After reading Phusen Noix, the first book in the Nalabecian Chronicles, I was hoping to find out how the story continued in Genesis Ending. Finlay seems to like to put his readers in suspense because not only did I not find out what happened after the end of Phusen Noix, he also ended Genesis Ending with a cliffhanger.

It took me a little while to be completely drawn into the story but about halfway through I started having a harder time putting it down. The author is very talented in being quite descriptive without having it be too much, and you can tell he has spent a lot of time thinking through his surroundings and what they should look like. His characters are multi-layered and complex, but tangible nonetheless.

Finlay knows exactly what he’s doing; getting his readers hooked. Well, it’s working, and I want to find out what happens next. Bring on the next one.
