This book is something everyone needs to hear. And I mean it.
We are fierce women. All of us. Every single one of us. We just need to awaken that fierce being within ourselves and start living as we should.
This is the energy of the book. This is the voice in your head. This is you.
The book is absolutely awakening.

Thank you NetGalley and Llewellyn Publications for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

.I am an avid nonfiction lover and picked this one thinking it is a book similar to ; "You are badass" and "Own your everyday."

.But it turned out to be catering to a different zone of feminine empowerment. It cites examples from author's personal life snd she quides women to reclaim their life by yoga and meditation.
.
Because of my commitment to review every book I request for a review. So I read it, but I could not connect or like it. Because it turned out to be totally different pedigree.

I liked parts about Yoga and Chakra. Being an Indian I already have basic knowledge about them.

Other stuff just didn't resonate with me.
Structuring of the bookand writing style is pleasing and fluent to read. But as a tantric educator author has her own theories which cannot be proved ir disproved.

May be I confused book as a nonfiction scientific work but it is s spiritual work.

Thanks netgalley and publisher for a review copy.

I knew from the moment I started reading this book that it was going to be something that I needed to hear, something that was going to awaken and empower me.

For those of you that don't know, when I'm not reading books and reviewing them, I'm a life coach, an ordained minister, a Reiki master in training, a witch, tarot reader, etc. Spirituality is my life, I live and breathe this stuff.

I am also a women's circle facilitator. I have dedicated myself to empowering women in the name of sisterhood, and this book not only is helping me spiritually but also professionally. The call, right in the foreword, written by Sistership Circle Founder, Tanya Lynn got me.

"Fierce women are sovereign, rooted in their self-authority, because they trust the voice within.
Fierce women no longer tolerate anything less than wha tthey deserve because they know their self-worth.
Fierce women stand together in sisterhood because they see their sisters as their allies instead of their enemies."
I mean COME ON! Isn't that just amazing? I don't know about you, but this is something that I've been craving - connection, sisterhood, feminine leadership. I already follow Tanya Lynn and Sistership Circle, so having her input right in the beginning told me that I was going to be in for an amazing treat with this book.

The exercises, from what I can see are awesome. We have some meditation and mantras - the first two are on raising your vibration, and the second one has us busting out the journals and pens. I do love a good journaling session!

I devoured this book in one night, and while the exercises will be something to work through I am so glad I've gotten a heads up on all the wonderful things to come. All women should read this book - time to rise up!

Note: I received this note courtesy of Llewellyn Press via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. A huge thank you to both organizations for giving me a copy of this book.

I gotta warn y'all before we even start, this is going to be another gushy review that's more about my experience than about the book itself. I know I've just written like 10 of that kind of review in a row. Bear with me for another one.

I want to start by saying, this book is so important. It's so good. It's going to be big and it's a book that truly cannot be read by enough women. Powerful doesn't begin to describe it. I'm having trouble finding the words that properly express what I want to say about FIERCE WOMAN. Reading it felt like someone had dipped into my brain, pulled out everything I've been trying to do already, cleaned it up and polished it into something that made 10x more sense, and handed it back to me as a book.

And I'm so thankful that this book exists and that I got a chance to read it and that other people are also going to have a chance to read it. That's my mood, while I review this. Overwhelming thankfulness.

FIERCE WOMAN is essentially a self-help book for the modern woman, right? Which sounds kinda boring, ya know? And possibly overdone--self-help books for women are doing really well right now (which, tangent, I think is amazing. Like. Go us for collectively deciding to not be OK with our status quos and choosing to read more self-help books and improve ourselves. That's a pretty cool thing). But. This is a really good one. The advice is amazing. Rhoda writes with such a fervent, confident conviction that as you're reading, you can't help sitting there like "girl, preach, hell yes we all goddesses, keep talking."

I was really sad when this book ended, actually, which I can't say for a whole lot of books.

I took my time reading it, too. This wasn't a book where I was like, "ok let me get this done in 3 days." It took a solid two weeks--and they were an amazing two weeks.

Actually, to properly talk about this book I feel like I need to discuss the week I just had, right? Cuz I've been reading through FIERCE WOMAN and it's the kind of book that gives you a lot to think about, and you can't really help but follow the advice she gives because it'll stay on your mind through the day. I don't want to go too into detail on the advice - it seems like a spoiler to say too much, especially when the book isn't out until July - but suffice it to say I started following the advice.

Specifically, when this week started, I decided to just try on being a fierce woman. Because of this book, I challenged myself to do one week at my goal self, right? And it was kind of a no harm, no foul situation to see what would happen, more than anything. Let me tell y'all. I worked out 5 days in a row for the first time since October. My word counts for the week (I do freelance writing & I'm working on my first novel) are the highest they've been since March 2018, when I was trying to buy a new laptop. I actually learned that if I have my crap together when I wake up, I can have my writing day completely done by 10:15 AM, when I was literally under the impression that I could not get a full day of writing done before noon. My diet has been controlled, when normally it's all over the place. I feel like I'm in control and like I'm a confident person who could do literally anything right now. By spending just one week practicing what this book talks about, I've already learned that everything I thought was my limit on what I could do was a lie. It was a complete lie. I literally only added half an hour onto my writing time, but my word counts per day have doubled just because my mindset was so different.

And I know that obviously, that's all personal experience and it might just be in my head. But honestly, this book is a powerhouse. It's so good. So enlightening. So... important. This is the book you absolutely have to read this summer. I honestly can't wait to see it in stores. It's going to be big.

First let me thank the publisher and Net Galley for this amazing book ! This book is life changing. It is the ultimate power book for women. This is the "definitive" women''s empowerment book. Every woman and young woman should read this book and it should be in all women' s studies courses.

Here is a example of a quote included by Tanya Lyn of the Sisterhood circle. that defines best the basis of this book:
."Fierce women are sovereign, rooted in their self-authority, because they trust the voice within.
Fierce women no longer tolerate anything less than what they deserve because they know their self-worth.
Fierce women stand together in sisterhood because they see their sisters as their allies instead of their enemies."

This book is a great tool for empowering yourself and taking control of your well being while building your self confidence as a woman. If you ( as all of us where brought up to ) accepted less then you deserve in life and tolerated the abuse, insults and misogyny of the war on women in today's society you need to read this book.
I loved it and appreciate the author''s including journaling tips, exercises and meditation practice. This is not just another self help book and the author is not a self help guru trying to sell a book. She knows and practices what she is teaching here which is to better ourselves and value our worth and our place in the world as women and find our power and use our voices to better ourselves. This is a way to find your power as a woman and build yourself up to a place of confidence by healthy practices and encouragement. Read it and buy copies for all your friends. This book is life changing !

I highly recommend this book for all women. My opinion is my own. I will be buying copies for gifts and copy for myself.

What I like best about this book was the many, many exercises and activities and journaling suggestions to put into practice in my own life the idea of owning my own power. I haven’t seen a book quite like this before. The author approaches the idea of being fierce, claiming our female power, in regards to our body, our mind, and our spirit. Each section is thorough, well written, with lots of examples and suggested activities to put the ideas into practice.

Thanks to NetGalley, the author and publisher for an advanced reading copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I can see how this could be really appealing and helpful to many, but for me it felt a little contrived (even though I normally like cheesy). It was also sort of unnecessarily gendered for me. I love women's spaces and female-centered writing but this book sometimes felt like it was overly gendered towards binary womxn when much of the content is applicable to all people

Takeaways: This is definitely one that I’ll probably want to go back to. I cleaned out my chakras for the very first time with this book and experienced new sensations that astounded me. The body is so smart and in tune, and I loved taking care of it with this new practice. Something also impactful was the idea of giving and receiving as being one and the same. Woof! That one hit.

I'm not gonna bother rating this because it was way more actual self-helpy than I was expecting. It will be helpful for some people and I'm not gonna knock something that encourages badass women. It just wasn't my thing.

I could see this being really helpful to some, but it didn't really resonate with me. A little too woo-woo for where I'm at and what I was hoping for. I did get a few nuggets of wisdom out of it, though.

I really didn't know what to expect going into this book. Seems like a lot of people are riding the wave of Girl, Wash Your Face. Fierce Women goes into empowering women by a different tactic, by focusing on the spirit and inner self. Most books want to change your mindset, this one wants to heal your mind first.
I really liked how it begins with excercises to heal the spirit and chakras then moves into power affirmations and excercises that are more customized like accepting change, menopause, and forgiving men.
This will be a reference book that I will highly recommend.

A wonderful journey for women to be comfortable in their bodies again regardless of societal norms or stigma. As well as building self love after so many of us have had it worn down by ourselves or others.

This book seeks to help women find empowerment. It is inspirational, but it takes most of its philosophy from yoga concepts. There's quite a lot about chakras and other yoga concepts. If you're into that, it's a great book. If you're not into the philosophy behind yoga, you might find this book a bit tedious.
