Busted: Wheelin' N Dealin'

Rate this book
A young man decides to chase his dream after high school instead of following the path laid out by society. His vision leads to adventures that exceed his expectations. It also leads to imprisonment. After each incarceration, however, he is still determined to continue his quest for the good life. Told from an outlaw’s point of view, Wheelin’ N Dealin’ is a baby boomer’s anthem. Infused with author Thomas Frederick Mills’s own childhood experiences with music, movies, books, and TV, Busted is a story everyone in his world-changing generation can relate to.

This is one badass book and tells a great story. Although the main character is in and out of prison throughout the book his character shows the true meaning of family, friendship, honor, and loyalty. Every single chapter is filled with sex, drugs, and rock and roll just like the author promised. I highly recommend this story to anyone who comes across it!

Have you ever watched a movie that has you on the edge of your seat? Well, this book is the equivalent of that. I was hooked after the first page. The lead character Big T has a heart of gold. The adventures and ordeals he goes through are a wonderful mix of thrill, excitement and amazement.
I highly recommend this read by Tom Mills, you won’t regret it.
I just wish there were more than five stars!

Just finished Thomas Mills new book and I loved it on so many levels. I love learning about history mainly because it teaches us not to make mistakes that have been made in the past so we can all evolve. It was great the way the world events were tied into the story and made me think back about what I was doing during those times. I was proud of Thomas for standing up for what he believes in. His book brings up the facts that there are misguided people in the world who want us all to be afraid! Afraid of people whos skin color is different than ours, afraid that women could some day be treated equal to men, afraid of different religions, afraid of marijuana and anything else they can make up to control us all. These same people tell us they are protecting us but they have caused mindless wars that have destroyed millions of lives, gotten us over 20 trillion dollars in debt, and polluted our precious planet on all levels. There are over 500 thousand homeless people in our country and a lot of those people are suffering from mental disorders and addiction. The problem is growing everyday. The prison situation Thomas talks about is deplorable. These predators are being allowed to carry out the same acts they are in jail for. Thomas Mills is a very brave and kind man who stood up to all these fear mongers! Marijuana is legal in many states now . Finally it is being analyzed to find out what disorders it can help cure thanks to people like Thomas Mills.

This is a book that I read in two days while at the same time wishing it would never end. Great true story, easy read and takes the reader into a world hidden from most.

In his book, Tom describes his life as a drug dealer. But he also describes how he is a friend, a federal prisoner, a grieving son of dying parents while locked up, and a funny, caring, and surprisingly kind and moral man living with and paying the price with his code of loyalty. I read the book like I was watching a movie that has scenes of escape from prison, high flying lifestyle, living on the lam, and exciting police busts. I hope you allow yourselves to meet Tom Mills through his description of his amazing life. I give the book 5 stars.

A fun and exciting read with fascinating twists. T.F. Mills reveals a look behind the scenes of the failed "War on Drugs" from a different and poignant perspective. In "Busted Wheelin'N Dealin", Mills dispels the myth that all high-end dealers are dishonest, unscrupulous monsters. The portrayal of the opportunity costs incurred by choosing a dealer's lifestyle as well as the potential economic and sexual benefits of said choice, make for a gripping tale of suspense, devotion, and character under fire. I can see this book becoming an action film thriller, with a killer soundtrack and plot punctuated by 40 years of world events...5 Stars !!!!!

Busted: Wheelin' N Dealin' is a fast paced autobiographical read about drug dealing, living and the law from 1970 to the present. The author's voice comes through loud and clear as the story follows the adventures of Tom and his friends through some pretty hair raising adventures. The point of view is uncompromising about the trade and the tragedies caused by the unsuccessful War on Drugs, but don't expect repentance or apology. The editing is top notch and this is overall a very fun read.

History as it happened

Brought me back to times that I remembered, good and bad, people I knew, things I was feeling at the time. Great reminder that every story is a matter of perspective. The old saying “Don’t judge another person until you’ve walked a mile in their moccasins” comes to mind.

Mr. Mills says this book is 98% biographical. What a life! As a Colorado Baby Boomer, Tom took me down memory lane; some good & some less than, but always exciting! I’m looking forward to finding out what happens next!

Hard to believe this is a life someone lives. The book was engaging all the way through. Life in the fast lane, tragedy, suspense, and loyalty are all part of this book. An honest view at a unique attitude and lifestyle few can comprehend. This will be a movie someday.

While Big T, the book’s protagonist, lives in the fast
lane—wheelin & dealin—in the end he values honor,
loyalty, friendship and family above all.a/t:
