Another brilliant, feel good book by this Author. Great characters (where can I find a Cameron?), fabulous story with a fairy tale ending. Mix of romance and suspense. What more can you want? Answer - nothing. I am privileged to have been able to read and review this book.

2.5 stars - Promising but struggles to deliver

There are only so many romance tropes, so complaints of predictability generally annoy me. However, the challenge for an author, when they decide to use one of the well-known & popular plot devices, is to write the characters so well that we care about them and feel what they are feeling and have a share in their happily-ever-after anyway.

Unfortunately, while I was initially willingly drawn in, there was so much repetition and it ended up feeling so dragged out.

It reached the point that I put it aside to reread another book. I started reading it again - it was around the point in the story where Aubree started the movie job. It's a bad sign when the book seems like nothing has changed, even though it's moved to a new setting, and it feels like a chore to finish.

It's done well enough to merit a 2.5 star rating, which for me means a story is readable, but there's nothing that moves it beyond simply being a mildly pleasant diversion when nothing better is available.

It was going pretty good until near the end when she accidentally confessed to her co-star that they weren’t really married. Like really? You are literally living every waking moment in fear and the first thing out of your mouth is that he’s not really your husband? I don’t know, to me it seemed hella unrealistic and very annoying.

DNF on the audiobook after chapter 12 or so (the cookie incident) from the author's YouTube page. The female MC was just too wacky and I could see no reason for the male MC to be interested...

Aubree, was an actress, having the part now of being stalked, and hiding away in a cabin, she didn’t want. Tyler’s harassment, caused her to be killed off in the soap she was doing. Saying her part wasn’t that important, after six months. More important, she had been enjoying a life without fear, until he got in her home, her personal things.
Cameron undertaking getting groceries for his newly bought cabin. Would the memories of putting items back, for not enough money, when he was growing up, ever leave. Those days were long gone.
A mishap at the grocery store and he rushes to help her, she panics, thinking he had found her, she hurries to leave. With a cap pulled down low. and not meeting his eyes, one would of though she was hiding something. He was use to women throwing themselves at him. One reason he bought the cabin was for isolation, and working hours he wanted.
Her dog Maya is missing, would he even help her look for her. A thank you not out in public, but at her cabin, for finding her dog. Confusion, disbelief, how did he know, had Cameron been in her cabin, as she looked at the gift he brought. Would she ever let her guard down enough to tell him, or was trust something that had to be built. A story, where you feel where she was coming from, the fear. great story to read, to the end in a sitting.
Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.

Hiding out in the woods with her faithful hound, Aubree jumps and starts at every turn. Cameron isn't hiding, but is enjoying the quiet and solitude of the forest whilst he works on his programs. He is bemused by Aubree's reactions to him and it takes a while for him to finally understand why she is so terrified. I loved Cameron's caring concern for Aubree and willingness to find answers to her difficulties. Aubree may have come across as insecure and irrational, but having had my own difficulties in the past, I was able to identify with her fears. The story is clean and easy to read, carrying the reader from one chapter to the next with ease. It is also well-written, a standalone and comes to a very satisfactory conclusion. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

I truly liked reading this book!
The Protective Billionaire is a engaging, suspenseful, feel good romance.
Enjoyable characters & romance makes
it the perfect read.
Aubree, is an actress who befriended
the wrong person. Not she hiding out,
frightened, till he's caught.
Cameron recently moved in the his
home. After a few chance meetings,
he & Aubree slowly become friends.
She just doesn't know who to trust.
The story kept me reading, wanting
to find out what happens next.
A MUST READ FOR EVERYONE!!!

I purchased a copy of the sweet fake marriage novel Billionaires Find Love book 1: The Protective Billionaire by Christine Kersey and this review was given freely.
The actress Aubree escapes to the mountains with her dog Maya to hide from a stalker but what she finds is the love and safety provided by Billionaire game app designer Cameron.
Interesting characters, Aubree's re-emerging into the public eye, Aubree and Camerons progressing feelings, a cute dog and the suspense of a stalker make this a complex and well balance sweet romance.

The Protective Billionaire

The Protective Billionaire - Haunted by a stalker with violent tendencies, Aubree escapes to a friend's cabin in the middle of nowhere. Cameron's world has become too noisy since becoming a billionaire. He purchases a cabin far away from the hustle and bustle to work without interruption. When their worlds collide, Cameron feels the need to protect Aubree at any cost.

This is a sweet romance that builds to a slightly suspenseful climax and ends happily.

I really enjoyed this book! Aubree was in an awful situation, and Cameron was definitely a knight in shining armor. They had a rough start...a few rough starts, but ended up being a great team. I loved watching their relationship progress, and the many sweet moments between them. Everything came together for an intense climax and a tender ending. It's another great book by Christine Kersey!

I received a complimentary copy of the book, which I voluntarily reviewed. I have given my honest opinion.

The Protective Billionaire has romance, a bit of mystery and moves along well. I always love the process of falling in love though in most romance stories it happens rather quickly compared to real life. But hey, it makes for a great story. Aubree is nervous as she is being stalked by a former date. Cameron is a wealthy man but appears to be a normal, caring person who quickly falls for Aubree and a protective streak comes out. Follow their journey to love.

Aubree’s boyfriend was a “sicko”

In fact he was crazier than ‘ole cooter brown’!! Maya, her dog, wasn’t a guard dog.
Tyler, the sicko, told her he was coming after her many more times after she went in hiding. One day Maya and Aubree were out walking through the woods and Maya went missing. Get to reading now for the rest of the story.

Still not a huge fan of 3rd person perspective in romance. Books that use it tend to repeat themselves a lot. This one was not an exception. I did like the un-conventional flow to their relationship though. Can’t really put my finger on exactly what was so different but I liked it.

Not amazing. But not completely horrible either.

This story was excellent and had a good representation of agoraphobia and anxiety.

I didn't like how quickly it wrapped up. I feel as though she rushed through the last bit when she could have expanded more.

The character growth was well done. You do have to suspend a little belief, and it is *kind of* instalove.

I do love a HEA, though. ✨️

This was ok. Nothing too special and it definitely had its‘ flaws but I overall enjoyed it. I listened to it while doing some painting and I enjoyed the audio available on YouTube (love that!). It had some fun tropes but I unfortunately don’t think I’ll remember anything about it by tomorrow. Might still recommend though - Why not?

A fairy tale romance with some good plot twists, interesting characters and a lot of secrets and miscommunications. Add a stalker to the mix, and you have an enjoyable romantic suspense that will keep you engrossed.

I really connected with this story. Was it over the top amazing? No, not really. I was well written, though. I was enough that it was credible. Plausible, and the hero was oh so sexy and hot. It was a cute, sweet, and romantic story. I thought it was a great Christmas read.

I listened to the author’s reading of this book. I enjoyed the plot and the storyline. I didn’t enjoy the audio. If I can find the physical books, I’d rather read it on my own. But it was still a fun read.
