Silky, Siv, and Mitsuki are now willing to do whatever it takes to find and rescue Ambassador Galen Vim. But government agents, criminal organizations, and bounty hunters swarm the Titus II system. Getting to the planet alive may be the easiest part of this mission since no one has seen the ambassador since he was captured by Tekk Reapers.
Thanks to a vision from Oona, the young hyperphasic messiah, they know he’s alive and in the company of a mysterious young woman with unusual abilities. They also know that he has information essential not just to Oona’s survival but to the survival of human civilization itself.

Finished the first 3 books in the series. Gutted I’m going to have to wait for Book 4 now but the story is in a reply interesting place and I will definitely continue reading. I’m going to read the fall of the benevolence series now. Keep up the good work
This is the most exciting and creative Sci-fi series I've read in a long time. If you like quirky characters with heart, adventure and impossible situations that they somehow manage to get out of my the seat of their pants, never-ending chases with hardly a second to catch their breaths, then this is the series for you. I must admit when the author first introduced the main characters in the first book of this trilogy, I really had my doubts I could care one way or another about this oddball assortment of characters, but by the end of the book, which I could hardly put down, I grew to not only like the characters, but began to admire their courage and the ingenuity of each character for his or her expertise, including Silky, the indomitable AI chippie installed in Siv Genden's brain, whose seemingly omniscient ability to see all the possibilities of every situation, which gave not only Siv, but also his friends, with whom Silky was also connected, instant insight. The action is never ending, the danger from which the characters just barely escape, the world view is crazy and mixed up, but just leads the reader to want to continue to find out how Oona finally saves the Universe by reinstituting jthe great Benevolence, which once ruled the Universe in peace and harmony. Somehow, I thought all this would finally be resolved in this third book, but just like most of the end of the chapters, we are left with another cliff hanger. David Alastair Hayden must be writing another sequel to this series. It had better be soon.....
I hate to end this. SO... I saved the last bit for later. Why, why can't it continue? You know, I have been relishing this 3rd book knowing it had to end. You are a great writer. I can't say enough on how well you did this series. Not one skip or one mistake took me away from this awesome story. Please think about continuing this series.
This was good right up until the end. I frakkin' HATE cliff-hangers! The books in a series should stand alone, not end right in the middle of the frakkin' story!
Okay, venting over. Overall, this is just as good as the previous ones, and would have had 5 stars but for the cliff-hanger ending.
This book takes us thru Oonas’ fathers rescue. Siv and Bats must go they nearly impossible odds to finally reunite them. The action was nonstop and the final scene was crushing. Can’t wait to start next book!
Seems like an easy project but it is a lot of teams to all involved trying to either kill or capture everyone in their group. Then there is the getting away afterwards is still to be accomplish. Good book.
I’m not good at writing reviews, but I have to say I really enjoyed four of the series. It was fast-paced exciting and has very interesting characters. I would be happy to recommend it.
There is so much going on to take out the hero's that I had a difficult time keeping track. Silky kept up his irreverent commentary through incredible attacks. Whew!
This book was full of twists and character development. Can’t wait for the next one. I love that this series doesn’t always go exactly right for the protagonist
Excellent book , thoroughly enjoyed this installment. Great story and characters. Keeps you sucked into the story. Will definitely try to find the next book.
I loved all the action and unexpected turns of the story, the new characters and the mysteries that will be revealed not soon enough, can’t wait to start the next book
