Three months after his run-in with the vampire Marcus Gråsson, Christopher’s ankle has healed but his life is anything but perfect. There are people watching the house. Flora’s worried about the scarecrow. And after an unexpected tragedy strikes, Christopher will need to figure out how to deal with the loss without tearing a rift between his brother and himself.
When Victor accepts a job with Pretty, a prestigious private hospital, to work alongside the handsome Austen Poole, Christopher ends up with one more thing to worry about. While it might seem like a dream job, there’s something not quite right in paradise, and when Vic starts acting strangely, Christopher will stop at nothing to get his man back.
When striving for perfection, you sometimes need to get your hands a little dirty.
Amy Spector grew up in the United States surviving on a steady diet of old horror movies, television reruns and mystery novels.
After years of blogging about comic books, vintage Gothic romance book cover illustrations, and a shameful amount about herself, she decided to try her hand at writing stories. She found it more than a little like talking about herself in third person, and that suited her just fine.
She blames Universal for her love of horror, Edward Gorey for her love of British drama and writing for awakening the romantic that was probably there all along.
Amy lives in the Midwest with her husband and children, and her cats Poe, Goji, and Nekō.
I had a great time with this characters. I love the dark sense of humor, a little lighter this time around, but still very enjoyable. I felt the story was a little less romantic that I would prefer and more focus in other problems to be solve. It had some mystery on it, the best of it in the last pages that made it such an interesting read.
Victor and Christopher are a couple I really liked and the moments they shared together were fantastic. I really enjoyed this two, but something seem a little off in their relationship. I still felt liked there was a lot of love in them. I felt like they spend so little time together. I loved the mystery on this book. It was nice trying to discover what was going on and I really didn’t see some things coming.
Another thing I loved about the book were the secondary characters, they were all so nice, but I was left wanting a little more of Jonathan. He was mysterious and I have a soft spot for the kind of relationship he had with Christopher. I hope it could be a little more of him in the future. Overall it was a fun book to read and there was something about that cover that I just loved.
I absolutely loved this story, and the characters of Christopher, Vic, and Grant. There is a great cast of quirky and entertaining secondary characters, too, including Jonathan, Lee, and Flora. I was glad to see Christopher get to play the hero a little this time. He always seems a little scatterbrained and clueless (maybe he IS a zombie?) and in need of rescue, so it was nice to see him take the lead from Vic for a little while. I love the variety of characters (vampires, "reanimated" people, maybe some zombies), and the way they juggle the "real" world. Amy Specter writes my type of "horror" story. There are lovable characters, eerie situations, evil geniuses, mystery, suspense, and drama. There are also funny bits, like throwing a brick at the bad guy while shouting "A$$hole"...and missing the target completely. There is some blood and gore, but it's modest. This is the third story with these characters, and Amy seems to write one every year for Halloween. I hope there will be another one next year. I want more of the story.
And be sure to read the two preceding stories "Cold Fingers" and "Body of Work." They provide more background for the characters and how they got to this point.

This is an amazing book, I devoured it completely and way to fast. I loved Christopher he was a very great character, well in truth they all where but he was my favorite. This is quite a kewl little haunted kind of tale, it had a very strong story line for sure. I couldn't get enough of it to be honest, this group of people where full of such love and hijinks it was amazing. I am a massive fan of this author so I am always happy to have read any of her books. But I say go out and grab this asap, you will not regret it.

I have always been fascinated by graveyards. No, it’s not something I admit on a first date. Nobody wants an obsessive sea god, after all. But there is something about graves that calls to my inner John Donne. Have you ever thought about the ground beneath a graveyard? Imagined tunnels running from grave to grave? Doorways out, up to the world above? Undead meetings? No, nor have I. Not once. *cough* The relationship between death and life can sometimes be uneasy and indistinct. So many questions just waiting to be answered should we ever open that doorway from one world to another? Would we take it? Would it affect my appetite? Would the undead have bad breath? Etc. It’s a can of worms. Relationships, family, love. Always the dinners of our lives. This book is such an innovative gem that encompasses literature, love, family, science and humour in such a unique manner. I loved Christopher and Vic in the first 2 books, and book 3 is a delicious addition to this quirky series. Open the doors!
Some men promised you the stars, mine reanimated a corpse.
God, that was hot.
I love the Cold Fingers books, I love the perfect mix of funny and creepy. Christopher Minnick used to have an antique shop, but now he doesn’t really have anything except his boyfriend Victor Polidori, his brother, and a few friends…
Ms Spector writes the best secondary characters. While you have to love Grant, Christopher’s friend and former colleague, no one beats Flora, Vic’s mother, in my opinion. Flora is a crazy old lady with a thing for tasty young men LOL.
In this story, Vic is starting a new job so he and Christopher can spend more time together. But, something isn't right at the private clinic and when Vic starts acting strange Christopher has to investigate.
So this is Cold Fingers 3, and it's as darkly funny as the first two instalments. Christopher Minnick's sense of humour is dry as ashes and dust, but he's not dead. Kinda. He's not a zombie, at any rate. In this, as in the previous stories, he finds himself mingling with other not-dead folks - mostly those with whom he's personally acquainted - and there's a great 1960s classic horror vibe that results in me reading Cold Fingers in Technicolor. It's much fun, and scary, of course. I really admire the way the author combines suspense and humour and hope she's far from done with this series.
He is still not a zombie. He had been bitten by a vampire and his ankle is healing. Things are not going to be easy for him when tragedy happened. He needs to make sure he does not cause a rift with his brother. He goes to work in a hospital and strange things start to happen. What is going on? Will he find out? See what is on

What a strange, quirky little story. I liked it! There’s a psychotic doctor (always fun); a vamp; dead not dead relatives, mad dogs and some hot lovin. Oh, and let’s not forget the perfect people at the perfect hospital, Pretty. That was a blast to read. Twisted.
My only niggle, I had a hard time keeping track of who’s who.
Chris and Johnathan are twins, Chris was kicked out as a child when he came out, Vic and Chris are boyfriends, Grant is a friend and Lee is a vampire. Austin is the nurse who assist Vic during surgery. When a child is diverted from the hospital Vic worked for due to they families financial situation Vic after talking it over with Chris takes a leave from the hospital and takes a job at Plastics. When Chris and John go visit their parents at the cemetery they notice they were being followed.Vics mom also noticed that there was a strange man in the backyard. Vic and Grant notice a unknown car was parked down the road from the house. Skinner one of the surgeons from Plastics was following John as he was dead for years and brought back to life.
“People... chained by monotony, afraid to think, clinging always to certainties and terrified by the unknown. They live like ants”. Bella Lugosi. Nice book with a different spin on love and family an has an HEA ending.

Sadly, I’m done, though I very much hope that Amy Spector revisits this series, as I don’t think I could ever get sick of it.
For novellas, they gave exactly what I wanted. Interesting characters, intriguing plot, well paced and highly entertaining.
I think anyone going into this who always needs to know “why?” may not be a fan, but sometimes you just gotta roll with it, and boy did I enjoy the tumble!
4.5 stars Christopher has to face some big decisions… Fortunately, Vic is there to support him or… is he? Finding out that his parents are dead brings a rift between Christopher and his brother. Besides, Vic working schedule makes it impossible for them to see each other enough. Vic is frustrated, and so he decides to accept a different job which will bring more stability to their relationship. But things do not work out as expected, and Christopher has to add to his fraternal problems a weird acting boyfriend, a mysterious stalker, and a mother in law with a very gruesome diet…. Again, Vic and Christopher find themselves solving a plot which involves plenty of supernatural. With the aid of Grant and Lee, they manage to solve a mystery, but there are many questions answered in this book that left me intrigued: what does that letter say? Is Flora tendency to find young men tasty more than a fantasy? Where is Vic’s dad? Is the new shop haunted? I’ve truly enjoyed these three stories, and I do hope there is an answer to all this questions in future stories Creepy and funny, and so very entertaining! I received an ARC in Exchange for an honest review.

Vic has new job... in a place called Pretty that is mostly about plastic surgery. Yeah... you can see how this news are going to go down with Chris :P But, OTOH, regular hours...
But there something going on: they are being watched, and Dr Edward Skinner, one of the partners of the firms, seems a little bit psychotic.
Grant plays a major part here, and we see more of Chris' brother, and I love all of them: Lee (who is now a vampire, and happy about it!), Flora, Austen... all of them are so perfectly done!
I simply love this series, and I really, really hope there is more to come!
Overall quite good and macabre. I liked it, even if the 2nd instalment was slightly more up my street. This continues to be a fun, kinda insane series with lovable characters. I do wish we'd get more of Christopher and Vic together as a couple but I get that this is not a traditional romance. It still reminds me of an ensemble paranormal show and I love it.
It's pretty clear that this is not intended to be the end of the series (there are lots of unfinished threads, such as the zombie bits, Flora's story line, Jonathan's character, ghosts, etc. but I don't see any more books in the series and this was published in 2018.
I do have mixed feelings about the book. It is dark with paranormal twist. Characters complex with mix feelings. And plot ... Well quite good. But still I am not sure if I like it. Sorry
