The crew races against time to learn more about the deadly Naga, an enigmatic race of alien predators who will stop at nothing to find the starship Satori. A risky mission is put a return to the dead world where they first encountered the Naga. There the crew will try to wrest the information they so desperately need directly from the satellite defenses the aliens placed to blockade the planet. It should be a simple scouting run. They’ll be in and out before the Naga have any idea they are even there. But no plan survives contact with the enemy.

The storyline does things it should, things expected and then fumbles a bit and goes places completely weird and off-the-wall. The overall theme has some appeal but the manner in which some actions are thrown together left me unsure whether to continue. Again, the book ends but the story does not.
Well, the crew of the Satori makes some bad decisions which include going back to the planet where all the scary alien lizard people amost killed them the first time. It's kind of like when the kids in a horror movie decide to walk into the house where the psychopath lives instead of driving away in their car. More shoot-em-up action ensues when they egain encounter the scary alien lizard people again, and to make matters worse the Satori's AI has to do battle with the alien ship's AI. These situations are begining to get a bit repetitive by book #4 but the writing is good and story makes for fun reading as long as one is not too critical. So, on to book #5.
This is the best one yet in the series so far! Great imagination and vivid action. The battle of the A.I.s is riveting and somehow very moving. I was holding my breath and reading as fast as I could towards the end. I can't wait to get to the next in the series. Dan, Charline, John, Andy and Beth and of course Majel pull off another thrilling adventure, where will they go next? Sorry to gush, but that's just how I feel after finishing this book! Thoroughly recommended.
BUT, and you knew there was a but coming, as much as I have enjoyed the story these last 4 books, this is where I regrettably jump off the train. Ii irks me to pay the price for books that cost virtually nothing to deliver not counting the authors pittance. I refuse to pay $3 for what is essentially not even a novelette. Thanks for the regrettably short but thoroughly enjoyable ride, Kevin
Dan and his crew on the Starship Satori continue the twists and turns of the previous books. Edge of your seat excitement coupled with people you wish you could be friends with combine for an incredible tale of adventure and unselfish feelings for each other. Some of the scenarios are over the top but realism is not necessary always. I have already downloaded the next book. Can’t wait to get started on our next adventure.
As good as the previous 3 about to start book 5 should really sleep but will read at least a chapter. If you like this authors style then another author same style is silver ships author SH Jucha. Only two more books left of this series to read I wonder what’s on the horizon after that?
I en joyed the series so far and will continue to purchase books from this author. I wish that these books were a little longer as each book gets finished in less than a day. This is a n excellent series and I would recommend to true Sci Fy readers!
Getting a little tired of one problem after another, however, it may be the design of the author. Personally, I would like more character development and interaction. But, again, this is an adventure story.
I'm amazed that this author can write so many fantastic novels, I hope that he never stops writing. His books are some of the best Entertainment I have read and worth the time to read them. Thank you for a very fun entertaining read.
