be the last. I do enjoy her style. This is the story of Chloe and Alistair, a mismatched pair in personality and appearance. Alistair’s father has set up their meeting and love blossoms. I was put off a little by typos and grammar errors. Such things as four weeks passing then she finds she is 3 weeks pregnant? Still a good read!

It was really sweet and funny the way Chloe would argue with him, and shooting at him that was a shocker. They make such a cute couple. Love how mr. Kensley is playing match,aker, now we just need Lucas and torshimo to finish out the boys, great books.
