This is a perfect book for major timeline of events with summaries. It really helped me understand the monarchy and how major events occurred under each monarch. It is not overwhelming like many books, but is more than just a time line. This is a must if you visit England, especially the castles.

A nice little easy guide of English history from 10,000 BC to 2016, focusing on main events. It does miss a couple of key people (I’m particularly sour over the omission of Lady Jane Grey) and doesn’t go into too much detail about the events, but it remains a nice reference for the chronology of England’s history.
