I left home ten years ago, promising myself I’d never return to the place where I had never been accepted. I was despised and ridiculed for circumstances completely beyond my control.

But when my grandmother passes away, I’m forced to return to Kansas. I will have to face everyone who hated me. But they’re not who I’m most afraid of.

My biggest fear? Facing him.
Jordan Marx.
The boy I once loved more than life itself. The boy who defended me from them. The boy I’d disappeared on, leaving him nothing more than a horrible nasty lie and hastily scribbled note.

When Jordan finds out the secret I have carried for so long, I’m in for the battle of my life.
Or so I thought.

I might have wandered for years on a path riddled with thorns but with Jordan by my side, taking the long road home means more than reuniting with the only man I’ve ever loved. It might just mean finding myself, and the family I never thought I could ever have along the way.

➽ KITTY KATS CRAZY ABOUT BOOKS

LONG ROAD HOME: by Stacey Lynn is book#3 in her Love in the Heartland Series. Every book is about individual couples and can be read as a complete standalone. This is Destiny & Jordan's story. Spoken in 'Dual perspectives.'

Destiny had turned her back on so many things ten years ago, but her main regret was Jordan, the boy who always had her back, the boy where she could dream about the white picket fence and marriage, but sometimes dreams are just that 'dreams'. But she did the unthinkable, just as they were going to embark on their dream life she broke it off with him over a note, no explanation just the words on the paper stating that it was over.

Ten years later she’s back to close up her grandmother's house after her funeral and packing it up and readying it for sale. Being back in this town she's fully prepared herself to face the criticism and judgment she knows will come her way, but the one person she wasn't prepared to face was Jordan who was standing in the back of the service, clashing eyes on hers.

Once he uncovers her secret it's a long road of recovery for him to trust her again, and initially their interactions are antagonistic and intense, but they know they have to let go of the past for them to be able to carry on into the future united. Even aside from all that their feelings never died for each other even though it had been ten years, in some ways they were stronger and better for it.

Being that I'm a sucker for a good second chance romance I couldn't help myself when I saw this one doing it's rounds on facebook, I couldn't not read it. This threw out all the feels one would expect with this genre, I connected with the characters, I felt so much empathy towards Jordan when he uncovers Destiny's secret, which made for a hard pill to swallow, but in the end I understood her reasons.

The reason why this is a 4 star read for me is that the secret was too predictable, it's been done before, over and over, so I was kind of hoping for something new, sadly that wasn't the case, in saying that though it still made for an enjoyable read and all lovers of second chance romances will also enjoy this story.

“Everywhere,” he whispered. “I want to taste you everywhere.”

Long Road Home by Stacey Lynn is a sexy, heart wrenching, and emotional second chance romance that will leave you with an overflowing heart and a cleansed soul. These characters, Destiny and Jordan, were incredible together! So much anger, resentment, and betrayal between them, and yet the passion, connection, and unbelievable chemistry is still so palpable. The emotion just pops right off of the pages and I couldn’t walk away. This beautiful romance with so much heart took me on quite the emotional journey. It’s a journey of forgiveness, hope, and love. It’s a journey you’ll never forget. I loved how smooth the pace of the story was. The characters were amazing. The writing was great and it was such an easy one-sitting read. This author does a great job of mixing sexy with emotional and turning out something truly inspiring and romantic.

After devouring Destiny and Jordan’s book, I discovered that Long Road Home is book three in a series of romantic standalones titled ‘Love in the Heartland.’ I don’t know how I missed the first two books in the series, but I plan to rectify this ASAP! It’s easy to fall in love with Stacey Lynn’s writing, so I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next!

3.5 Destiny & Jordan Stars

This is the third book in the series and each one works as a standalone but it's great to catch up with the characters from the other novels.

Jordan and Destiny were High School Sweethearts. He was the popular, good guy Jock. She was the town pariah because she was seen as trash by some people because she had been abandoned by her junkie mother.

Destiny's granny was liked well enough by all , but teenage girls at school still made Destiny' s life hellish. Destiny flees when the bullying gets too much and Jordan is heartbroken. Ten years later they meet again and its time to see if old wounds can heal. The attraction these two always felt for each other roars to life , despite Jordan being furious when he finds out Destiny hid his son from him for ten years.

Ultimately , it’s a book about forgiveness , healing & growing up. If you enjoy a second chance romance then this is a good one.

The worst kind of second chance romance. Yikes!

She leaves her boyfriend without saying that she is pregnant and returns to her home town ten years later with a child she's kept secret for all those years.

Another second chance gone wrong. Ugh enough. Secret child involved. And repetition galore. Once is enough I’m smart enough to read so I can also understand and don’t need to be told more than once.

Destiny Jane Matsen is going back to the small hometown she left ten years ago so she can attend a funeral. She knows she is about to face criticism and judgment, but she is not mentally prepared to face him...the boy she left behind. Her first love, her protector, and the one that was supposed to be her future. Until she left him. She had her reasons, but they were her secrets. And ten years later they are all about to to be exposed.

Jordan Marx has only returned home in the past couple of years. He has always been the town Golden Boy and has found success. He has plenty of family and friends around him. But seeing Destiny return, brings back all the unresolved feelings of hurt, anger, and bitterness. And as the truth comes out it only escalates that and adds even more emotional turmoil.

Their interactions are initially antagonistic, heated, and intense. But now these two have to come to a compromise in order to deal with situations in the present. And considering they are both raw and have never really been able to move on, it is going to be a challenge. But they have to figure out their priorities and do the best they can to deal with unresolved emotions and find a new normal.

Destiny is now having to face all her demons and ghosts, and risk further judgment. Will she find a way to fit in or will they send her running again? And will Jordan finally have closure so he can move on or is there something left to try to recapture?

This is an emotional, tension-filled, heart warming, second-chance romance about honesty, trust, forgiveness, healing, and home. It is told in dual points of view that was critical for this story to understand all that was hidden. I liked both of them even when he was surly and mad, and she was fearful and guilt-ridden. There was plenty of potential for growth with these characters as individuals, together, and even with her dealing with people from her past.

I liked all of the side characters. I know some of them have been in other books, but it did not keep me from enjoying it as a standalone. I adored the character of Toby and how he related with the other characters. I am interested in going back and reading about Jordan's sister, Rebecca and Cooper from the last book, This Time Around.

I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Long Road Home is the embodiment of second chance romances!

I will start off by saying I haven’t read the previous books in the Love in the Heartland series, so this book can be read as a complete standalone. I was not lost or confused about the relationship between all the characters. It just makes me want to dive into the other books as soon as possible.

Long Road Home follows the story of Destiny and Jordan. High school sweethearts 10 years previously, these two have unresolved issues regarding their relationship, along with a huge, life-changing secret. Destiny just wants to lay her grandmother to rest and leave the one place that brings back too many cruel and heartless memories….and avoid Jordan at all costs. But Jordan wants answers, and he doesn’t want her to leave without finally getting them.

I can’t tell you how much I loved this book! The story line was touching and empathetic, evoking heartbreak and buried emotional anguish that flowed extremely well with the development of the characters. Destiny and Jordan have a tumultuous history. As much as the bitterness and torment comes through in their interactions together, you can clearly feel their undying love and passion for each other that resonates throughout the book, no matter how much time has passed. Truth and trust become imperative influences in the resolution of their young love, but also becoming building blocks to what could potentially be a HEA together.

Long Road Home is a beautifully penned love story that showcases the concession of one’s wrong doings and the endeavors to make things right, the power of finding inner strength in overcoming adversity, and the unequivocal love and acceptance two people can reclaim that was thought to be lost forever.

A definite 5 star must-read...without a doubt!

***3.5 STARS***

Not too shabby. I'm not a fan of many years apart, and these two spent 10 years apart, but it worked in this story. I liked all the characters in this story. Even though I have read this same story theme many times by other authors, this one kept me plenty entertained to the end.

You can see this and other Reviews I have written along with various cover reveals, excerpts, and giveaways here Nadine's Obsessed with Books

Long Road Home is the third book in the Love in the Heartland Series and while each of these books can be read as a standalone I would recommend you read This Time Around first, this is where I was first introduced to Jordan along with his sister Rebecca and Cooper who make several appearances in this book.

When I first met Jordan I knew right away that he had been hurt bad and now the cause of all that hurt, Destiny, has come back and a secret she's kept from him is revealed. Was I surprise about the secret...ummm NOPE, and it's right there on the first page so there is no guessing what-so-ever. What I was surprised about was the lengths her grandmother went through to help her keep her secret. Yes Tillie was a wise woman, so wise that Jordan had absolutely no idea and he spent at least one day a week with her for years!

My heart broke for Destiny, this poor woman never had it easy. Growing up she was hated and picked on by the "mean girls" in school but it went even further than that, she was abandoned by her own mother as a baby. Like I said my heart broke for her. So when she found herself in a difficult position she did the best thing she could, even though it meant ripping her own heart out in the process.

This story was pretty heavy so be prepared but I promise it was well worth it, it was a Beautiful story about Love, Loss, and Forgiveness. Jordan and Destiny are great together. I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys contemporary romance and if you enjoy the Second-Chance Romance trope then this is a perfect read for you. Happy Reading!!!

Another Love in the Heartland story- this time its Jordan's story!! And what a story it is! Destiny is a single mom who left her small hometown behind years ago and never looked back for good reasons. Now, 10 years later she's back to attend a funeral. And her child's father runs into her- uh oh!!! For she never told him her secret- look for plenty of fireworks and angst and drama to erupt when it finally comes out.
Jordan Marx is one sexy man who knows what he wants and definitely how to get what he wants/needs. He was considered the golden boy and he was Destiny's boyfriend. But she suddenly left him behind without any word and to this day,he's still so angry and hurt, and when he finds out the news which she kept from him, oh boy, he is livid and insanely furious at what she did.
This is such a emotional rollercoaster ride for Jordan and Destiny. Theirs is a 2nd chance at love romance that is about forgiveness, healing, chemistry, romance, and true love. I loved reading Jordan's story because I had been waiting for his HEA and what an HEA it was. Destiny is an awesome heroine who had some bad things in her past and she worked hard to overcome them. She is strong, sweet, and such a beautiful character who hasn't had the best in her life except for her grandmother and child. I loved her chemistry with Jordan and the 2nd chance HEA.
This is one read you dont want to miss.

Long Road Home is a heart warming second chance romance that will give you butterflies. While it is part of a series, it can absolutely be read as a standalone.

Destiny had her reason for leaving her home and Jordan Marx 10 years ago. It's something that has always been painful for her but she stood by her decision. Even if that meant she stayed in pain. When her Grandmother passes away, Destiny is forced to face her past and the only man she has ever loved.

Jordan wants to be mad at Destiny and have nothing to do with her. All these years later and he just can't get over her. Now that she is back in his life, the two of them are forced to face the past that tore them apart.

This is one of the books that I really enjoyed the moment that the title makes sense for you. Jordan and Destiny's path has been riddled with pain but now they are finally able to heal and move on with each other again.

I enjoyed the story and I fell hard for Jordan. He's just one of those sweet heroes that sneaks up on your and grabs your heart. If you want a heart felt second chance romance with just the right amount of angst then you need to get Long Road Home now.

Mon avis en Français

My English review

Here I am once again launched in a third volume without having read the previous ones. And if I’m curious to learn more about the other characters, I had no problem following the story.

Destiny has always been the ugly duckling of the city, the one we talk about, humiliating and dragging in the mud. That’s one of the reasons why she left Kansas never to return, leaving behind the only boy she ever loved. But her grandmother’s death pushes her to return with her son Toby. And while she did not think to see Jordan again, she finds herself confronted with him and the secret she has kept for more than ten years.

It’s just not easy for Destiny to come back to town and I felt very sad when I saw what people were doing to her after so much time. But there is also Jordan, and if he is furious that she went away, he will discover that she had a reason. I understand why the young woman acted as she did, and at the same time, I was angry with her that she waited so long to tell the truth. “Saying” is a big word knowing she did not have a choice. But in all of this, it was touching to discover Toby, to see him change in this small town and especially to see that people are no longer the same, that they have become better.

It was a romance that made me have a great time. I really enjoyed Jordan and I must say that I am curious to discover the story of his sister and that of Cooper!

As a new to me author I never knew what to expect from Stacey Lynn but I was blown away by both the characters and story she created.

Destiny showed up in her version of hell to say goodbye to her much loved Grandma but she had hoped to get in and out as quickly as possible. In no way did she want to relive her past in this town filled with nothing but hate for her.

Jordan Marx has always been the golden boy of the town, baseball champion that went all the way and from the most loved family he can’t do any wrong in the eyes of the community. He’s spent years trying to move on from the heartbreak of loosing his one love but when he lays eyes on Destiny his heart and soul and ripped open again but his anger was only gets amplified once he realises the depth of her betrayal.

A remarkable story that was so consuming I couldn’t put it down! I fell in love with not just Jordan and Destiny but also made me fall even harder for the family and friends around them that offered them the support and unconditional love that got them through the worst of times.

Damn my heart! What a beautiful and emotional journey!

Review to come.

*** ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review. ***

I knew that Jordan and Destiny’s story would hit all kind of emotional things… what a journey.

A journey about second chances, forgiveness and remembering what it was to beloved and cherished, to find the one that would fight for you no matter what. The sense of belonging to a family, blood related or not.

Jordan and Destiny’s were childhood sweethearts, two against the world. The golden child and the girl who had nothing with deep self-confident issues and scars that ran deep, rooted until the point she could take it anymore.

One day, everything went through the window and ten years later, they were reunited. I was really surprised about how the author handled things, in a very good way.

A story filled so much angst that you could feel everything. No one were spared. I appreciated how the characters weren’t beating around the bush. As painful the truth could be, the tension palpable, something really overwhelming at times, I was drawn, I couldn’t put it down.

They made my heart race so many times I lost count. Through the characters alternating POV, all the resentment, misunderstandings and also anger and hatred leading to that situation were shown. Laid it out bare, without any concessions.

That mix of love and hate, building up and exploding bringing emotions to another level went straight to my heart. But all the love… oh my!

I was afraid about how would Destiny’s past would be handled and mostly the repercussions of all the bullying that leaded her to take that decision years, at a moment when she did my have any maturity to face it and ending selfish in some way. But I wasn't. She was stronger, braver, finally accepting not to let her past driving her life.

I adored their chemistry and they won’t settle for less, especially Jordan, determined to finally make her his.

The constant evolution of their relationship through lots of hardships to overcome felt real, believable, heartbreaking and sad but so beautifully written.

“I was still in love with a woman who’d shattered my heart and after time, I’d pieced it back together to be good enough, but if she took off on me again, there’d be no stitching it back together.”

Destiny returned to her hometown after ten years for her grandmother's funeral. The memories she keeps of the town are not the best, growing up there was difficult, she was the target of hate and malicious comments. The only good things were her grandmother and Jordan, the popular kid, star of the town, who loved her. After practically fleeing the town and breaking his heart, she is sure that what awaits her in this return can not be any good. If the town hated her before, now she's the number one enemy. Especially when her secret is wide open to the world.
Jordan had a successful career in baseball, and now retired, he returned home to set up a business. Even after so many years, he never forgot his first love, the girl who never found herself good enough, but for him it was his world. Seeing her again after ten years brings up several feelings, some good, some bad. And when he becomes aware of what she was hiding, he will be filled with hatred and resentment. But even hurt, love is still present.
Ten years. A great secret. Lots of time wasted. Hurt, anger, grudge. But at the same time love, a love greater than life itself. Is there forgiveness for these two?
I hated, and I must emphasize how much I hated Destiny. Her attitude in the past was despicable, totally wrong. One does not do such a thing, especially with the guy who was said to love and who never gave any cause for suspicion. Her motives were weak, shallow, the fruit of an immature, dumb and selfish girl. Jordan was a good character, honest, loyal, and a good man. His interaction with Toby provoked a few tears. The two lost so much for Destiny's idiocy.
Sorry, even with all that she suffered, and it was a lot, this girl did not have an easy life, her grandmother gave her love and a solid foundation, told her countless times that she should not listen to others. Jordan protected her, loved her and tried to boost her self-esteem by always encouraging her. And yet she puts everything to waste.
The book approaches a family drama, the romance sits in the background. The big question here is this new dynamic of the characters. How to move forward, how to create a future if the past was lost. The dynamics of the narrative is a bit slow, the secondary characters are just to compose the story, it does not have great prominence in the book, really the main focus extends to three characters.
I think Jordan forgive very easily. Destiny has not changed at all in my eyes. The city that always gossip has shut up very fast, Some situations that could create a certain twist in the book have not been worked out and the plot is predictable. A good book, a bit of a cliché, far from being a masterpiece, but fulfilling its role.

Destiny knows that after seeing Jordan’s sister she has to tell Jordan her secret, but she didn’t expect him to turn up to say sorry. She lets him know that he can hate her all he wants but she did it for a reason. Jordan is beyond mad, she kept the secret for ten years, the years she’d stolen from him. Destiny tells him it was everything the shit from the people in the town, him having to give up his dream, she couldn’t do that to him.
Realising that her grandmother was hinting at regretting encouraging Destiny to leave, she finds out that she also told Jordan to forgive her, he didn’t know what she was talking about but now that he does, can he forgive her. Seeing her brings back memories he thought he had forgotten.
Jordan is frustrated, he still wants Destiny but how after everything she’s done. His friends let him know he has to get past why she did everything and maybe he can have what he wants. Jordan thinks it can’t be that simple, but could he forgive her.
Jordan knows before they can talk about the future they need to talk about the past, how it affected him when she left, how she thought she wasn’t good enough, it was messy but they both new it needed to be done. They have so much to work through, but Jordan wants to try and get back to what they had, but can they make it work with the trust issues and her doubting she’s good enough can they make their way back to what they had.

Love in the Heartland

Oh I was so hoping for Jordan's story!! And what a story it is!

Moving, angsty, steamy, romantic....I can't come up with enough adjectives for this fantastic read!

In a misguided attempt to make things better for Jordan, Destiny runs. She runs hard, she runs fast and she is gone for 10 years.

I could totally understand her need to flee, small town life can be cruel sometimes and Ms. Lynn writes it so well.  She makes you really feel the hurt and agony that Destiny felt years ago and what she still continues to feel when she comes back home.  With a surprise passenger in tow.

Jordan has pulled himself back together when Destiny left all those years ago.  Or so he thinks.  When she comes back into town, old wounds are ripped open and new ones are caused.  You can feel his anger, his untrusting nature and you can understand it.

The way that Destiny and Jordan navigate through the landmines of their past is beautiful.  It's not all hearts and flowers, nor should it be.  There is a lot of baggage that they need to work through to get where they want to be.

I absolutely loved this story.  Make sure you read it slowly, savor the words, get into the story.  It's so worth it!

Well done Ms. Lynn!

I'm just wowed. As I sit here I can't put my feelings for this book into words. It's so magnificently written and I'm not just saying that because I'm a Stacy Lynn fan. But boy did this book take me to Second Chance Heaven....

This story is told in duel POV which was perfect cos we needed both sides of the story. Jordan whom we already met and I was already in Lust with him did not disappoint me one bit.

Watching these two brave it all to come for a funeral was nail biting. Watching them work through the bitterness, heartache and secrets was utterly Heart breaking. It was emotional and heartwarming. They had to heal and gain trust again. We were lucky to be in this journey because it was an utterly beautiful Journey.

Stacy is never Meanji with her sexy and chemistry so trust me when I say that when these two come together it's fireworks.

Grab this book ladies, there twists and turns... You will wanna bitch slap then hug them. Most importantly you will end this book with happy tears and a full heart.
Enjoy....

Destiny left her small home town with plans to never return, but needs to do so to attend her grandmother’s funeral. She knows people will talk about her and is prepared to deal with the hurtfulness she grew up with, but she is not prepared to see Jordan. Jordan was the only person who had her back, he was her first love and she left him so he could have a better life. She left him with a lie and a hasty note and now that she is back, Destiny knows she’s in for pain - especially once he finds out the secret she has been keeping all these years. Jordan has never really gotten over Destiny, when he sees her again all of his old wounds are torn open and his hurt and anger is hard to get past, especially when he discovers Destiny’s secret.

I was really excited for Jordan’s book and it didn't disappoint, this was an angsty and emotional second chance Romance that I devoured.

Destiny and Jordan were sweethearts in high school, they made plans, college together, the whole works. Destiny spent almost her whole life defending herself to everyone in town. She was the towns outcase basically, but Jordan fell head over heels for her and protected her as much as he could. Well, one day, she breaks up with him and leaves......I don't want to give too much away, but she is keeping a HUGE secret. They are both heartbroken, 10 years pass and she is back. They have ALOT to talk about, but they both realize they never got over each other. Their life was basically at a standstill over the decade. Pretty sweet story once I got over the huge secret, but they do belong together. Dual POVs.

Sweet. I'm a sucker for "surprised daddy" books. This book explained the circumstances real well of why and I really like how both Jordan and Destiny had time to explore what really motivated the circumstances and how they had grown. Destiny had the most to reconcile after 10 years away. I think everything was handled fine except Jenni which seemed OTT and like someone else wrote and just dropped it in the manuscript ?! We knew of her but that was first sign of her plus why she thought she'd have to over take everyone....weird lady.

Well, I loved the main characters. Good HEA.

This is book three in the Love in the Heartland series but can be read as a stand-alone.

10 years ago Destiny ran away from all the people who hated her, played cruel jokes on her and whispered constantly about her. 10 years since she ran from the boy she loved, 10 years since she left without a goodbye and a secret that she thought would ruin him.

10 years later she comes home with her son to bury her beloved grandmother. She never thought she wuld see Jordan again, never thought he would be back home. She never expected to have to tell him that they had a son that she never told him about.

Enjoy Jordan and Destiny's love story and how after years of missed time and life altering secrets a couple can reaquiant a love not so lost. This a second chance romance with a HEA.

Meh. This familiar storyline always makes me wonder how a secret like the heroine’s can be kept. No spoilers. But this is m e - . . .

I received a free copy of this book from the author.

Destiny and Jordan are high school sweethearts...with broken hearts.  They were in it for the long haul then one day Destiny was gone. Her grandma wouldn't tell Jordan where.  Eventually he tried to move on.

Fast forward a decade and Destiny is forced to come home when her grandmother dies. There's several secrets surrounding her return.  Jordan is determined to figure out what she's been doing and where she's been. Though things aren't as simple as they seem.

This story may pull at your heartstrings. These two characters are great.  I loved reading their story and seeing how everything worked out.  Stacey Lynn delivers another great romance readers will love in Long Road Home.

Long Road Home by Stacey Lynn is book three in her Love in the Heartland series. Every book is about another couple and can be read as standalone.
Destiny is a single mom who left her small hometown years ago and never looked back. Now, 10 years later she's back to attend a funeral. And her babydaddy runs into her smackdab.
Jordan Marx is a man who knows what he wants and how to get it. He was the towns golden boy and Destiny's boyfriend. But she left without a word and he's still angry, furious when he learns what she did.
Long Road Home is a beautiful second chances story, well written and I love the heroine - and the hero wasn't half bad either. I give beautiful 4,5 stars.

Jordan is often times surprised by his woman, “actually,” Destiny said, “I was thinking you and me. Dinner out somewhere?” A date? Was she asking me out? That heat in my spine settled to a comfortable warmth and I had to bite the inside of my cheek to keep from teasing her... " Once Jordan is sated he is all one happy and playful man, "he smacked my *** playfully. “Go get cleaned up. I’m exhausted, and I want you in my arms before I fall asleep.” There are times Jordan isn't really a hard man to please, "mostly I spent time thinking when I could get Destiny naked and beneath me again. Or on top. I wasn’t picky." I liked this book, I really loved Jordan.

Great Long-Lost Read

As I am partial to the long-lost love genre, Long Road Home fit the bill perfectly. Two young loves torn apart by a bad decision, years later they are forced to see one another again and of course, there's a secret. This time, it was hers.

One thing Stacey Lynn did quickly was reveal the secret. In this type of book, it's usually the same secret, however by revealing it early, it played a huge part in the story, which I liked. Our couple was in high school when everything went bad. He was her hero and she couldn't hold him back anymore, so she left.

I instantly loved Jordan. He had a huge heart and wore it on his sleeve. Sure, he was a little bitter now due to his past, however still made a good life for himself. He was so in love with her, it was sweet and a little sad.

"I'd never had a chance at getting over her. Or I'd never tried."

Aw! See? Too sweet and Destiny never knew what she was walking away from all those years ago. Now this character, I wasn't a big fan of. Most of her problems seemed to either be in her head, or she made a big deal out of nothing, dragging Jordan's heart along the way. It took quite a few chapters for me to warm up to her.

The book is well written, and I absolutely loved the supporting characters as well. It was a tight knit group of friends and family that watched out for one another. While I haven't read any other books in this series, Long Road Home reads nicely as a standalone.

I couldn't wait for Jordan's story.

But I didn't know it was going gut me the way it did.

Stacey Lynn didn't hold anything back with this story. It was a very emotional second chance romance. This book kept my attention from the beginning to the very end. I had a couple sleepless nights because I couldn't put it down. The connection between Jordan and Destiny was off the charts. The emotions and hurt just bleeds off the pages. This book was also about healing and hope. I love a book that has my emotions all over the place. This book is definitely a MUST read.
