I picked up this book hoping for a quick enjoyable read. For whatever reason though it was not as I expected. The stories were interesting enough, but they weren't the type that I had anticipated. Progress through the book was slow and frustrating. I would only recommend it if you are interested in knowing more about the history of the Lake Superior region.
