Life and love provides us second chances , when anything becomes possible...
Being a single parent can at times be extremely difficult and challenging, especially when in a small town where the father of the child deny’s his existence and zero responsibility. Just makes life plain horrendous. It also brings the most amazing rewards in the bond that forms between a mother and her adorable, precocious child. The precious gift’s of a wonderful community, friendship and a man that returns home that makes her wish for more. While attraction my loom, so does the fear and insecurities to try again.

It’s a close knit town, where everyone knows you and knows you intimately, your joys, your pains, your strengths and your fears. This is Candi’s story and her journey to trusting love again.

More than a brief moment in the past, gave them a glimpse of.
PERFECT STORM is a beautiful weekend read. Sweet moments, along with the wonderful, quirky characters, and it’s small town atmosphere yet that element of finding yourself caught up in the drama that certain people think they are entitled too, adding that touch of dramatic intrigue. Geri also weaves in those that we will meet in coming books of this series. I’m looking forward what’s coming next. I received the ARC for Perfect Storm from the author in exchange for an honest review. This is the second book in the series that I have read. It is definitely a standalone book and you do not have to read the others in the series to follow this story. This is the story of single mother Candi, who continues to be harassed by her ex who will not publicly acknowledge their child. The start of the book has Austin return to town and starting a relationship with Candi. They had a brief flirtation at the end of high school, but she was with someone else, so it never went anywhere. The book was good but much of the story seemed very similar to book two in the series. The high school boyfriends, who were all cool and popular turn into abusers, physically or emotionally and the new guy comes back to town and helps to save the heroine. The other secondary characters, who were the focus of the prior books are all friends and now work together to help the heroine to alleviate the issues with the ex, now that the new boyfriend is in the picture. In both cases, it seemed that the whole town knows what the ex is doing but it does not get fixed until the hero shows up. Overall it was a good second chance, small town romance with a few twists that kept me reading. Although it was similar to the other book, I enjoyed the characters and especially the rapport with the kid and how they fit him into their relationship development.
Perfect Storm is book three of the author’s Storm Warning series. Though characters from the previous stories make an appearance, this is a stand alone. This story centers around Austin Crawley and Candi Anderson. They knew each other in HS . Little did they know that a single kiss they shared one night, would change both their lives forever. Eight years later, Austin, now an FBI agent, is moving back to his hometown and Candi , a single mom, works at a diner. The attraction is evident and when the man from Candi’s past threatens her, Austin comes to her rescue. This book is about relationships and families or lack thereof. A reminder that childhood experiences and how parents treat children, does in fact affect them as adults. But also, that forgiveness, hope and love have the power to heal. Looking forward to what else the author has in store for us. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

This is the third book in the Storm Warning Series but can be read as a standalone. High school friends Candi and Austin, are reunited when his job as an FBI agent bringd him home. Lots of drama with her evil ex. Their chemistry is amazing but trouble is in the air. Lots of secrets revealed and an entertaining story. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to review. A good second chance romance.
