This is a story about real people but contains elements of the supernatural. A Native American tribe has cursed the gold mine that caused them to be driven from their land. In the present another man has come to defy the curse and reopen the mine. All the characters are interesting and dealing with their own baggage. The climax will make you scream with frustration.
This was a good story, read it in a few hours, didn't want to put it down. It's sad that an innocent family was caught in the middle of something they had no control over. And a mother's love, just shows how far a mother will go to protect her children from harm. Even though her husband thought she had lost her mind, not believing anything she had to say, not trusting her with her own children. Calling the police to pick her up. No Matter how terrifying things were, Amy would not give up on her children. I recommend this book, I was so in to this book, that it surprised me when it abruptly ended. I hadn't realized I was that close to the ending. I enjoyed reading this book.
Wish I had read the reviews before reading this book. There is a preface book out there somewhere. I read 1 and 2, confused the whole time as to why the story of the family began in the middle, and who was "the boy"? I read the Kindle editions, only 2 available, and no numbers on the books that are named the same thing. Same picture, on the cover, just a different color. Very confusing. The story itself was entertaining, but I sure would have liked to know I was not at the beginning of the story.
If you're into native American folklore and shamans and that kind of stuff, this story is right up your alley. It was well written and cleanly edited, but I felt cheated at the ending. I wanted an HEA and got 'reality?'
Again James Hunt gave me a very good read. Some things I did not want to happen and an ending that caught me kind of off guard. As I read I kept thinking, how is she going to get out of this predicament. Well! Guess what? It’s your turn to read and see.
A curse has been placed on a mine, that is now set to reopen. Follow the terror for a family that moves there. The love for her children against all odds even her husband, will haunt you to the end. Given audio for my voluntary
