This is indeed a day by day re-telling of his final few weeks. You get a good idea what was going on in his life .This book turned out to be somewhat of a page turner , because you know what will happen. But this the crucial point : what DID happen on that fatefull night of Sept. 17 , 1970 ?The author had many interviews with Monika Dannemann but her ever changing 'facts' of their last evening together is eh ... disturbing. And the wine on his clothes and in his lungs but not (much) in his stomach?Too bad several actors in this drama wouldn't speak at all.Even weirder , Jimi's devious manager was killed 3 years later in a plane crash (he was afraid of flying ).Recommended reading for all who are experienced.
