This book was a nice summation of 100 American women who changed the world on so many levels, including artists, entertainers, Civil Rights leaders, abolitionists, suffragettes, activists, scientists, athletes, politicians, pioneers, journalists, poets, and writers. My husband gave me this book in celebration of Women's History Month. It's a short book that highlights the lives of women who made a tremendously positive impact on people around the world.
I bought this in the “Annex” section at B&N and was surprised more people hadn’t read it (at least on GR), but was told it was a “coffee table book” (I agree, it’s a book people would probably put on their coffee table but probably not actually read). It was an interesting book.
Brief look at 100 women in America who made not only what the title suggests- a change, but also I felt like all made a difference that would reach beyond their years on this earth. I wish they would have put more info in- limited pictures and more content. I’d call this a coffee table book.
Interesting snapshots into 100 American lives. I wouldn't consider this a "top 100" by any means, and I might even change the title. 100 groundbreaking women would be more apt.
