I tick off all the boxes for a rock star people love to hate. Problems with the law? Check. Enjoy every vice on the planet? Check. Women? Hah! Triple check. I take my pick every night.
The world is mine to conquer.
Until my latest stunt pushes my manager over the edge. Now he’s hiring someone to look after me while I’m on tour. Her job is to keep me out of the tabloids like I’m some kind of child. This should be fun.
Kennedy pretends she wants nothing to do with me, but that just won’t do.
She wants me. I know she does. She wants to know what it’s like to be with a legend like me. They all do. I’ll be more than happy to oblige her fantasies.
But I have a choice to make.
A new adult STANDALONE romance novel from Alex Wolf.
Alex hails from the Midwest and currently resides in New Orleans.
He enjoys writing steamy romance but more importantly he enjoys the “research” required to produce the steamy scenes. If you like filthy-mouthed, possessive alpha heroes and steamy romance, you’ve come to the right place!
This was an extremely quick read that was scorchingly hot. Most women dream about having a night of passion with a rock star and that is the position that Kennedy finds herself in when she is hired to be the road manager/babysitter for Guitar God Bryce.
Bryce is is used to groupies, but Kennedy really manages to get under his skin. Bryce is determined to seduce Kennedy and get her into his bed. What will happen when Kennedy is tempted by the sinful Bryce? Will she fall for his charms? The chemistry between them was off the charts, their connection so much deeper than either of them expected. Will Kennedy be able to do the job she was hired to do or is she doomed to fail?
Bryce has made it big in the music industry and is known for his wild antics and always being in the press more often then not it’s not in the positive light either. Kennedy is brought on to basically be Bryce’s “babysitter” and help contain the man and his actions. The attraction between these two is undeniable and you can only fight off desires for so long right... this is a quick rockstar romance that will have you hooked and tuning those pages non stop. I enjoyed this story just feel the ending was a bit rushed but at the same time it closed their story and there’s no cliffhanger. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
Alex will instantly put you at ease with the story. You’re in the set by seconds.
So,
Bryce music god keeps getting himself in to trouble. So someone has to keep an eye for him. Not tolerating anymore, his label and his manager warns him and this is it.
Kennedy is hired to baby sit. Bryce wants to take baby to bed :)
How can Kennedy resist this guitar demon?
This book was hot & fun! Will read it again!
I read an ARC and I’m leaving my opinion. Highly recommend this book for a refreshing read.
Over the top POSSESSIVE hero.... he got very jealous and even punch his own arm when the heroine tells him: "you don't own me so i can do whatever i want". Because she told him that she is having a lunch with her friend who is a guy. The hero even pay attention to who comment on her pictures and ask who is this and that lol.
SHORT SAFE ROMANTIC HOT LOVE Story.
NO CHEATING.
IT HAS SEPARATION like a month. But both are very loyal and didn't go to anyone else. EVEEEEERRRR....
NO VIRGINS.
HAPPY ENDING... The hero purposes to the heroine and looks like a happy ending. Only a short epilogue that made me give 4 stars.
When a rock god meets his new "babysitter" ain't nobody happy...turned on definitely, sexually charged absolutely!
When the bad boy of rock loses control, he gets a timeout and a babysitter. Only problem is that the sitter is sexy and business only. But Bryce gets what he wants and he wants Kennedy.
When Kennedy lands the job of assistant to Bryce she knew keeping him out of trouble wouldn't be easy. Keeping out of his bed...impossible!
An enjoyable sexually charged romance read that will rock you. Bryce is your typical rock star who needs babysitting, but when Kennedy enters the picture he is the one who will have his world rocked. She needs this job but she is fighting a losing battle when chemistry and close proximity isn’t helping. One click to find out if they both come out winning in this sexy entertaining read.
%SPOILERS% This book was too conflicted with itself. The main characters were paper thin 2D characters with no chance to define themselves m, because the author was too busy making them bone, or think about boing. If the characters were fleshed out more, it would makes sense for our male lead who says he doesn’t know anything about his female counterpart to suddenly propose.
I don't often submit reviews, but I really feel compelled to do so in this case. I hate to say it, but I was disappointed in this book. First, I feel the heroine's character was light on depth. We really didn't know too much about her background and I would've liked to learn more about her. Also...she starts as this strong person determined to stay professional. Then suddenly dives right into the physical with the hero. At this point I just had to stop. I really wanted to like this book, but it just didn't do it for me.
A quick good read. Good story line, although I’d have loved a little more depth to the characters. I understand short stories don’t give you that luxury.
Quirky and funny female lead and a sexy as sin Rock Star, with these two it’s always going to be an interesting ride.
I love Bryce. His cocky devil may care attitude is great. I loved the twists in this story and that you let Kennedy stay strong and not make her weak and pathetic. I highly recommend this story to others
Smokin HOT and steamy. The no nonsense, focused, hard working Kennedy has her hands full with the party player Rockstar. It's a very HOT read and will keep you hooked til the end. Thank you Alex for your reads! I love every thing I've ever read of yours!
Really quick story. Wished there was more to it. Think if Kennedy would of held out longer, and Bryce would showed a gradual change the story would have been better.
What do you get when you mix an arrogant, self-absorbed, manwhore of a rockstar, with the young, sexy woman who was hired to babysit him? You guessed it - STEAM!
Bryce Baxter is a wanted man. Not by the law (not all the time, anyway), but by all of femaledom. He never has to go far to find a willing young thing to warm his bed for a night or two. He doesn't chase them. They fall at his feet. Until her. His babysitter hired to keep an eye on him and keep him out of trouble. She is seemingly unaffected by him, but he'll make it his mission to get her in to his bed just to prove a point. Now, one bad decision, one impulsive action has taken her from him. What will it take to get her back? Is he willing to give it all up for the chance to love her?
Kennedy Stevens found herself couch-surfing from friend to friend after losing her last job. Now, she's been hired to keep Bryce Baxter out of trouble. And they're paying her double what her last job paid. How hard could it be? She's not sure which is harder - keeping him in line, or keeping her hands off him. He's arrogant, full of himself, and generally a disgrace to men everywhere. But those abs! Walking the line between professional stage manager and unprofessional band bunny gets more blurred by the minute. When the line is crossed, she can't help but fall hard. But now, after failing at the one thing she was supposed to do, has she lost him forever?
The story line was good, and it had so much potential, but I found it hard to connect to either character. There was little interaction between the two that would have added the friction that would later lead to sparks and flames. The leap from backstage to bed seemed a bit flat. I have really enjoyed Mr. Wolf's other books, and can't wait to see what he has for us next! But, this one fell a little short for me.
You've just got to love the way in which Alex Wolf tells a story. Once again he kept me hooked all the way through. A rock star who needs babysitting - unheard of - however Bryce Baxter is one such man, and Kennedy Stevens is the woman who has been hired to perform the task.
Bryce is an arrogant womaniser, a man who has an uncanny knack of getting himself in trouble with the law and with the tabloids. Kennedy has been hired to keep Bryce out of trouble, and away from the negativity of the press. When these two meet the attraction and chemistry is instant, however Kennedy is determined to keep their relationship strictly professional, something that Bryce wants to change immediately.
Lines are crossed and relationships are affected. Can Kennedy maintain the responsibility she was given? Or will one fatal mistake lead to Kennedy losing Bryce forever? Will Bryce realise that, because of one impulsive action, losing Kennedy may be the worse thing to ever have happened to him?
Loved this story. As usual Alex Wolf adds plenty of heat, steam and fan needing moments, between his characters. This was a great story, easy to read and full of fun. Definitely a recommended read.
Guitar God starts with Bryce getting reamed by David his manager for yet another stunt he pulled this time on stage. He's arrogant, cocky, selfish, manwhore who thinks any kind of publicity is good publicity. Twice arrested in as many months the record label is considering dropping him. David decides to hire Kennedy as his assistant but in reality he wants her to keep Bryce out of trouble be his "babysitter." When they meet Kennedy is determined to keep it professional but Bryce is hell bent on getting her in his bed no matter what the cost. Their chemistry is explosive when they finally get together but the way he talks to her and treats her especially in the beginning made it hard to like him. He likes to use women and throw them away like trash. When the tour has a break Bryce becomes obsessed with Kennedy and where and what she's doing which leads to an incident. He is arrested the paparazzi is there and everything goes downhill fast. Will his record label finally say enough is enough? Will Kennedy still have a job? What will happen to Bryce and Kennedy? I enjoyed their journey just wished we learned more about their back story especially Kennedy's so we could understand why she felt the way she did.
He’s a rockstar in every sense of the word; she’s his glorified babysitter hired to keep him out of trouble. What could possibly go wrong?
Kennedy has been couch surfing and just getting by. She applies for a job as road crew to a rockstar. Little does she know, she’s about to get a whole lot more than she bargained for.
Bryce is successful, but he’s a hot head and a total disaster waiting to happen. He’d fueled by alcohol and drugs every night as he performs to sold out crowds. Women are a dime a dozen. Too many impulsive decisions have left him in handcuffs more than once. Now that his record label has had it with him, he’s earned himself a babysitter.
Kennedy is intent on keeping things professional, but Bryce knows how to press all the right buttons. Things get pretty heated between these two! Their connection is freakin’ HOT! Bryce is talented on stage and even more so in the bedroom.
He was supposed to be a job. They both crossed the line and now they have to pay the price.
A quick read that’s fulfills that rockstar fantasy and delivers a whole lot of heat! Even the biggest jerk can change for the right woman.
this is a very quick and instant attraction to love story. you have a I need to survive girl meeting out of control Rockstar. I wish this story had developed some of the issues that they alluded to with to with both of the characters of this book. This is the only reason I am giving it 4 stars. I absolutely love Alex Wolf and the way he writes his stories and usually develops characters. I love the bryce character, I just wish there was more clarification on what the future held for all of his Antics and his demons, and as for Kennedy I wish it went into a little bit of what put her in her circumstances to bring her to have to completely work with him. in both instances things were alluded to but I feel like maybe there was more that could have been brought to light from their past on how their future was going to end up. I still recommend you one click this book, as I will still be buying it. This is my honest review for book I volunteered to read
4.5 Stars for Guitar God which throws us into the world of rock and roll. Bryce may be one of the biggest stars but he is out of control and his team have decided he needs a babysitter to keep him out of trouble. Kennedy applies for a job as Road crew what she didn’t expect was to be hired as the babysitter....... what happens when two people have an instant attraction but they work together what happens when lines are crossed ........ I love Alex Wolf’s style of writing I love his characters and I really loved Bryce, this is a quick read that delivered a whole lot of heat and proof that even superstars can change if the right woman crosses their path. Great read looking forward to more from this author
I loved Guitar God so much, just like Alex Wolf's other books it was beyond 5 Star amazing. Kennedy and Bryce start out under strange circumstances and no grown man likes to feel like they are being babysat. Things begin to change and you see the character grow just as much as the story with vivid imagery that makes it into a movie in your own head. You can see what the characters look like, their quirks and signs just as in real life but so much more enjoyable because it's your own imagination combining with the author's to paint a perfect story for you to love. Wolf will steal your heart from the first story you read with his great ability to weave words into a masterpiece. A must read along with all he's written.
I wish I could say that I loved this book, but sadly that isn’t the case. I don’t feel like I really got to know the characters other than Bryce is a jerk rock star, and Kennedy is hired to babysit him.
Bryce is arrogant, a jerk, and the way he speaks to her is just horrible. Kennedy doesn’t have much going for her and isn’t very interesting. The story never really went anywhere and I don’t believe that these two characters could have fallen in love from what I read. There was no build, no connection or sparks. I’m not really sure how these two fell in love.
I have liked Alex’s previous books, but this is a miss for me.

Guitar god and rockstar Bryce is a serious bad boy and a ticking time bomb waiting to go off. He spends his time drunk and high interspaced with his music and women. A handler, Kennedy, is employed to keep him under control and out of trouble. Originally he see Kennedy as his jailer, but it doesn’t take long for him to view Kennedy the way he’s never viewed another woman. And he quickly realises that before they met his life had no meaning and he’s never felt about anyone the way he feels about her. But things don’t always run smoothly. And suddenly he realises that no woman has ever done a number on his heart the way she has.
"I'm afraid you're going to slip away and that's going to be the end of us" Another great book by Alex Wolf. Guitar God isn't your typical "rocker love story" Kennedy isn't a pushover by any means and Bryce isn't used to anyone tell him no. I like the dynamic that quickly builds between Bryce and Kennedy, it's hot and sexually charged, but they both hold back due to past relationship issues. Alex is great at writing scorching hot sex scenes and capturing my attention from page 1 of a book. I look forward to the next book by this author. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Kennedy is tasked with 'babysitting' Bryce Baxter after numerous publicity disasters. All she has to do is keep him on the straight and narrow!
When when their relationship is discovered, Kennedy is fired and she cuts all ties and quickly leaves town.
After leaving everything behind and searching for a month, Bryce finally finds Kennedy and they continue on their road to HEA.
The story is quite typical of what we have come to expect from our fictional rockstars... manwhore to monogamous, the only real difference being Bryce's sacrifice to find his lady.
An easy read and quite enjoyable despite the lack of an original storyline.
