This book completely had me in awe. The whole time I was on the edge of my seat. The action was perfect, the connection between the characters flawless. Five stars is not enough for this book, I'd choose 20! Zeke and Ellie are such a cute couple, quirky and sarcastic and romantic. This book is perfect for anyone in their teens and older. Highly recommend this read!

Tormented Souls (Soul Series Book 1) is not only the first book in a series, it is the first book published by Tayla Lewis. As an avid reader, I am pleasantly surprised with the level of character development that elicits strong emotions from the readers who have jumped aboard this roller coaster ride full of surprises and plot twists when you least expect them. An awesome start to what I hope will be a long and productive career for Tayla Lewis!

Totally kick*** awesome!
This new author had me on the edge of my seat and wanting more! Her unique spin on Fae, Angels, and Demons was a great twist! And her main character is totally kickass! Can’t wait to see what else Tayla comes up with in the future!

This novel is an amazing blend between romance and great world building. The author did such a good job balancing the two that it satisfied my love for good action and a sweet romance.
The heroine in this novel Ellie was such a great main character. I loved her spunk and spirit. She is a breath of fresh air. I liked how she maintained her independence despite her life turning upside down. Instead of unrealistically embracing her new life and changes, she is resistant and is hesitant. However, this did not make her passive, but rather realistic.
Zeke is a great anti-hero. I loved how I grew to like him over the course of the book. He is broody and cruel, yet he holds a extremely sweet side only reserved for Ellie. The tender moments between them in the novel made the pages flame due to their chemistry.
The romance is quiet secondary to the novel. I liked how it is a slow-burn and things do not really heat up. The world building over drives the romance and that is really good. I liked how the hero and heroine got to know each other before things started getting heavy and intimate.
The world building is phenomenal. I liked how there is a unique take fae, demons, and angels. They are all flawed beings instead of super perfect people. In addition, the powers and magic was a breath of fresh air. I liked how there was a veer from mainstream paranormal.
All in all, great first installment to an action packed series. Definitely one click this book because you will enjoy it.

I LOVE how much action was in this book!! It kept me on the edge of my seat! I read this book in four days :O And with a house as crazy as mine four days is like another persons one! :O
All the characters had such amazing detail! Ellie of course is my favorite, but Bella is so cute and I love her too! :O
The ending is what got me the most, and I loved it so much! Now I have to sit here and wait for book 2! :O The most amazing and eye catching to me was how original the story was, I won't spoil it but there was things in the book I haven't read anywhere else! :O I was so excited to read it and I can't wait for book 2! It's gonna be amazing!

Omg! Ellie, Gabriel, and Zeke! Ellie and Zeke turn out to be perfect for each other! Gabriel tries to teach Ellie to defend herself from evil after being bit by a zombie and surviving the attack without turning. But it's Zeke, who is really able to help her train and see that she's not really evil and that because she's nephillim and a possibly Fae, Zeke, being Fae himself, is better equipped and prepared to help her. But the cliffhanger, it leaves you begging for book 2 so you can find out what happens to Ellie.

Wow. I went into this book expecting zombie and got soooo much more. Zeke is officially my new book boyfriend and I'm not sharing. Warning-theres a cliffhanger and now I will slowly fade away until book two comes out. Omg!
