Wow

We are deep in the court drama now as Verity and her court are summoned to what I swear is one giant trap. As each new surprise pops up they handle it well in ways I never could have dreamed of. The world building is just amazing and the characters are so in depth you feel like you've known them forever. If you like fantasy you have to read these!! I loved it so I give it 5/5 stars and I really need the next book like now!!

Things really ramped up. I loved seeing Verity manage political intrigue. I loved it even more that all of the princesses - Nymea, Candiria, Gobeth - were so supportive of Verity, and awesome in general. Aziz has been a favorite of mine for a long time, and I cannot wait until Verity finds a way to break the curse on his house. This book continued to be exciting, magical, and hot. 4 stars.

Amazing

In book 3 of the Sleeping Court series, Verity travels to her rightful kingdom. While awaiting trials to take down Adora, she meets the other Princesses. What will happen to the guards of the Princesses? Will Verity add more?

I spent the entirety of this book on the edge of my seat and I’m still teetering there. Verity heads to meet the Courts and it’s one hell of a meeting. I absolutely adored meeting the Princesses and I’m praying the authors give us their stories after Verity’s is concluded. I feel like I can’t say too much without giving the story away. I can’t wait for the final book in this series.

Please note I purchased this series via Audible as a set.

The Sleeping Court is a completed series however there are spin off series in the same universe you can indulge in and although you don’t need to read these four books first to enjoy the rest I would totally recommend it.

This series is a fast paced PRN reverse harem. Whereby our FMC needs to build a power base in order to claim a crown. It’s super steamy so expect MF, FF, MFM and MFF scenes.

It’s also written in several POV including allied characters. I listened to the audiobook so I’m of two minds of the performance some of it I liked but there were times where I cringed so maybe stick to reading as it did dampen my view of some of the characters.

Trance is the third book in the Sleeping Court series and of course, I loved it. I listened to the audio version and once again Joshua Macrae makes an amazing story even better.

Things are starting to get serious, Verity and her court are on their way to the High Court to compete for the crown and things are getting very deadly. Poppy and Adora finally make an appearance and they are just what I expected, snobby, entitled, and pretty much a hot mess. They are all the things that are wrong with faerie and they won't stop unless someone can step-up and make them and unfortunately for Verity people are looking to her.

Verity is such a wonderful character, she trusts those around her and she trusts her instincts to guide her. While she knows she has the weakness of not growing up in faerie she doesn't let that stop her and she isn't afraid of asking questions when she doesn't understand things. Verity is generally nice, welcoming, kind, compassionate, and considerate and those around her can't help but feel that.

I especially love Verity and her guard, they are all so loving towards her and she to them, it's especially sweet considering that she has never had that closeness with anyone. She is a good person who is cared for and people can't help but like her, especially prince Aziz. The connection between Verity and Aziz is so really, they genuinely care for one another, it's such a shame that the curse is still active become I think Aziz fits so well into Verity's circle, I am hoping that someway they end up together.

The princesses from the other courts are present and they are a pleasant surprise. They are each so unique but also so welcoming towards Verity, they get along so well, Verity can't help but care for them and their guard. It was very interesting seeing the other princesses and their guard, to see how they interact with one another and how they interact with everyone else. It did make for great entertainment, especially Nymea of the Blood Court. Nymea is something else and her guard is crazy as heck, it's gonna be real interesting to read her series in this universe.

As for the story, Trance was perfection. There were balls, big events, sassy and shade being thrown, hot sexy scenes, poisonings, royal politics, clothes to die for, murder, a couple surprises and so much more. I loved every moment of this book and when I had to put it down, I couldn't wait to pick it back up again. Verity has grown so much through the series and it shows, it's gonna be up to her to set things right and I can't wait until she kicks Adora's and Poppy's butt and wins the crown.

This series is checking off all kinds of boxes for me. There is intrigue, there are all kinds of paranormal/fantasy creatures (have I told you about the Basilisk? Yeah there is a queen with a consort!) and a whole bunch of "old world" court issues. Princess Verity is continuing her journey to become queen, but not without a whole lot of people out to get her, she's also got a whole bunch of them supporting her. The politics in this part of the story are out of this world (fitting) but are very contemporary in their schemings. Verity is having a hard time seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, but if I know these authors the light will be bright and shiny when we get there. GAH! How to tell you without giving anything away isn't easy... you'll just have to read the series yourself.

Drama is ramping up

Verity and her guard have finally arrived to the high court and her journey to obtaining the crown as queen is ramping up. More drama and betrayals in this book as well as more alliances and loyalties were revealed.

The revelation of Aziz and his role in Verity’s life did not surprise me but I was still happy to read about it. The over the top professions and proclamations of love was still cheesy to me but not enough to turn me off of the book.

I will definitely be finishing this series and reading the others out there on the other courts and princesses. I am curious as to what the overall story arc will be in those since this one is mostly focused on helping Verity to become queen.

Book 3 of the series and it's just sweeping me away.

Growing her power, our Princess is still gathering all her people and building her alliances when the unexpected happens and the call comes to start the competition for the crown sooner than everyone anticipated. This accelerated timeline it a direct middle finger to our crew and a sign that the competition is a little scared of what she will bring to court.

I'm loving all the guards and the feel of their various relationships with Verity and with each other. The banter, the teasing, it's hilarious at times. Seeing how they mix and combine, how the interact with the other courts and allies, it's so much fun. And the pop culture references makes it feel very real. It's not a distant made up world, it's part of this world. Makes everyone (even the very old but very sexy demon) so relatable.

Again, great narration on the audio by Joshua Macrae. It just pulls me in and makes me want to ignore everything else I'm doing so that I can let the voice sweep over me and bring me into the world of Verity and her guard.

This one also has a cliff at the end and it's a nail biter. I literally clicked into the next book as soon as my fingers could open the app.

Slow

The book a little slow in terms of development and I felt there was too much going on at once that left the reader with some difficulty in following the storyline. Hence the 4 stars. I feel however that Dagmar continues to build a great and unique story well worth the read. Some effort was spent in this book putting "stains" on the captain and I would like to see that position reversed in the next book. I believe this series started with very strong female characters; and the author should stay with that. It was one of the things that made this series enjoyable after all....

The Sleeping Court Book Three.

Princess Verity, Prince Aziz and their courts are summoned to Fairy for the competition of their lifetime. The battle between the princesses of each court is on the horizon, and Verity must be prepared. The courts all meet and are thrust into Queen Poppy's version of the Highland Games. As tensions between the courts rise, casualties on both sides are inevitable. Can Verity gather enough strength and wisdom to beat Poppy and Adora, or will the new queen continue her mother's terror?

If you've been waiting to meet all of the other courts and their princesses, you will not be disappointed!

Heart attack waiting to happen

This book has so much emotion rolling through it, omg. Verity's power "struggles", her guards growth and personal struggles(dont worry, you'll find out what I mean). And so many revelations. Like holy crap. You meet princesses. Gogo, Mea and Ria are ahhhhmazing! Of course Aziz is around still and holy hell do we learn a few significant things about him. Huge huge things. I laughed, I teared up. I wanted to throw my phone. The courts are just incredible. I'm so in love with this book

The hits keep coming!

A solid 4.5 star book but rounded it up because hell I love it! The characters are developing more, new characters are being introduced (not too much), and there are turns at every corner. The story is original, the thing to make it better and why this book did not get the true 5 star rating is because there were multiple POVs and we as the reader figured it out (it was easy)...however, it would have been nice to have a chapter title with who's POV was coming. Don't let the small price tag of this book keep you from enjoying it!

Omg really!!

I have to wait another month for the next book....the ending was just wow.... Can not wait for book four! I absolutely love Verity and the way she is. She is so honest and thinks about everybody, if there any reason they may end up unhappy she will try to fix it. If someone is hurt she will do anything to help them! The connections that are coming out was not expected but so worth it! Amazing writing.......cant wait to read more

OMG

Another fantastic book! I thought about it all day while I was at work because I kept getting interrupted and wasn't able to finish it. But oh well. I love how we are really getting to the thick of the story, and things are getting really good with the relationships that are developed and developing. I really can't wait for the next book. Please don't keep me/us waiting too long! ;-)

I enjoyed this third book the most so far in the series. Things are hotting up with the competition and tension is high as all houses are now at court.
This book was more about learning who all the other princesses and houses were, how they were connected and where everyone's loyalty was.
There was a lot less sex scenes in this book as it concentrated more on the characters, and there were quite a few more to learn. I did loose track of a few during the beginning of the book.

Sex and enough political intrigue for an epic fantasy. Verity has been growing ever stronger but it’s hard to play the game when the rules keep changing. In this book Verity is ordered to Court three weeks earlier than anticipated. She and her court will make new friends and enemies. This fast paced book will leave you reeling.

It just gets better

I was hooked into the series with the first book! The second one was done way too early. This third installment in the Sleeping Court was my favorite and I devoured it in less than a day. I cannot wait for the next book to emerge myself in Verity's world.
The characters are rich and it's a great blend of storyline and sexiness that leaves you wanting more.

I loved this longer next installment in The Sleeping Court series. It was so great to see the workings of the court and to get to meet the other princesses and their guards. I loved how through those interactions Verity was able to grow and learn more about her guards and her parents.
While politics irl aren’t my thing, the faerie politics are captivating and I just need to know what’s next!
