The story of the tawdry Floods and the hapless Barnetts continues! The Irish Lottery Series Box Set was such a hit, here's part two. Get set to binge on these three novels of family dysfunction and dark humor that will make you 'wince, gasp and fume,' according to comedian Colin Quinn. In Best Served Frozen, Static Cling and the spin-off Emergency Exit, all your favorites are here, from hardened matriarch Fionnuala Flood and her hardworking husband Paddy and their clan, ditzy Dymphna, player Lorcan, mini-thug Eoin, clever Siofra and odd toddler Seamus. From the other side of the pond, there is kind-hearted Ursula Barnett and her husband Jed, together with their daughter Gretchen, all still reeling from the lottery win. When these two families meet, sparks always fly. Who will get burned?

He started school in Thailand, graduated high school in Iceland, with Germany, California and his mother's hometown of Derry, Northern Ireland in between. He attended Dublin City University, and also lived in London and Berlin. The first of his Derry Women Series, An Embarrassment of Riches, was an ABNA semifinalist in 2011. His Derry Murder Mysteries series has been a great success. He also has a travelogue series, Around the World with Jet Lag Jerry. What will I do if Hanson ever quits writing about the Flood/Barnett families? They have become part of my life. He has made their characters so real, their antics so —so......
The series has been can’t put down, one book after the next to see what each character is going to do to someone or even self destruct!
I cannot praise enough Hanson’s insight into human frailty and folly, inner strength, wonderful language, customs, intricate story, or just plain fun.
How can I even begin to say how much I love this family! The are the worst people and the funniest most honest speaking. Thank you so much for the opportunity to read some of this series. I love your writting.
I have enjoyed every book in this series! The Floods and their extended family never disappoints. They're rude and crude but somehow lovable. Highly enjoyable and highly recommended. I can't wait to see what they are up to next.
I absolutely love the dairy women books. I find it hard to put them down. They are in morality is actually funny. My only criticism is the poor grammar used by Gerald Hansen. He really should employ a good proofreader. However I would still recommend these books, especially as a look at northern Ireland as it is today.
