Trenton Lewis is not gay. He's not friends with Scottie Chambers. He's definitely not falling in love.
Trenton Lewis never set out to be the most popular guy around. He’s not afraid to take a stand, even if it sometimes feels like the whole town of Silver Lake is against him. It’s never bothered him to be an outsider, though. He’s managed to take care of the family business and the family home that’s been handed down to him, and he’s done it all on his own terms. The only thing missing is a family to share it with.
Scottie Chambers knows what he wants in life. And for the most part, he has those things—great friends, a thriving business, and a new puppy who makes his heart melt. Sure, he eventually wants to settle down and get married, just like all of his friends seem to be doing, but he’s patient and he knows his time will come. What he doesn’t know is that it’s going to come in a way he never expected.
Trenton and Scottie aren’t exactly friends. With competing businesses right across the street from each other, they were never really going to be on great terms. But when a tragic event brings them together unexpectedly, they realize they might just have more in common than not.
When it comes time to make some tough choices, will they be able to set aside their differences, or will they sabotage the first real chance at love that either of them has ever had?
Tease is a steamy, standalone gay romance novel, with a happily ever after ending and no cliffhangers. It is set in the same world as Triumph and Trust and can be read as a standalone, though you may want to read then first to acquaint yourself with the world!
I have been enjoying this series, unfortunately this one just didn't hit the mark for me. This enemies to lovers along with I'm now gay story, I feel could have been a lot better.
I felt that the sex was just added because the it felt like it had to be written but didn't mesh with the characters and their story. The first time having gay sex scene just seemed to advanced, their was no fumbling, nerves or anything. I am sorry but the first time having anal you would think these things would be present.
It was nice to see the previous couples for the previous books and also a potential couple for another book.
A lovely romance in the town of Silver Lake, this time following the story of Trenton and Scottie. Enemies to lovers, gfy. Those who have read the previous books will not be the biggest fans of Trenton with the fight he's been putting up against other business ownersin town but he hugely redeems himself to Scottie after helping to save his new puppy. The two grow closer, bonding over the experience and discovering more likes than dislikes of the other. Trenton starts out as one of those characters you love to hate but this was his chance to shine and I think he comes through quite well, eventually treating Scottie well and showing his caring side. Scottie is just adorable, one of those positive, happy people that are constantly smiling the whole day through. He's an enjoyable character to read and you feel for him more when he is feeling low when compared to his normal upbeat mood. The two men together are cute, growing as friends then more when it's right for them but as a new experience for Trenton we get the expected turmoil. Sasha is the one that steals your heart from the outset, now need to get myself a puppy! It's great that we have the couples from the previous books as well as a few new faces to help the MC's along with friendship and support. Silver Lakes sounds like a wonderful place to live! This book can be read as a standalone but I think it would be better enjoyed if read in order I received an ARC and am happily giving a review
I didn't think it could get any better after the last Silver Lake book came out but I was so wrong! This is a enemy to lover and first time gay so it has a little bit of everything in it. Trenton and Scottie both have coffee shops across from each other and they are both on opposite sides in the things happening in their town until Sasha had an accident then all bets were off the table. This is another great story from Avery and it is a not to miss enjoyable time in reading land.
A great enemies to lovers story. This is the very cute story of Scottie and Trenton. They are total opposites but mesh perfectly together. Really like watching their relationship develop with no angst. Looking forward to the next book in this wonderfully series. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
The storyline has its moments though mostly it seems to work well. There is minimal character development for Tremton and Scottie but we survive. The story ends promising a HEA.
