A woman unsure of her future, a man determined to hide his past, and the meeting neither of them can forget.
Rowan has no regrets about spending most of her adult life taking care of her younger siblings, but she can’t help feeling that she’s been standing still while everyone else has moved on. A new job takes her to the coastal town of St. Marys and brings her face to face with the man she’s never forgotten. While she’s thrilled to see Frank again, the passing of time hasn’t changed the underlying reason they can’t be together.
Frank has worked hard to dig himself out of a pit of his own making. Now a successful florist, he only wants to forget his troubled history and focus on creating lasting memories for his clients. Running into Rowan is a reminder of a missed opportunity. When they met before, their paths were going in opposite directions. Is that still true now, four years later?
I'm a Georgia girl at heart if not by birth. I love to read, watch college football, and spend time with my husband. I'm a hopeless romantic so there will always be a happily ever after in my stories. I also like to write about second chances because love doesn't always work out the first time.
This story is all about timing. Rowan meets Frank while they’re both dropping their sisters off at college. They hit it off, but they live in different states. Four years later they meet again. Distance isn’t an issue this time. Frank and Rowan were adorable together. I loved Frank’s confidence, and how he did not give up. My favorite part though, was Morgan’s reaction to his big secret. Thank you for staying calm and rational!
Content: clean (some kissing, no language, no violence)
I've been eagerly waiting for the release of this next book in the Finding Love series, and it did not disappoint - it's one of the best in the set!
Delaney Cameron has a gift for writing characters you can't help but fall in love with & relationship development stories that touch your heart - and leave you with a big sloppy grin on your face.
There's a point towards the end of the story, when some suspense is building up, that I saw the potential for a stereotypical direction that the story might be taking & was worried that it was going to follow an annoyingly predictable turn, but was pleasantly surprised that the author took it in a refreshing direction that was both realistic and lovingly noble.
I also loved the potential I saw in this book for several future books as well - I hope it's not just wishful thinking!!
Rowan was already in her early 30’s, and after spending her late teens and most of her 20’s raising her younger siblings, she was ready to have her own family. However she didn’t know if it would happen for her. Passed over for so long she felt like her options were dwindling. Frank was raised by the school of hard knocks and all the better for it. Pulling himself together after learning too many things the hard way, he establishes his life as a talented florist. His words of wisdom and maturity beyond his years catch the attention of Rowan and a friendship ensues. Although Frank is only in his mid 20’s, he’s convinced that Rowan is the woman he’s been waiting for to be his forever. Will Rowan be able see past their differences to find her family with him? I loved this book. Frank may have been young but I loved his advice, words of wisdom and genuineness. There was a constancy about Rowan that I loved too. She didn’t just overact and pout. Rather she was trusting and loving in times of conflict. It was a real joy to read this book. I’ve loved this whole series and so happy to have another one. This is another sweet clean romance. Maybe soon we can find out more on Fawn’s story........
Another well-done romance by Cameron, with a slow start and eventual build. Rowan is a few years older than Frank, and she thinks that it's an insurmountable barrier between them. Frank is not in agreement. He does, however, have some skeletons in his closet, and he is reluctant to bring himself down in Rowan's eyes by telling her the truth. There is a resolution and it brings another HEA to St. Marys.
Rowan is a professional photographer. Frank is a professional florist and part owner of a florist shop. They are just as opposite as they can be. They meet at a church where he was finishing up the flowers for a wedding. Rowan was there early to check places to get great shots of the couple that is getting married. Let the story begin. Great story. Start reading now.
Delaney’s characters and plot don’t feel manipulated or forced. They act like unique adults, who take risks, are honest with each other, but have a few quirks. I love reading her work. This one was great.
It started slow compared to the author's other books. All the good stuff took place in the second half of the book. But foodstuff finally happenned. I'm glad Frank finally got brave.
This is the first book I’ve read in this series. It is a stand alone story but I’ll read more of the series now that I’ve discovered it. The characters are well developed, and the story is very good.
This is a outstanding and refreshingly sweet as well as honest look at two moving characters as they journey towards love while trying to deal and heal from their past in different ways as they go for their happily ever after.
I have really enjoyed this author. I have read several of her books. She writes about real people and situations. The characters and plot are well written.I would recommend her books to anyone.
I’m a sucker for older woman/younger man stories, so that was in the pro column for this tale. I liked reading about Frank pursuing Rowan, even though she’s pretty clueless. Overall, a good read.
