This is a story about unexpected chances with finding Love. Penny left her small town in a whirlwind marriage to Penn whose life is in NY. Penn and Penny are happily married and as time goes on the thrill of living in a big city wears off and Penn becomes very distant. Penny stays trying to work on her marriage to no avail and finds herself alone and without any friends. When Penny’s mom needs helps recovering Penny goes home to Montana to help out. Once home it starts to fell right and then Penny hears her brother, his wife and adorable daughter are moving home Penny wants to be around her family again. Years ago all of her brothers friends were never allowed to talk or look at Penny so when Walden finds out Penny is home he finds ways to see her and spend time together. Walden is giving Penny the space and time she needs as friends but is waiting until he can show her he wants, her. Walden’s past was not easy and he has become a hard worker and a man full of love he can not wait to share with Penny! When Penny finds out she is pregnant and her husband Penn wants a divorce and no rights to the child does Penny finally realize that she can move forward and will have family to help her. Walden is a man on a mission and steps up and shows Penny what he wants, her and her baby! Penny and Walden have a wonderful connection and the chemistry is very natural between them. Where do I start? This is a fantastic read!! Claire Angel has the most amazing ability to write heart melting romantic books. The ending of the book was so heart felt it made me tingle and nearly had me in tears because that's what love should be like. The characters are very likeable and it was lovely to catch up with Mark and Bri from " Hot Mountain Daddy". The story line was very natural but when Claire puts the magicaly touches it turns into a smash hit!!
Pennys marriage is in trouble, well it has been for a while so when her muma was taken poorly penny didnt think twice when she returned home to Montana to help her with her recovery. Her brother and family were also coming down to look for a property so they would be closer to their muma. It felt so good having her whole family around her. She had moved to live in New York when she got married but it never felt like home. When Mark and Penny were growing up Mark was very protective always telling his friends to stay away from his baby girl, Walden never did anything although he wanted to do and now that penny was home again he was not going to let anything get in the way of getting to know Penny. Even a Ex i dont want to give much away but this is a story of finding your true love

i read this book as part of an arc program. Penny has come home to her hometown after living in New York to help care for her mother after her mother fell ill. Penny is also using this time to decide if she wants to leave her marriage to Penn, who is distant and she is lonely. Penny is sure her marriage is over, but she has to find the courage to take the final step. Penny's brother and his family are also moving back to town to care for their mother. When Walden, a friend of Penny's brother, comes over, he sees Penny and wants to date her. Walden always liked Penny, but her brother wouldn't let any of his friends date her. Walden knows she is married and knows she is staying, so he wants to be with her. Walden tells Penny he is willing to be friends for now and when Penny finds out she is pregnant, Walden wants to help her raise the baby Penny's husband doesn't want. Penny decides it is time to move on and allows herself to be with Walden. i think Walden was a great guy and he really loved Penny. I think she loved him too and realized her marriage was a mistake. I think Walden and Penny were great together and had great chemistry. Good one.

Ms. Claire Angel has just released gold! Mountain Man's Little Sister is everything you'd expect a great romance book to be. There is heartbreak behind Penny as she heads back to her roots, in a quaint and small home town, to help her Mama and while Penny's marriage is ending, her one true love has found her again. Will Penny recognize him? Can Walden convince her to stay and give him a chance? While I found this storyline to be riveting, it is the supporting characters (Mark, Bri. & Lindsey) that will capture your heart just as much as the main ones. Walden and Penny belong together but the journey taken to get there isn't easy. I encourage all romance junkies, like myself, to follow along, just like I did, to see just how they get their HEA. Wonderfully Crafted.

Okay, not literally the boy next door, but Walden fills the roll nicely: mature, helpful and down to earth. In contrast, Penny is still trying to find herself and in a marriage that is not quite working out when she comes home to help her sick mother.

As would be expected in a romance, a relationship starts develop between the two, with all the expected complications, such as Penny is still married and Walden is her brother's best friend. It's complicated, but then so is real life and Ms Angel does an excellent job of portraying the characters and the plot. I found myself drawn into the story and rooting for our couple from start to finish. And it finishes in grand style with a nice HEA.

Highly recommended.

A very well-written book the has a great sweer enjoyable storyline full of excitement.  It is fast paced and captivated me from the beginning in this heartfelt romance with great characters and awesome secondary characters. Penn moves back to NY to be with her mother and brother that is also moving back. He marriage is on the rocks when she starts seeing Walden who has always been in love with her. It is an exciting journey between the two where Walden is there emotional and physicslly when her husband just leaves her hanging. A nice enjoyable short read. I voluntarily reviewed this standalone ARC.

I could not stop reading this book. It was so smoothly written and grabbed my heart from the very beginning.

Walden was a dream and his love and care for Penny was the stuff of legends. Who doesn’t understand the feeling of falling in love with a cubic zirconia and then finally finding that beautiful diamond that has been patiently waiting.
My heart was full.

This is a light and sweet story of finding love. Penny left her husband Penn and went back home to take care of her ill mother. Her brother and his family soon followed.bringing his best friend Walden to the mix. Penny was always out of reach for Walden when they were growing up and now she was married, but didn't sound like a happy one. She also had a surprise. They learned to quickly love each. This is a beautiful story of how love can grow. This was a very well-written book, the plot was great and very enjoyable. I received this book as a free ARC in return for an honest review.

A well written romance that has a nice storyline and plot. Likeable characters with nice chemistry. I like the story is written in dual POV because that gives the reader more of the feelings and thoughts of the main characters.
Coming home because her mother has pneumonia and needs her help she meets a guy that is just the man she finds everything in. Her own husband lacks a lot of the things she wants and it is only getting worse as time goes. But can she risk her life for real love?
A captivating and engaging read. Short but absolutely worth the time and one-click.

This story could be a solid 4 star book but unfortunately there are several drawbacks for me. First is the cover. It doesn’t fit the story not to mention it’s a cover used so much for so many other similar stories, that I actually overlooked this book several times, because I believed I had already read it before. Then you add in the fact that the whole book is edited incorrectly for dialogue tags and it turns into a bad book. 🙁

Claire Angel writes happy romantic story’s that you lose yourself in, this second Chance Romance is easy to read and enjoyable. Walden and Penny a second Chance romance that blooms. This book is a light easy read curled up in a chair. The characters from the other books was lovely to catch up with them. 5 Stars amazing book.

Penny a married girl leaving her man in the city comes back to town because it wasn’t working out. She finds out she’s pregnant and lets her ex know but he wants nothing to do with it. Walden her brothers BFF wants everything with penny even taking her baby and making it his own. It has steam and love and I enjoyed it from beginning to end.

Second chance 💖

I like that it was short it went kind of fast but it wasn't A lot of drama. Girl comes back to her hometown after a bad marriage finds out she pregnant too but then start a relationship with her brother best friend that is a total babe and love her and the baby and gets a divorce and remarried again.💗

Impossible to put down, grab a coffee and settle in because you will be entranced with Penny and Walden’s story. When life is spiralling out of control for Penny, Walden comes and brings calmness. A beautiful story of an attraction when too young only to be given another chance. A must read book

Short fast read

This was a good book. I loved the chemistry Penny and Walden had. I just adored Penny’s whole family. I hate how her first marriage ended but better times and a sexy man came along to give her a happily ever after. It moves fast but it’s a good read.

Romance

This could have been any small town. I was not fond of the writing style. The pace was off for me.
