Well, S.E. Rose penned another twisty story that kept me on the edge of my seat with Determination. It all starts when Jesse Ryder is stranded on an island due to a storm, and he meets a pop princess, Vanessa Tourney. They spend time together, and find a chemistry that won't be denied so sexy times follow, which light the sheets on fire. When it's time to leave, they make a date for a couple months later, but find that they can't get each other out of their heads, so all bets are off. However, Jesse has someone after him, which puts Vanessa in danger, but guess what, she also has someone after her. Both these dangers mesh together, so the twists are coming out of the wood work. So my f-bombs are dropping like crazy as well. And that means the cast of secondaries are made up of the good, the bad, and the very ugly, so I'm becoming suspicious of everyone at this point. Now, all of the chaos is marching me to the finale, and it's so shocking, because I NEVER saw it coming, so the fabulous Ms. Rose got the drop on me, and by the time I was done, it took forever to get my heart to stop racing. I LOVE this series, and I hope there's more to come! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Determination is my first read for S.E. Rose and it was a bit of a mixed bag for me. There were a few references to events that happened in the earlier books that I was oblivious to. That didn't really bother me except that it was the same bad guy causing problems in this one and I was missing some of the connections.
That being said I like Vanessa and Jesse. They were both independently successful and lonely. It was a random twist of mother nature that they met, but from the first look, there was no denying their attraction. I enjoyed how hard and fast they fell. And as the danger around Jesse mounted, how he vowed to keep her safe, no matter the cost.
As the pieces of the puzzle started to work themselves out, and more players got involved, the danger only grew. And that was my favorite aspect of this story- the suspense. It kept me guessing what was going to happen next.
Around the world and back again, Jesse and Vanessa's story was nothing short of a dangerous adventure. At times, I found there was a lot of repetitiveness in both characters thoughts and words. And, if I'm being completely honest, there was too much sex too. Shocking, I know but that's my opinion. Overall, this book was ok. I feel that if had read the other books in the series first, things would've clicked a bit more for me while reading Determination.

Suspense, action, and lots of sexy times. While this book is part of a series, it reads as a stand-alone. The story is from the hero’s POV, and he is part of the family that the entire series revolves around. The hero, Jesse, meets the heroine, Vanessa, at an island resort and it’s insta-lust turned insta-love. The network of bad guys from the previous books are back at looking for data discovered in the previous book. There are a lot of moving parts happening in the story, and some characters, specifically the security guys play a much bigger role than what is initially described/expected.
The author found an interesting and heartfelt way to connect these characters in their past and provided quite the little plot twist. There are some interactions that had me questioning the change in the heroine’s attitude, but then that little twist explained it all.
Side note, there is group of security guys that introduced in this book and will play a part in the next book (maybe) as well as two of Jesse’s friends. The setup is there for potential future spinoffs.

Can I just say I love the Portentous Destiny Series so much. Determination is a fabulous read. I love the mystery, adventure, suspense and love all thrown into one book. Jesse and Vanessa are destined to be together. I love the little connections in this one. Vanessa is one tough cookie that's for sure. Jesse knows the drill since his family has been targeted (and featured) in through the whole series. He doesn't shy back from what is going on. I love how he tries to protect Vanessa from what is going on. I couldn't put this one down. S.E. Rose had me glued to the pages from the start. I for one can't wait for the next one.

This is the fourth book in this phenomenal series. Jesse and Pop princess Vanessa are both stranded on an island due to mother nature, and they are unable to deny the intense chemistry between them. However, danger is lurking, can Jesse protect Vanessa? No spoilers; this is a must read, you will not be disappointed! This is a well written flawless story, which is filled with twists, danger, and love. I was enthralled throughout this engaging page turner, and cannot wait to read more from this talented author, who I highly recommend for all readers.

Another great book by S.E. Rose
Love how this book grabs your attention in the beginning and takes you along for an exciting ride all the way to the end. Having read the previous 3 books in the series, I was already familiar with the main characters. Even though they are rich and successful, they were still down to earth likable people. I enjoy romance and suspense and I love how well S. E. Rose writes both! After reading the sneak peek for the last book, I can’t wait to get my hands on it!!!

They meet and they fall for each other, they break up and get back together again. There is something dark which may spoil it all again. See what will happen

S.E has done it again with another amazing book. This is the 4th book in the series and It's suspenseful with love and twists that you won't expect. It will keep you hooked from the beginning to the end.

Just finished this book! I have read all of the books and working on the final on in the series now! I absolutely love them. The books draw you in with the love stories and the what will happen next!!

This series just keeps getting better and better! I love the characters and storylines! Such a big problem, human trafficking, wish it worked liked this!
