The Cardwells and Savages are back in Steel Resolve, the first book in Cardwell Ranch: Montana Legacy, a new series by New York Times bestselling author B.J. Daniels—plus the bonus classic that started it all!
Steel Resolve
Mary Cardwell Savage never meant to send that letter to Chase Steele. How could she know her words would bring him back to Big Sky, Montana—with an unstable and dangerous stalker following close behind? Now Chase wants to prove that their love deserves a second chance. This time, nothing will keep him from his heart’s desire…not even a killer.
Crime Scene at Cardwell Ranch
Dana Cardwell hoped never to lay eyes on Hudson Savage again. Until a bunch of old bones turn up on her family ranch. Now the interim marshal, Hud, is back in her life to investigate the decades-old crime. And Dana is the unsuspecting target of a killer in the canyon—and on round-the-clock watch for Hud’s heartload of regret.
B.J. Daniels started her life in Houston, Texas, before her family moved to Montana at age five. She grew up in a cabin in the Gallatin Canyon near Big Sky and later on Hebgen Lake near West Yellowstone. Because of her love for Montana, most of her books are set there. Born into a storytelling family, all she'd ever wanted to do was write stories. After a career as an award-winning newspaper journalist, she wrote and sold 37 short stories before she finally wrote her first book, ODD MAN OUT. Since then she has won numerous awards including a career achievement award for romantic suspense. She lives in Montana with her husband, Parker, two Springer Spaniels. When she isn't writing, she quilts, boats and. makes rope/fabric baskets. She always reads, loving to lose herself in a good book.
This is really good. Chase and Mary grow up in neighboring ranches, but Chase feels he needs to grow up somewhere else, so he leaves, but later regrets it. He's by trade a finishing carpenter so he works all over. His new boss is Rick who invites him over for dinner, he gets a little snockered and picks up a girl named Fiona, but she's crazy as a loon. Believes every one wants to be laid anf if not she kills them. It gets messy, but eventually Chase gets back to Mary, but not before Fiona becomes Mary's new friend!
I have rated this book a five star. Loved it it was so exciting from the first page to the last. The mystery of these killings who done it and why. Love, be trail, forgiveness, you have to read it and enjoy the twists and turns for yourself. A page turner for sure.
