Heather Young-Nichols is a USA Today Bestselling author of contemporary and paranormal romances. She writes swoony heroes and snarly heroines with a heap of romance.
When she's not writing, she's binging a show with her kids, watching baseball, or snuggling with her cuddly animals.
If you have ever fantasized about jumping on a band's tour bus for the summer and hitting it off with the lead singer, this is a book you will enjoy. Ransom is a fun, sweet and steamy romance with a touch of drama and a heaping helping of sexual tension. I particularly enjoyed the easy, taking-the-piss-out-of-each-other banter between the band mates, as well as the enviable friendship that Bellamy and her bestie Indie share. (Fair warning: there are sexual situations and a fair amount of cursing, which doesn't bother me but I know that's not everyone's thing ;-) ) *I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Ransom was enjoyable, not the best but not the worst either. At first I skimmed a bit of the book because I was a little bored and uninterested but then it started to get interesting. I didn't love the end of the book only because I felt the resolution of Chris and Hope wasn't the best, like it felt their stories were unfinished and they were still going to come back then I realised I was basically at the end of the book and that was that. What I did enjoy at the end though wasn't just Bellamy and Ransom's relationship but how Ransom actually got to tell Bellamy the truth of what happened and they didn't have a massive break-up fight because of it (though Ransom was a dick for not telling Bellamy what was about to go down and putting her through that) and that Bellamy listened to Ransom and heard him out, like it was a nice change from the usual stuff where character A doesn't hear character B out or let them tell the truth so they stop talking to each other.
Bellamy Harper needs to get away from her psycho ex-boyfriend. So when her BFF invites her to spend the summer on tour with two of the biggest bands in the world, she quits her job, and doesn’t look back. But running just made her ex angry. When he shows up on the tour, she knows that running was never the best idea.
Ransom Drake finds Bellamy aloof and challenging. At least until his ex-girlfriend shows up and says she’s pregnant which just puts more distance between him and the beautiful, funny redhead he’s so enamored with.
When Bellamy overhears Ransom’s ex admitting that she lied to Ransom… A secret Bellamy can’t keep. She tells Ransom and he has no reason not to believe her yet the ex has proof. Together they need to sort out the psycho and determine whether the ex-girlfriend is really lying before their pasts succeed in keeping them apart.
This has been a great series!!!! I received a complementary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, but I would gladly pay full price for this book. I was hooked with the first book in this series and couldn't wait to get my hands on this next installment. The story line is well written and she does a great job painting the picture of life behind the scenes travelling with a band. It's always fun when the author includes characters that were in previous books... I love the continuation of their stories and how they weave together. This is a great book and a great series to add to your book collection. Happy Reading..enjoy!
This was a great story. It was well written and fast paced. The chemistry between the characters was sizzling hot. This book has everything you need to keep you turning pages hot sexy men, steamy scenes and some conflict thrown in. I cannot wait for what this author writes next.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I was happy to read the second book in this series and find out about Bellamy and Ransom. I felt bad for what Chris put Bellamy through but happy she decided to go on tour with Indie. I am glad that after all the crap Hope pulled Ransom was able to prove she was lying. Ransom and Bellamy were good together.
Bellamy Harper is one of Indie's best friends, and when she needs to get away from her psycho ex-boyfriend, she accepts Indie's invitation to spend the summer on tour with two of the biggest bands on the world. Ransom Drake is one of the Courting Chaos' members and Cross's best friend, and when he meets Bellamy, the attraction between them is immediate, but she doesn't want to get involved with anyone after what happened with her ex-boyfriend, Chris. At the same time, Ransom's ex-girlfriend, Hope, appears and says she's pregnant. But when Bellamy overhears Hope admitting that she lied to Ransom, she runs to tell him. While they have to deal with Chris's threats and Hope's supposed pregnancy, they find that their feelings for each other are stronger than they imagined, and with each passing moment, the attraction only increases. I loved the story and the characters. I highly recommend the reading.
Ransom: Courting Chaos #2 is the second standalone book in this new rockstar romance series and each book follows a different band member. Told in dual POV with a guaranteed HEA. This one follows lead singer of Courting Chaos Ransom Drake & Bellamy Harper best friend of Indie (daughter of lead singer of Kissing Cinder & girlfriend of Cross of Courting Chaos). A fun & entertaining read with a bit of angst. I love the cute banter between Ransom & Bellamy. The narrative is well crafted & this author’s painting the picture of life behind the scenes travelling with a band is intriguing. It's always more fun when the author includes characters that were in previous books... I love the continuation of their stories and how they entwine together. Looking forward to reading the next book in this rock star romance series.
I loved this story and the main characters. It was easy and fun to read. The one thing I didn't like was the fact that the author, and I guess her editor, kept getting the main female character's and her best friend 's names mixed up. I had to stop and back up to the previous paragraph to be sure I had the right female. This is my first book by this author but I will definitely read all the books in this series.
I loved Ransom and Bellamy’s story. It was a rocking good read. I loved the story line. This is a great series to read and I highly recommend it. I voluntarily reviewed an arc for my honest review.
I can't remember where I came across this book and only after I started reading it I realised this is not my first book from Heather Young-Nichols. I really loved Up for Grab and was pleasantly surprise to come across another book from her without planning too (yes, I still have Up for Grab #3 on my TBR).
At the beginning, I was trying to figure out what was wrong with Bellamy. She had this strange two sides to her and I actually didn't like it. But as the story unfolded, I understood better and felt that that irritation I had for her, in the beginning, turned into a lot of respect and a sense of protectiveness over her. While on the other side, Ransom is the typical rockstar - playing the field and enjoying the fruits of his success. But saucy little Bellamy really got him all twisted up.
While not really instalove... the romance bit between the two was a little quick. I would have loved a longer story with a bit more depth. But this is good for a nice weekend read just to unwind.
This is book two in the Courting Chaos series. While this can be read as a stand-alone, I would recommend reading book one to fully understand some of the past references in this book. This is written in dual POV and is Ransom’s HEA.
Bellamy joins her BFF Indie on tour with Courting Chaos and Kissing Cinder to get away from her stalker, crazy ex. She and Ransom click right away and are drawn to each other. As they form a friendship and get closer, his crazy ex makes waves as well.
I loved Bellamy and Indies relationship as well has the relationship and brotherhood with the guys in Courting Chaos. They are never short on the fun, witty banter. I enjoyed Bellamy and Ransom spending the time to talk and get to know one another vs immediately jumping in the sack.
I really enjoy this series so far and can’t wait to see which band member gets the next book!
Ransom (Courting Chaos Book 2) by Heather Young-Nichols ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Bellamy Harper was trying to put a lot of space between her ex Chris and herself, so she took off to see her friend Indie in Ohio. She really wanted to see the bands Courting Chaos and Kissing Cinder and could do that with her friend. While riding the tour bus of Courting Chaos, she meets Ransom Drake part of the band. Their first meeting wasn’t as good as it could have been, but she does get to know him much better as time goes on. I really like the dynamics of the characters and their bands. They all had a place and integral parts to play. Of course there is a major blip with Bellamy and Ransom, but what would the romance story be without a blip and an antagonist? A very enjoyable read, as are all Heather’s related books.

Indie's best friend, Bellamy, joins Indie on the tour for what was supposed to be two weeks. She is carrying a secret burden that leaves her on edge and unwilling to trust Ransom and his interest in her. Ransom has someone from his past come forward claiming to be pregnant with his child - a fact that does nothing to improve him in Bellamy's eyes. We discover that Bellamy is running from a stalker ex and she fears he will find her. Thanks to social media, he does. Ransom and Bellamy have a connection that is hard to resist, despite all the things trying to get in their way. As in Cross, there is plenty of drama, and danger with unhinged characters (Bellamy's stalker ex, and Ransom's ex, Hope), but also plenty of emotion to pull you along hoping Ransom and Bellamy will be able to find their way through the mess with a chance for happiness in the future.
Ransom has to deal with the she-beast of an ex who is trying to get him back and he wants no part of her crazy. Bellamy is Indie’s best friend and has finally joined her to tour with The bands. The reason she finally joined her this summer is because Bellamy’s ex is a full fledged stalker who’s becoming dangerous and she needed to get away. Ransom falls for Bellamy when he first meets her but Bellamy is standoffish and Leary because she is basically in hiding from her ex and doesn’t trust now that she’s been burned. Bellamy is cocky and much stronger than she thinks she is and Ransom is super protective of those in his life. The two have several hurtles to overcome to be together with the bs their ex’s throw at them. I can’t wait to read Bookers story next!

4 1/2 Stars! Book two of the Courting Chaos series. Can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone. Told in dual POV with HEA. Each book about a different band member and their HEA. Ransom is the lead singer with an ex who doesn't want to let go. Bellamy also has ex problems and to get away from them she joins her friend Indie (main character from book one) on the tour for the summer. This was a short sweet story with a little steam and the drama wasn't too drawn out. Fun read, I recommend! ARC review.
Let me start by saying Bellamy and Indie together are the picture of girl power. I want to spend the summer with these feisty, snarky, kick-butt women. Even when everything around them is total anarchy, they’re still standing strong, fighting back for what they want. The guys in Courting Chaos are like the brothers I’m grateful I never had. It doesn’t matter what’s going down, they’ve got each other’s backs. Bellamy and Ransom are just as adorable together as Indie and Cross: sugary sweet with lots of sultry heat. I can’t wait to read more about the rest of the band.
She is on tour with her best friend and her boyfriends band. She is just tagging along. She sees Ransom and it just makes her off tilt. She has had an exboyfriend who has been stalker her since they broke up. He is bad. Ransom is there to help put her back together. He has an ex girlfriend who is conniving and tries to tell him something that is not true. the band is like a little family in itself. They tease each other also. They made him realize how he felt about her. it was a great book I cant wait for the next book
This basically picks up right after Cross ends but it still stands alone. Whoa! Ransom is just as hot as Cross and the way he didn’t give up on Bellamy had me all swoony. They both had their ex problems to deal with but I’m glad he didn’t let that deter him from what, or rather, who he wanted. We also get to see a lot more of Cross and Indie and get more time with the other band members. I can’t wait to know what’s up with Booker next.

I devoured the first book in this series like a starving rockstar and drooled in anticipation of the next. The author masterfully creates a story that's like being on tour with a band, minus the groupies and questionable life choices. The return of familiar faces from previous books is like running into old friends at a music festival, and I'm thrilled to see their stories continue to intertwine like a sweet guitar riff. Overall, this book is a face-melting addition to an already awesome series that's guaranteed to make your book collection more epic.
Ransom was a good guy. He just didn't have the best judgment when it came to women. Bellamy was a good person but again bad luck with guys. She was standoffish of Ransom anyway with his profession but adding Hope in didn't help. Once he proved to her that he was serious about her, everything was good between them. Good book

A rock star romance... This is book two in the Courting Chaos series and I really enjoyed this one as much as the first. Although this is a standalone story, I like that the characters overlap within the stories. The romance between Ransom and Bellamy is very well written with drama, secrets, and steamy romance. It is also interesting going behind the scenes of a rock tour.

This is another awesome read from this author. Ransom continues right where Cross left off. Now we hear Indie's best friend's story. Bellamy goes on tour with Indie and becomes friends with Ransom. But Ransom, despite liking Bellamy, has troubles with his ex-girlfriend Hope. Also it turns out, that Bellamy has a story of her own, as well. 10 stars.

I've read several books written by Heather Young-Nichols; she has done a great job at writing a good book; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of books her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book. This is another really enjoyable read from Heather Young-Nichols. I didn’t want to put it down. “Ransom” has a great, entertaining, well written storyline and really engaging characters whose chemistry and interaction make this an interesting book.. This is a really good, must read book from this author and I was engrossed from beginning to end
This is a fun and easy to read story. I enjoyed all the snarky banter between the characters. The storyline is well written and will keep your interest. The characters are well developed and likable with plenty of chemistry and spark. It has drama, romance, and a little mystery. everything you need for a fast paced entertaining story. I received this book as a gift and voluntarily give this review.
This story was so much better then book one, really enjoyed it. Ransom (if you can believe that name) is lead vocalist for courting chaos. This book is better because it had drama. One crazy ex girlfriend and a stalker ex boyfriend, and more. With this book there was never a boring moment. Bellamy is beautiful, smart and really sweet. The chemistry between Ransom and Bellamy is off the hook, hot. I recommend this story highly and can’t wait to read book three.
I read a lot , a whole lot . And I have fallen for these two main characters . The chemistry is so hot it sizzles . And I love that he doesn't get embarrassed . When the girls went out and the ex was there was a very good scene , but I loved Ransom's reaction to it ! When he tells Bellamy his reaction to her taking care of her business is too adorable . I will be reading this book again .
