When Landon's boss, Karen Stannard, is suspended pending the result of an inquiry, she holds Landon responsible. This makes for a degree of tension at Haggburn Hall, where they have both joined a dig to uncover evidence of an ancient cult devoted to the Shape-Shifter Morrigan, the deity of war.

I liked it, but hadn’t read earlier in the series, so didn’t really get a feel for the protagonist. Also all the important facts of the story were piled on at the end rather than woven through. I liked the premise of the archeology too, but didn’t really understand the story the finds told.
I hope another Arnold Landon mystery will soon be forthcoming. This last in the series will keep you every bit as enthralled as each of the previous novels have as the writer immerses you in the wonderfully exciting, well written and intriguing story.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading Murder at Haggburn Hall. There were many strains running throughout which did not detract from the main story line. A very enjoyable read.
Another great story in the Arnold Landon series and it is amazing that whatever project he is working on it appointed to that a dead body soon comes into the picture. Great characters and a good story line with a good ending. Looking forward to reading more.
Numerous stories may not hold a hard reading and understanding attention like this one may. It kept becoming interesting, where it is brilliant and clever.
Possibilities of the Celtic region group once settling in Ravestone may have a crucial imprint of another site of Haggburn Hall. Tension rises in Haggburn Hall where Landon, and Landon’s boss Karen Stannard both join in the dig to uncover evidence of ancient cults devoted to the Shape-Shifter.
