Ma Boyong (born 14 November, 1980) is a Chinese novelist, columnist and blogger. In the year of 2010, he won People's Literature Prize, one of China's most prestigious honors.
His short story The City of Silence was translated into English by science fiction writer Ken Liu.
The main dilemma reminded me of ‘Terror,’ when you have to choose whom to sacrifice and whom to save. It’s evident that xiaojing has his own moral and ethics; we know what he’d choose, ‘people.’
Nonetheless, I have sympathy towards the oppressors too. They have enough motifs to become terrorists. The horrendous deeds the govt. officers have done should be taken account for or else i would be disappointed. So excited to see the direction in the last book!
