Great read. I don't read mfm's very often as I always worry about the jealousy and one person feeling left out, but this was written great. Absolutely loved it.

This one was definitely not a favorite as you can tell by my rating. Sadly, there was just much too much unrealistic nonsense in this fairy tale adaptation.
I'm not one for love triangles in the first place but this could've been better executed had Faye given a moniker of thought or sense to this story.
Again, there is no mistaken that Faye's books are mainly all steam, filled to the brim with naughty bad boys and sexy times. I am all for that! But is it really that difficult to give your readers something that is somewhat logical?
This was my biggest issue with "Once Upon A Scandal" compared to the others in this series.
I can handle insta-lust, insta-love etc... but insta-stupid is just a huge turn-off.
I know I'm in the minority by giving this book a low rating but seriously... it would be unconscionable to do anything other.
What made the other books swoon were the characters and the bonds between them that brought them into each other's paths. The scenarios were plausible not impossible!
This book was just beyond ridiculous overload.
Even though it fell way short for me there were things I liked.
For starters, I loved Vi, whom we met in book #5 and her rags to riches story line.
I also loved Prince Shane much more than Prince Adam. I think Shane put out a much more sexy vibe for me than Adam. But besides my preference I was intrigued by this connection they shared.
I'm also very curious about Oren, King Rian's Captain of the Guard who has all sorts of sexy stamped over him. Yum! Can't wait for his book!
What I wanted more from this triangle was chemistry. I didn't feel that with these characters together. Yeah, the sexy times were hot and written well enough but I wanted more fairy godmother magic.
Well, perhaps I was expecting too much.
Anyway, this was a bit of a disappointing novella.
But turning the page on this I really need Oren's story!

Madison Faye delivers another hit and a must read novella! Once Upon A Scandal was a dirty, sexy, naughty little story that lit up my kindle and completely stole my heart. This book and this trio were worth every moment and I just couldn't get enough before the pages quit turning.
Vi, Adam and Shane were everything and from the moment I met them... the fire was scorching hot and totally unforgettable...undeniable.
Madison never fails to deliver the most perfect alphas and these two princes definitely are that...and some. You cannot miss this story or the way Madison Faye has with her words.

Once Upon a Scandal is the sixth book in the Royally Screwed series, and I loved it! This is definitely my second favorite in the series. My absolute favorite is Royal Brat.
Adam and Shane were deliciously alpha, and didn't hesitate to go after what they wanted.
Vi was sassy, and fit the two brothers perfectly.
In true Madison Faye fashion, this is a quick naughty read, mixed with sweetness and a big does of Insta-goodness!

Once you think this series it over, it continues on and on... but I really like that about this smexy Royally Screwed series!
King Rian needs to find his Queen for sovereignty sake so he throws a 'frivolous'' mask ball to find her and boy does he find her!
King Rian's Oren-- Captain of the Royal Guard will be next with "Royally Screwed #7" in January, 2019!

What I didn't like - They (Vi, Adam, and Shane) said multiple times they'd never did that before during the first encounter and it was just that they'd never had a threesome. Why keep repeating it if they were talking about the same thing each time? It had already bern established. The dirty talk was weird, cliche, and conceited/arrogant. It didn't really match their personalities. It wasn't that it was too explicit or too crass. It just sounded like bad porn dialogue. The stuff with Marta abd her daughters wasn't done well. It was way over the top.
What I did like - I like that the relationship between the princes and Vi was each of their first times in such a relationship snd first time with a threesome. I like the instalove in this book. It was done well. It isn't always done right in other books, in my opinion, and I really think it was in this one. Although of course this book is full of unlikely or unrealistic things, there were things that were very realistic that made sense to include and which are usually absent in this type of book. I know that's vague, but I'm trying to avoid spoilers. The ending was great and sweet, and the book even had a good ending sentence. I'm a huge fan of amazing last sentences.

This book is my first in the Royally Screwed series but definitely will not be my last, you can never get enough of what this book offers and i can not wait to read the rest!
Everyone loves a hot alpha, right? Well Madison doesn't just deliver one but TWO hot alphas in 'Once Upon A Scandal.' It's not just hot but sizzling with sexy scenes and thoughts, sharing is caring after all.
Vi doesn't have things easy with her home life so I totally admire her for how sassy and strong willed she is. Following her movements to get to the ball and the risks she takes made me just like her even more. Que meeting the princes and her character comes alive even more.
Adam and Shane are pretty irresistible with their dirty words and sexy actions. I liked that their own characters were developed and had their own traits, Vi liked that too ;)
I have never really read or thought I would enjoy a retelling but I am so glad Madison has proved me wrong on this.
Final Thoughts
This is a quick steamy read which I really enjoyed, who wouldn't when it involves two hot princes?!

This is number 6 in the series. We are getting Vi's story whom we met in the last book. Vi is Emilia's friend and baker for her stepfamily.
Vi is fun and loves to bake and get into trouble it would seem. She has a dirty mind and has a fantasy about the brothers Princes, Shane, and Adam before she even meets them. Which I find really fun to read.
Princes Shane and Adam are not looking for their princess activity. But they both know they want one princess. And yet they have never really tried anything with one woman. So when they see Vi at their friend's ball they both know she is the one. But will she be willing to take both of them on?
I loved this story. They are all great characters and the story is steamy but wonderfully written.

Good Read
I really enjoyed this story. It was a perfect length, not too long but not too short! The three main characters in the story were very likeable. I liked that Vi wasn’t a virgin and that nothing was mentioned about the princes prior sex lives. And even though it wasn’t mentioned they didn’t come off as disgusting manwhores. I enjoyed the plot and was intrigued by Rian and Emilia’s story, that is definitely my next read!

This is a freaking sexy hot take on a Cinderella story crossed with bad boys of royalty. This will keep you warm on a cool fall night! This is a standalone, but it is book six of a series. You can enjoy this book alone, but I am excited to try out some of the other books in the series to get to know more of the friends from this book.
The Princes of Nessa are out to enjoy a night of fun at their friend's expense. While King Rian is trying to find a Queen, the Princes Shane and Adam are out for fun, though they are finding themselves wishing for a woman to share their life. So when Vi sneaks into the King's royal ball and gets spotted by two handsome men, the baker finds herself in a very hot situation! I found this a witty and wonderful fairytale story with whimsical fun and hot men.
I think Shane and Adam are my favorite characters in this book. They aren't true blood brothers, but brothers who's bond formed due to circumstance and time and trust; leaving them brothers in the truest sense of the word. They've had their fun, and despite being Princes, have managed to keep their personalities alive and well and don't fit the stereotypical idea of royalty. So while they give their friend King Rian a hard time about finding a bride, they find themselves ready to move on to the next stage in their own lives. Vi is a young woman stuck in sucky situation, with only her best friend for company. She's a great pasty decorator, stuck as a cook in privileged home with no thanks for her efforts. Her backstory is a little short on details, but none of that matters when Shane and Adam see her across the ball. She's still a feisty and awesome woman, with lots of dreams for them to make true!
These characters turn the heat on your sexy oven all the way up. All. The. Way. Literally the stuff dreams are made of, at least for Vi! Shane and Adam are giving and considerate lovers. So while of course they have Book Boyfriend royal hotness on their side, they are also careful and respectful of their prospective paramour. Their words and actions set Vi off, and she responds to their charms.
I loved reading this book! It was a fun way to spend my Sunday afternoon. It was quick, and Ms. Faye was able to draw you in quickly. It was apparent early on it was a Cinderella story, but despite knowing the idea, it wasn't boring...how could it be with TWO hot princes! So it was a cross of two awesome story types, bad boy royalty and Cinderella. All the characters had witty dialogue, and well written personalities.
This book was a great read. Not just as a menage romance, but as a reminder to be yourself even in the face of adversity, and to take a chance on yourself. May we all end up as happy as Adam, Vi, and Shane! And I loved how this book set up Emilia and King Rian's story, and gave us bits about other characters that already have books-I love immersing myself in a good book family! I've already downloaded book one, and will be looking for book seven which I can only hope is Rian and Emilia's story.

Vi is a young woman stuck in sucky situation, with only her best friend for company. She's a great pasty decorator, stuck as a cook in privileged home with no thanks for her efforts. Her backstory is a little short on details, but none of that matters when Shane and Adam see her across the ball. She's still a feisty and awesome woman, with lots of dreams for them to make true!
These characters turn the heat on your sexy oven all the way up. All. The. Way. Literally the stuff dreams are made of, at least for Vi! Shane and Adam are giving and considerate lovers. So while of course they have Book Boyfriend royal hotness on their side, they are also careful and respectful of their prospective paramour. Their words and actions set Vi off, and she responds to their charms.
I loved reading this book! It was a fun way to spend my Sunday afternoon. It was quick, and Ms. Faye was able to draw you in quickly. It was apparent early on it was a Cinderella story, but despite knowing the idea, it wasn't boring...how could it be with TWO hot princes! So it was a cross of two awesome story types, bad boy royalty and Cinderella. All the characters had witty dialogue, and well written personalities.
This book was a great read. Not just as a menage romance, but as a reminder to be yourself even in the face of adversity, and to take a chance on yourself. May we all end up as happy as Adam, Vi, and Shane! And I loved how this book set up Emilia and King Rian's story, and gave us bits about other characters that already have books-I love immersing myself in a good book family! I've already downloaded book one, and will be looking for book seven which I can only hope is Rian and Emilia's story.

Vi and her friend Emilia want to attend the ball given for King Rian who is looking for his Queen. Through some ingenious artwork, Vi makes it possible to get into the exclusive event. The girls also figure out how to obtain proper ball gowns, sneaky but smart to take advantage of the step sister's vanity. Vi is the cook/baker in the household that used to be Emilia's home, until her father died and her wicked witch step mother and her daughters take over and turn Emilia into their servant. At the ball, Vi spots and gets noticed by two very handsome Princes, Shane and Adam. As soon as the trio connect, it's a very dirty, hot, sexy time as all three have felt a deep connection together as sparks fly and nothing else seems to be as important as their mutual lust. There will be problems, there is Emilia and Vi's living arrangements with the Step-mom-from-hell and the envious step sisters, along with the Princes who are looking towards being Kings in the near future. As an aside the Prince's friend is King Rian, and he goes missing just as Emilia does! There is also a little case of security Captain Oren who disappears without explanation, which I hope gets clarified in the near future with another book from the Royally Screwed series. This story is the fantasy that most girls dream about but 3X the fun.
I enjoyed this story and loved the HEA we are gifted with in the end.

This story is set up in the fifth book in this series; Filthy Ever After. I can be read as a standalone so there is no reason to read the other book (though I don’t know why you wouldn’t). If you have read this series before then you know what you are in for. Heat and steam, passion and lust; along with a wonderful story line; the perfect adult fairy tale.
This is the story of Vi, a kitchen worker who tries to give her best friend a gift that ends up pleasing them both. Using some discarded dresses, Vi and her best friend sneak into a royal ball and find more then the adventure they were seeking, they find love. Vi finds herself enveloped in a passionate night with two men. She finds herself in the arms of a Prince and finds out he has a brother. These princes, Adam and Shane have a particular taste; sharing!
I love when this author writes MFM stories, she nails them every time. This story is hot and steamy and full of passion and lust. I loved how this was a continuation of book five and how we get glimpses of past characters. I love this world the author has created and hope there are more stories in the future.

Vi and Emilia have been friends for a long time even though Vi's family has worked for Emilia's family for a long time. Now that Emilia's father is dead, they are suffering under the commands of Emilia's step-mother and step-sisters. They are worked like slaves but then they get a magical opportunity. The step-sisters' dresses for the match-making ball don't fit them but they do fit Emilia and Vi. After Vi forges a couple of invitations to the ball, the two are out for a magical night to see how the other half lives.
Vi runs into Adam and Shane the two McDermott princes. She doesn't want their attention but she has definitely caught their eye. After some challenging flirting leads to a passionate encounter, Vi runs in fear trying to hide that she is an unwanted guest at ball. Adam and Shane are determined to find her, their dream woman. Can a baker catch two princes?
This is a good hot book but it is better after you read book five. I voluntarily read a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

In this book we get Vi's story and what happened to her after she and Emilia went to King Rian's ball. We learn that Adam and Shane are looking for not 2 but 1 bride for them both. They first thought that it was a possibility but would probably never happen then they met Vi. They don't know who she is but are determined to find her. Vi knows that her wild time with the two princes she always thought were hot is just a one time thing right? There is no way they would want the baker not when they could have any princess in the land. Can they all find their HEA or will status really change things?
This is another amazing hit by this author. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Vi is a baker/cook who works for Marta and her daughters, Portia and Renata. She is best friends with Emilia who is the step-daughter of Marta who works as somewhat of a slave to Marta.
When Vi and Emilia find dresses they sneak into the ball that King Rian is holding. There Vi happens to meet two princes who get her heart racing.
When Vi learns that Shane and Adam McDermott like to share will she be ready for the extra heat in the kitchen?
This book is hot and I loved the little spin on Cinderella!
Vi was awesome and I loved how she and Emilia decided to use the dresses to their advantage. I liked how Vi was honest with her inability to chose between Shane and Adam and that's when things got Hot!!
I thought the showdown between Marta, Portia, Renata, Emilia and Vi was totally intense and heartbreaking at the same time.
I loved that Adam, Shane and Rian came to find the girls when they knew something was off!

Two royals and a baker....
A fairytale instalust short story with two royal princes, no less, and a forbidden fruit, or more precisely a baker..
I enjoyed this modern take on the Cinderella story and loved the humour interwoven onto the plot..I am not sure how I feel about the amount of recapping on the previous events and partnerships from earlier books..in some ways it was fun to go back and helpful in setting the scene, but it also seemed incongruous in the narrative, at times, and slowed the plot development of what was an otherwise fast paced short story..
The three main characters have their fair share of ups and downs along the way on their journey to their own particular kinky brand of an HEA and it was great fun seeing their story play out...I received an advanced copy of this novella from the author.

Once upon a scandal is book six in the royally screwed series. This story is short, fast paced and hot. I devoured this story in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. We briefly met Vi in book one as she is Emilie’s best friend. I liked this story. I truly wanted Vi to get her happily ever after and she certainly did.
The chemistry between Vi, Adam and Shane was clear to see and I really liked them together. The passion between them was through the roof. I liked that Adam and Shane didn’t care that Vi wasn’t royalty. They didn’t think they would meet a woman they connected with and who would agree to a ménage relationship. Overall, I enjoyed this story. I loved Vi, Adam and Shane.

I love this series. This is Shane, Adam and Vi's story, whom you met in Filthy Ever After. It takes place the same time as Rian and Emelia's story. This story is like Madison's other stories, hot and steamy, with some naughtiness on the side. Shane and Adam are two princes who are best friends, and brothers in everything but blood. They are also best friends to King Rian and are going to his ball where he is supposed to find his queen. Adam and Shane know they need to find women for themselves soon, they just didn't know it would be the same woman for them both. Vi is a baker and Emelia's best friend. When Shane and Adam see Vi, they know she is the one for them both. Their relationship is going to be scandalous. This was a good story with some great characters. I can't wait to read about Oren's story.
