Confusion

I won’t lie, this box series was a good way to pass the time, but I found myself skipping paragraphs, if not pages, sometimes because I just wanted some sort of action to happen. I was thinking of buying the next set, but then I saw that there’s 15 books overall and I don’t think I have the time to commit nor the patience to read such a drawn out series I think I’ll give it a little break and see if I’ll come back and continue the journey.

One thing I did realize though is that the character names and theme is similar to another series that the author has written, The Mystic Series. In my honest opinion, I kind of find it a let down that there seems to be no originality when it comes to characters and the theme of supernatural. It’s possible that I’ve misread/misjudged since it’s been a while since I read the other series.

How to ruin a great story

This book set was very promising at the beginning. Then it was ruined by unlikable characters & stupid story lines. The premise is great. Too bad the author flubbed it royally. There is so much saccharine that the threat of diabetes & cavities is real. Everything is a superlative. Nothing is ordinary. How can I be expected to suspend disbelief if I'm gagging & vomiting in my mouth? Our intrepid heroine spends the bulk of her time crying, then the green eyed monster of jealousy is causing her to take unconscionably stupid risks. She's too stupid to live. Her love interest is a door mat waiting to have her muddy shoes wiped on him. He makes me want to puke.

I couldn't force myself to read past the middle of the third book. I'm done with this author.

Okay Story

Was okay especially the story of the main characters parents and started out great but some was repetitive which was actually getting on my nerves and the romance needs some work. I just felt like it was a bit much! Did have some okay bad guys! Not sure I will read the rest even though I hate not finishing a story.

Firstly, I am giving this series quite a low-ish ranking based on the OVERALL series. For me, book one would have easily been a 4/5 but from there it really just went downhill. I really feel bad because I truly did try to read it through but at the end of the day I don’t want to force myself to read something that is taking me days to read just because I keep drifting off and doing other things.

Book one was exciting; it introduced the characters, the story and was really just a book of wonder and constant questioning of “oh my gosh what's going to happen next?” and then book 2 started. Firstly, the cliffhanger was unnecessary and books 1 & 2 should really have been one book in general. Although by what I’ve also read in book 3, it seems that the entire series actually reads like a few larger books rather than multiple. I found myself skipping paragraphs - even pages because there was a lot of repetition and filling in between actual book development which I found boring.

I found the characters odd and the relationship between Layla and Quin was unsettling; it was just incredibly fast-paced and the MC was literally allowing a random guy to follow her home, take her so an isolated forest by himself, and urge her to move into a hotel and knows where her room is. I found certain parts kind of cliche; the gay best friend who is ever so “quirky” and the constant need for coffee because “she’s addicted”. It just seems to be something that is NOT my cup of tea and I wish that one day it will be edited and re-written.

The only reason why I really did enjoy certain parts were the bad guys - they seemed really well written and they may have had something going for them. Decently portrayed in some of the action scenes and I’d love to see more of these kinds of characters.

B.C. Burgess[book:Earth Angel: Books 1-19 When Covid ran through our World & we were told to stay Isolated l live alone & found my favorite author & the first series that l was reading while everyone else was upset by having to stay home I was off to a awesome place were things were not the same Shifters were real Dragons ( l fell in love with any story that had Dragons in it)"A woman who needs to search for anything that would connect her with some kind of a past family or friends who may have known her parents, to have a connection to some people from the time before she was born She felt she had to try that there was something more to her life & the clue she received from the lawyer had to add up to more. & when He walked into the coffee shop ! She knew there was something here that she had to find,to find her destiny. This series had me from the first page right to the end only my end was 1year ago & Now comes the best last 4 books out be4 the new year What a awesome way to end a hard year! Thanks again B.C.Burgess for a really good read, awesome series that I enjoyed from book 1 ( some days 18hrs of reading cuz l couldn't put the tablet down just needed to know what was happening next )

Don't bother. There is just enough storyline to keep some interest, but it reads as a continuous book, not five, and it has no end. You must buy more.

Also the majority of the books is kissing, fondling and general groping (though there is nothing overtly crude) with a little story dropped in to keep your interest. If the author would drop 95% of the groping and put an end to it, she could probably have a couple of good four or five star books.

This was such a great book, and then "Quinlan" had to go and ruin it. And yes, he's every bit as ridiculous as it sounds. Reading his lines was part hilarious, but quickly became partly disturbing, and partly creepy.

In the first few chapters I was really looking forward to following Layla on this great adventure, and it felt well paced and well worded compared to other free e-books I've tried. But in the end, free e-books tend to be free for a reason. Did not finish.

Absolutely awful! These books started out with so much promise but quickly turned to junk. There is so much teen angst, blech. The main character spends way too much time worrying about under wear. Under wear! Not only that, but it seems like when the author was at a loss for plot development they inserted a make out scene. If you take out those scenes and put everything remaining together, you might have a single decent book of about 200-300 pages, and that might be generous.

2.5

Individually they are not much; they are very short, no cliffhangers, and the narration is too simple. Together they become a book. At least there is an exponential build up to the narration.
Also “book 2” in my opinion was like a mandatory prequel because the reader doesn’t need to know the whole story about Layla’s parents and yet it is brought as book 2 of the series.

5 books flew past like a race

Very quick read. Great characters, good AND bad. Scenery vivid as a movie set in a million pixel LED screen. You'll root for the victims and cheer for the heros and the fall of the antagonists. I'm awaiting book 6 with the passion I dreaded the ending of book 5.

The cliffhanger are really annoying and that’s why I won’t read the next book in the Series. The books are not really separate books, it’s more or less one book and you can’t read one on its own.
Looks like a book has been randomly divided in several parts to make a Series and sell them separately.

Started off pretty decent. Then too much of the same. What she wears for the day. Her feelings/emotions are off the charts in every book. No one prepares her for danger. They are all too good and living in their own bubble to do nothing more than wring their hands and fret. Disappointing story development to say the least. And I read all 5 books!

Interwoven

Five books for free, cant beat it. When i started to read my initial thoughts were these could go anywhere. As you read from different perspectives its easy to keep track and see how they intertwine. A live story, a dark menace and some creepy sameness throughout.

Awesome read

If you liked Twilght and Harry Potter you will enjoy the first five books in the Earth Angel series. Covens of witches, multiple love stories, classic battle of good and evil

i enjoyed the books at the start

I enjoyed the books at the start but the constant neediness of Layla and quin started to annoy me by the forth book! I am intrigued to know what happens but not enough to continue with the series. It's would be to annoying

YA Romance/Action

Books 1-5 of Earth Angel certainly make you want to read the entire series. A fun read full of emotion, action, and romance. A page Turner that will keep you on pins and needles.

This is just awful. Horrible. Cliched characters, atrocious attempts at writing accents. I mean really? The gay best friend can only be productive while listening to show tunes? If hurtful stereotypes is your thing these are the books for you. If not, don't waste your time.

Sickly

I felt like I was overdosing on ice cream. It was far too sickly for my taste. There was too much emphasis on interactions between the two main characters. Not enough depth to the characters.

I loved it !!!

Emotionally intense at times, I laughed and cried. Beautiful story of love, hope, family and belief that love conquers all. Fantastically written. I brought the whole series and completed it in a week. I was engrossed from start to finish.

I actually really enjoyed this series- the books were too short and could have been 1-2 books should have made up one. However, I really liked the story line and the characters. There were a few scenes that made me emotional and that's what I want out of a book. I'm excited for the next book.

The descriptions are poetry about the love between a man and a woman. The paranormal aspects were interesting. Enjoyed the stories but at the same time felt the "scenes" took a little too long and drawn out.

This should have been a movie it's the best books I've read in a very long time. If this was a movie it would make so much money and I would buy them all. Looking to buy the books but unable to find a place to buy them from

I would like to give it 4 stars, yet almost gave it two stars. I enjoyed the storyline but the excessive sensual descriptions padding the series had me skipping half of the pages..

Could have benefitted from a little more copy editing, but the story is entrancing and I am invested in several of the characters.

Engaging story, but tiresome on repetitive and over-emotionality of protagonist.
