i really only bought this because of the cover, but before reading i thought it going to be more about hollywood scandals rather that what it was actually about. though this was interesting, i found myself being a bit bored.
3.6- Very interesting. This was a gift from my mother. I truly enjoyed it. However, I would have enjoyed it more if the content had expanded outside of the political narrative a bit more.
I bought this book from a Barnes and Noble for ten dollars. It looked interesting at the time.
Great American Scandals is a book that does what it says on the cover. It discusses scandals in all sorts of fields from finance to entertainment.
The book reminded me of a lot of different people who had committed crimes or acts of treason. Who could forget Bernie Madoff and his massive Ponzi scheme? I could, that’s who.
The book was adequate. Thanks for reading my review, and see you next time.
It was interesting to a point. If you love non-fiction and jumping around history back and forth x10 then this book is for you. A solid meh. Wouldn't read it again.
This compendium gives short, brief descriptions of different scandals in American history. The story-telling is far from robust; this book is the definition of light reading.
