I’ve just had a baby and you want to fly me to England? Emilia Ford and Logan Evans meet on a flight that will change their lives forever.
Emilia has been asked to move to England, with her son, to write for a magazine. It’s not what she wants, not with a baby so young.
Logan is finally moving back to England. He’s got over his heartbreak in America. It was time he returned and looked after his responsibilities.
When they meet on the flight - sparks fly. Especially when he offers her accommodation and a welcoming home when her hotel booking fails.
Despite growing feelings, Emilia is only here for six months. She cannot make a commitment to him. He deserves better. He assures her they’ll be fine - even with the threat of Robbie’s father wanting custody.
Logan is not keen to discuss his past, especially when Emilia finds something she shouldn’t.
How will the two fare in the short six months they have together? Will the every day stresses of life be too much for them? Or will they push through?
Last Flight is a standalone sports romance with a very HEA.
Good start, then finally no surprises Romance where the link between the characters is built rationally: they are attracted, gives themselves a chance after meeting by chance, but they keep their feet on the ground. They are not immensely rich, they have a past that can come back to torment them and material considerations they must take into account to define where to live and how: alone or together. In short, the story is rather realistic, it changes for a romance. Now, the style is too descriptive for my taste, and although generally loving the stories of Amber Heart, I liked this story less than the others, mainly for this question of style. It's a shame because I really liked the beginning when Emilia, a young american mother of a 6-month-old baby, finds herself on a plane for England to work for her newspaper. She meets during the flight Logan who becomes her savior when she discovers that her hotel reservation was not made and that she is alone with her baby. However the rest is very predictable and I really struggled with the style this time. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
When Emilia found out she was pregnant, her boyfriend walked out and hasn't been heard from since. Now her baby is six months old and she is moving to England for six months for work. On the flight she meets Logan who is moving back to England after living in America for three years. They end up sitting next to each other and Logan helps Emilia with Robbie and they talk most of the flight. Logan and his brother give Emilia a ride to her hotel and when she realizes that she doesn't have reservations like her boss said, Logan offers her a place to stay. Neither are looking for a relationship because they know she is only there for six months. Logan takes care of Robbie so Emilia can work and they also become close. Will Emilia decide to return to America at the end of six months or will Logan convince her to stay with him? Will Logan ever find a teaching job or will he be content just babysitting Robbie? Will Emilia be able to trust her feelings for Logan and trust Logan's feelings for her and that he won't hurt her like Daniel did?
Cute story about an American woman meeting a British man on a plane to the UK. She’s a single mother with an 8 month old son and the man in instantly smitten. After a mix up at her hotel, he invites her and her baby to stay with him. She feels a deep connection with him, as well, so she agrees. A sweet tale of family, friends, and feelings that runs a little slow at times but has a satisfying ending.
A very fun read that holds your attention well. Emilia and Logan have great chemistry and are both very likable characters. With an engaging plot that offers enough drama and emotional turmoil to keep things interesting. A very good read. I am posting a voluntary, honest review.
I received an arc of this book for an honest review. While the couple in this story was really cute, I had a little trouble connecting with them sometimes during the story. I loved how Logan instantly fell in love with Robbie, there's just something about men and babies.
This is a sweet and touching romance. The storyline is well-written, engaging, with steam, drama and a problematic ex. The main characters are likable and relatable I enjoyed reading this sweet read. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
