Felicity 'Flick' Hartford has drifted from one job to another, unable to carve out a decent career for herself due to her outlandish behavior, hot temper and a big mouth.
Finding herself unemployed again and having been served with an eviction notice on her shabby one bedroom apartment, she is presented with an opportunity that could solve all of her money worries and help her forge a better life.
A human auction.
Rich men. One night, and a huge chunk of money for each participant. It was supposed to be the easiest money she had ever made, except she wasn't prepared for her buyer to be a blast from her past.
Landon Devereux has Flick firmly in his sights. They have a history. She has a secret, and he has a score to settle. Landon will do whatever it takes to make sure that when that gavel comes down, she was auctioned to him.
She has always been a bookworm from an early age and says that her over active imagination and her passion for living within the pages of books, are what drives her to come up with such diverse storylines.
Residing in the UK, where the weather is often wet and windy, she loves nothing more than curling up with a coffee and a good book in her PJ's and take herself off into a fantasy world for a few hours.
I’m still debating what rating to give this book. There was a twist at the middle of the book that usually I would have hate it, but is was handle quite well. So I kinda liked.
Auctioned is my first read by author L.P. Rose. I loved the premise and the book had all the feels of a fun romance novel. I loved the main characters, Flick, Landon and Gracie, and the remaining cast, sans one, were likable. The mid way twist added to my interest in the outcome. The usual drama/angst was present, something I dislike, but recognize has to be there to keep the reader interested. One might think the reactions of one of the characters to the “secrets” held by another were probably weak, but they were not completely unbelievable when a love abounds. I suppose. The writing was ... different. The author used British expressions that even I had never heard, something that is okay with me because I love learning all things British. All in all it was a fun read, and I will be reading more by this author.
THIS WAS AN AVERAGE LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT BILLIONAIRE ROMANCE AND HONESTLY IT WAS SAFE, THERE WASNT ANYTHING PUSHING THE BOUNDARIES AND CAN BE CONSIDERED A LIGHT READ.
HERO has been searching for Flick, the woman he fell in love with after one hot night of drinking, fun, sex and matching tattoos. Imagine his surprise to find her 5 years later at the rich boys auction which he was forced to go and spent 1 million just to buy her time. The rest you can imagine from there when he tries to convince her that he is for real. Landon's character isn't very alpha, and there are times where I just wished he did explode in anger or smthn.
This book is the first one I read from this author. It was a different love story with a HEA and a bumpy road to get there. Landon is a sweet man who is sure of himself and what he wants. Flick is an independent woman with a big heart who takes pride in her efforts to work hard for what she’s got and wants. They have insane chemistry that seems to pull them towards each other. This book was fun to read and quite interesting, different. I will be looking for other books by this author, as I liked this one so much.
I really liked the idea behind this plot, which I'm not going into details as I don't want to let slip any spoilers, but I LOVED the twist in the middle and Landon is an absolute gent who obviously idolized Flick, because after what she did to him, he still chased her. I did find Flick's character a little grating at times, but I could totally understand her fear & frustration for not wanting Landon to know her secret.
This is the first book I have read by L.P. Rose and it definitely won’t be the last. When I tell you this book had all the feels in it ... your heart will be melting and your ovaries bursting!! There where so many surprises in this book. I loved it. Holy Hotness everyone wants a bbf like Landon. Felicity was perfect for him. This book was so good that I didn’t want to put it down. I hope the author will do a book for Ashton because I know it will be just as good and steamy!!!
As L.P. Rose is one of my favorite authors, I think she will soon become one of yours.
Auctioned is a delightful tale of two people, Soldier and Flick, destined to be together and the journey they each take to find and keep that once in a lifetime love. Follow along with them in this feel good tale as they struggle against the odds to be together with their four year old pixie of a daughter, Gracie.
I actually thought this book was well done I liked the fact that this story wasn't written with any relation to the woman selling herself for a BDSM club or to a Dom like the other Auctioned title stories I've read. I'm a single parent myself and could totally relate to Flicks fears, but I wish I had a real life Landon too.
I won a copy of this in a competition and I'm glad I did because I haven't come across this author before. It was a lovely romance with an HEA, likable characters and an easy read. I was expecting something dark and twisted but this was a pleasant surprise. Landon is a sweetheart and Flick makes the struggles of life so real, I could relate.
I have to say, it was such a disappointment, the way this author was treated. It was bad enough that she pulled her books from here and Wattpad and shutdown every social network account affiliated with her writing. She's an awesome person and an even better writer. I miss her, she deserved better.
This is the first book that I read of L.P.Rose and since then I’ve been hooked with most of her books. This book is full of twists and plots that you don’t want to miss out on any of them. I have enjoyed this book so much ❤️❤️ Thank you author for giving us some best books to read 😍🤗
2.5 stars A good read Not much fun. I think the story is not so believable. I mean , omg who takes such secrets with little to no shock or surprise or anything for that matter. Oh so unbelievable. Suffice to say the plot is not much interesting, boring and repetitive.
I absolutely loved this story!!!! Her writing is so beautiful. Once I start reading her books, I can't put it down, and will read the entire story all at once.
