Enter the vivid world of Steel and Fire, a highly addictive fantasy adventure. This set includes the first three books in the series, over 1,200 pages of swordplay, romance, and magic.
Dara Ruminor is a competitive duelist about to take the kingdom of Vertigon by storm. In a world where swords are used for sport and athletes live like kings as long as the crowds love them, all she needs is a wealthy patron to help her achieve dueling glory.
Instead, she gets Prince Siv, the heir to the throne.
She’s supposed to train with him, but it isn’t as easy as it seems. Handsome, charming, and utterly infuriating, he refuses to take the sport—or her—seriously.
But Prince Siv might not be learning the sword just for fun. As threats emerge from the shadows, with the careless prince as their target, Dara will have to raise her sword to protect him—but even her skill might not be enough to keep them both alive.
The ebook box set includes Duel of Fire, King of Mist, Dance of Steel, and an excerpt from City of Wind.

This is one of the best fantasy series I've read, and happily there's more to come. The characters are artfully developed, the settings are beautifully described, the storyline and relationships are complex, suspense is woven in throughout, along with laugh out loud snippets of humor that caught me by surprise. And even though the storyline continues, the ending of this trilogy left me wanting more, prompting me to check book four out of the KU library. I can't wait to get started.
I have read other series by this author. Love the setting and I wasn't able to guess the twists and turns of this plot. Plenty of intrigue and deception. The characters are super loveable and I hope to see more of the baby dragons!
Told from the two main characters POV, good world building and character development. Storyline and plot was very poor. I read 13 chapters and couldn't read anymore. The story remained static with no depth throughout the chapters I read. The Prince went to his lessons and Dara trained and trained. Maybe its a slow burn series where the depth, plot and action in the story is further along but 13 chapters is alot to read with nothing happening just the same in every chapter. The series has some good reviews but quite honestly not sure why.
I like the characters and the story, but I found myself skipping pages at a time to get to the story. Too many descriptions and filler events unrelated to the main story. I was shocked when it wasn't the end of the story at the end of the book. Some of the physical descriptions of women feel a bit sexist too. I'm not sure if I'll read the next book. If you like slower paced stories with action scenes, then this might be your cup of tea. The magic system is cool and the world is interesting.
I loved every word, every duel, every budding romance and all of the robust characters who came to life in this book. I was definitely whisked away to another world atop a mountain filled with fire where kings and queens reign supreme and magic flows through veins ready to tame the elements. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series...
This work is reminiscent of Anne McCaffrey. It had been a while since works of this nature were to be found for our reading pleasure. I look forward to the next chapter of this wonderful tale.
These three books were very interesting. The books were full of one adventure to the other. Be it Siv’s or Dara & Vine’s. I just couldn’t put the book down. Looking forward to the rest in the series
This is not boring, it is an easy read but at the same time keeps you captivated by the story. The characters are easy to love, I love the love hate relationship they main characters have.
